Muhammad Apu is Muslim and Laronda Johnson is Baptist. Laronda calls Muhammad a towelhead and tells him that his religion promotes hate towards women and has a reputation of violence. Muhammad retorts by calling her Aunt Jemimah and telling her that she belongs in the kitchen working under a man. And, he also tells her he cannot see why her god hates amputees. (Ask me if you wonder why that is...) You see where this conversation is heading. Fix it.

I'd go up to them, talk down to them, call them asinine bastards, say something like "See...Do you enjoy me calling you that? Do you like me treating you as if you're children? Well stop acting like you are! NO ONE, is going to have the same opinions as you, so unless you want to, in a sense, burn in a pit of fire, have your family and friends torn away from you, and suffer extreme sorrow, end up regretting ever existing, and living alone with 15 cats...I suggest you start respecting each other and start agreeing to disagree"

I would thump/delete/blank out the posts with the derogatory flame-bait and state a warning on the thread that behavior like that is not allowed and they need to discuss this topic in a more private or civil manner. Deleting the posts will prevent people from trying to necro the argument. If they continue to be disrespectful action will be taken against their accounts.
