I know; super cheesy, but I have a craving. This RP would go in private or romance depending on a few minor details.
I want to play a guy who, while not terrible, has been single for a long time and he gets stuck with a mail-order-bride. I kinda want there to be a small language barrier they can both slowly over come to make things extremely awkward in the beginning. I'd also aim for the bride to be hesitant to showing affection, but a "good wife" so she wouldn't get into arguments, or anything like that. (Maybe she was from a crappy part of a country and is happy to be out of there, so she doesn't want to make trouble for herself and get sent back.)
The time period can be any, really, I'm not feeling too picky. A Modern setting might be trickier to figure out why this has happened, while an old-timey fantasy setting could offer the easy plot of kingdom politics.
I'd love for others to play characters for this RP, too. Friends, and family. If it's medieval then maids and peasants could be played, too. I'm also willing to double up and play two characters.
Other characters may fall in love and make their own plots to weave into the main plot. I have no pre-mades in mind, the only thing is the bride is a bit on the pre-made side with how I do want her very much to be silently reluctant to bonding with her new husband.
The main theme is awkwardness, and (hopefully) eventual love blossoming. I don't fore see there being much action, but that could change with what setting is eventually picked. Characters with rich backs tories and distinct personalities are needed for this.
Lit-lit+ So I want three-ish paragraphs of well written details. A look into their personality, and so on in your posts.
So, will you marry me? biggrin

Anyways, I think a medieval setting would be fun...maybe even a fantasy setting as well?

I'm thinking fantasy, but very fantasy, and not totally medieval. However, I'd say it would be most like medieval, just not be restricted by the common thoughts on the genre, allowing players to have freedom to make different characters. It's not so much about having a realistic setting, but interesting characters. XD

I think it's cute actually. Cheesy or not, I'd be interested. I won't be much help deciding a setting or anything, I'm quite indecisive after all, but I'd love to rp if you figure it out. XD

Awesome-wonderful! I'll put it up in the Romance Section, then. With three people playing it won't have to be considered a private RP. XD
I'm not sure when, though, only because I'm trying to figure out the details of this and my changeling RP. XD

Alex: Mad Hatter and I are working on a spell list and a more solid plot than the simple 'we are changelings' However, I might start it before I get a solid plot and let things happen a little later. XD I'd be happy to have you in this romance RP, though! XD

It's okay. I understand.
Working on the spell list, and I think once that's up the RP is ready to go. I would have worked on things this weekend but I was away for my birthday, then I had to catch up on homework.
The mail-order idea is still pending for members and I need to hash things out with Twinge b/c she wants to be the bride, but I need to give her a run down of what I expect. smile
