Hunter- Currently unspecified, aspiring for Archeological

Name- Ciel Gantz

Age- 21, with the appearance of around his mid teens (15-16ish)

Gender- Male

Height, Weight and body build- 5'9", 120 lbs, a bit on the thin side, and slightly lanky

Description- Aside from his rather small build, Ciel’s main defining physical traits are neck-length black hair, (neck length in that it would reach his neck if it were entirely down, however it mainly hangs in spikes) and green eyes. In addition, he is often seen wearing white shorts, various dark colored t-shirts (most often green, teal, or blu[;e), a white jacket, and ankle-length boots which are a mix of white and whatever shirt color he happens to be wearing at the time.

Bio- Ciel was born and raised in a moderately small village out on the plains… but our story doesn’t begin there, rather in the nearby hills, and more importantly, the valley nestled among them. For in this valley lay a number of ruins, growing ever more dangerous the further one dared venture into them. Young Ciel was… drawn these ruins, enamored with them, in fact, and in typical troublemaking scamp fashion, could near constantly be found exploring them, despite several warnings to stay away. It was only natural what happened next… one day, during his usual wanderings, he came across a stranger, which was exceptionally strange, as it was rare to see even other members of the village in the area. As it turned out, this man was an Archeological Hunter, although he would not find this out until later. At first, he merely followed the man around in secret (He might have been aware of Ciel’s presence, but he was never really certain…). They probably never would have met in person, had Ciel never followed him that deeply into the ruins… on this particular incident, Ciel accidentally set off a trap. This one, however, was different from all the others… though he couldn’t quite tell why, but if the strange man hadn’t been there to save him, he probably would have died… Naturally, the man was not happy about it, and shooed the boy off and asked him not to return, to which Ciel agreed. He was lying, of course (Why should he back away now, after all? The earlier sections of the ruins were riddled with traps, as well, and he’d learned to deal with those just fine, he’d even developed greater reflexes as a result of having to evade these traps), and it didn’t take long for a similar situation to pop up. It wasn’t, however, until around the seventh time that the Hunter realized that he wasn’t getting rid of this kid. Deciding to cut his losses, he sought to at least be sure the kid wouldn’t get himself killed. This is how Ciel learned about Nen, and, in the process, Hunters. As the man taught him the basics of Nen (and about how many of the traps in the area around them incorporated it), Ciel grew increasingly curious about why the Hunter was there… and just what he did. Needless to say, once he found out, he was quite enthused about the concept, and so, at the age of twelve, he took the Hunter exam… and promptly failed. But fear not, ladies and gents! For he eventually made it, two years later on his third attempt. While currently more of an unspecified Hunter, he seems to be aspiring to specialize as an Archeological Hunter

Interests, hobbies, profession- Ciel had been, practically from the day he could walk, obsessed with the ruins near his village… and any ruin, really, for that matter

Tools- Cell phone.

Weapons- None, per se, although he does seem to have collected a number of old weapons from various ruins , some of which he has actually done some work on restoring.

Fighting Styles- None in particular

Main Hatsu Type- Transmutation

Power- Kamaitachi

Details- Ciel's aura emulates the properties of wind, as per his affinity for Transmutation. By combining his transmutation abilities with emission, he is capable of projecting whirlwinds for both offensive and defensive purposes, which will typically not exceed a height of 10 feet or a diameter of 6 feet. Offensively, this ranges from generating simple tornadoes to creating slicing whirlwinds capable of producing physical cuts (essentially cutting the object in question using his aura). Defensively, these winds can be used to deflect attacks, soften landings, allowing him to survive what would otherwise be fatal jumps or falls, and even float in the air, although the latter is more of a novelty, and has little practical use. He is, naturally, capable of doing most of this without using emission, but that would limit the range in which he could use the ability.

Pledge or Limitation- As his aura imitates the wind, it is very much constrained by the weight of the object in question, in particular since he has not studied manipulation. He can only affect up to 300 pounds via emission (up to 500 if the aura isn't separated from himself). This includes both attacking and defending. Additionally, the object’s momentum factors in, with objects with greater momentum also being more difficult to move.
In addition, the slicing ability is affected by the hardness or otherwise sturdiness of the object in question. Obviously the ability has a more noticeable effect on softer object, but he would only be able to do minimal damage to say, something made of rock, and little to none at all to any but brittle or thin metals. In a similar vein, more substantial objects are more difficult to deflect as well, as opposed to less substantial substances that could simply be blown away. Emitted tornados will typically last about 1-2 minutes on their own unless they run into a solid object they aren't able to blow away, or if they move across a starkly uneven elevation of ground.
