Many things have changed, in fact the nation is now called Panem. There were thirteen districts that surrounded the "Capitol" They rebelled and there was a very long Civil War. The districts lost, sadly. After the rebellion, the Capitol made all of the 12 districts (District 13 was destroyed during the war by nuclear bombs) send one boy and one girl from each district into an arena, or what they call the Hunger Games. The kids sent inside are called Tributes. In the arena, they will fight to the death and the last one standing will live a rich and luxurious life. Though, nightmares will constantly haunt their dreams.
Now, this roleplay will take place in the 75th annual Hunger Games. Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Primrose, Haymitch, all of the main characters from the book do NOT not exist. Once a child turns 12 a slip with there name on it is automatically put in a bowl. Another slip is added each year and if you need money and food, you can enter your name numerous times for it. Now every year there is what they call "The Reaping" where names will be pulled from the collection of slips. One girl and one boy will be picked as Tributes from each district. However, if someone you care for is picked, you can volunteer for them. I think thats it. The Quarter Quell is something I don't think they talked about it much in the first book but in the second book they did. Every 25 years there is a special Hunger Games. So the last Quarter Quell was on the 50th annual Hunger games and now the third is on the 75th. Last time they sent in twice the amount of tributes. What will it be this time, you ask? Well I'll tell you. The Tributes must not only compete against themselves, but they must defend themselves against Mutts too. What are Mutts? Mutts are mutated humans, past Tributes even. They have no mind of there own, the only thing they feel is the need to kill. They resemble their former appearance slightly as in they still have their hair, body, and face looking the way it did before experiments. But they are covered in a thick brown fur from head-to-toe and they have evil freakishly yellow eyes. Their nails are long, sharp, and black and they also have longer canine teeth. Each Tribute has a Mutt assigned to it. How is this fair? Its not, and thats the whole point. Thats right, you've already been chosen, trained, dolled up, interveiwed, et cetera et cetera. Now your character will be waiting with their mentor and stylist to be sent in the arena. Now onto the plot. The tributes will fight as usual, some will die (But only a few. . . . or maybe none, depends on my mood ^^.) Then, unexpectedly, the Districts launch an attack on the Capitol. The remaining tributes will somehow manage to escape the arena and will band together. Once enemies, now comrades. Whats the worse that can happen? . . . . . ✓Follow Gaia ToS
✓ Be literate! That means no one liners whatsoever! I understand writers block but be creative! Write about how some cloud in the sky mysteriously resembles your grandpa's nose. I don't care. I'm asking for at least one paragraph, five sentances and no less
✓ Romance is greatly encouraged, just don't go over the top. No cybering. PG-16, so when the clothes start coming off, time skip. Also no falling in love at first sight, its unrealistic and not very interesting.
✓ Violence is also encouraged. Bring on the blood and guts! No, don't take that seriously. I allow some detail but not all of it. This is a violent roleplay but I don't want to hear what color someone's guts are, okay?
✓ Also, be nice to your fellow Roleplayers. If you have a problem, PM me or one of the mods.
✓ No all-powerful characters and absolutely no godmodding! I hate that with a passion! Grrr. . . .
✓ No chat speak. Use "this" for speaking and italics for thoughts. No * * or - - for actions, its quite annoying.
✓ Highlight this post, so I know you read the rules. Title PM's as " Why me? " ✓ I am goddess of this Rp, what I say goes. I also can add or remove rules whenever I want.

Little burrows may appear along with small ponds but mostly the arena is barren. There are, however, some small groves thick with palm trees and bushes but they are very rare to find. Basically this is what the arena looks like-  Got it? Now as for the clothes, the girls will be wearing khaki shorts and a black tank top. The guys will be wearing khaki pants and also a black tank top.
