They always said there was a place that the sun didn't shine, but these children never thought that they would see this place. It was the Orphanage for the gifted. They called them mutants, but they weren't, they were just kids with extraordinary powers.
Lock-downs occurred nightly at precisely 9 o'clock, and electric was shut off to each room exactly an hour later. They would then turn power on again at 7:30 am, and then you were expected to be to the cafeteria by 8 or breakfast wouldn't be served. You were aloud to take your time with breakfast, lunch was at 12 and dinner was at 5. Other then that they were to stay between the cafeteria and the courtyard that had artificial lighting. There was a large pool, and soft grass, but there were always staff around the edges of the room watching. Using your powers was permitted, but if they were used in the wrong way, the staff would take you to the detention room... nobody went to the detention room and came out the same... they never got in trouble again, usually. Outside of that a staff member was assigned to you, and you were escorted around the premises.

Today a girl was lead into the facilities. She was placed in a room just before lock down that night. One other girl was there.
This girl was silent, her name was Nightingale Rose Thorn, after her parents favorite bird, and the flowers that happened to be her mother's favorite. She was here because of her telepathic powers. She could move things with her mind, as well as read and talk in other's minds. She didn't develop it well yet, and it would cause a lot of problems at regular orphanages since her parents had died in a car crash some weeks ago... There was a band around her forehead in order to channel her physic powers, the gem in the center, a dark sapphire, held her powers so she didn't get out of control.
Her white hair spilled over her shoulders, and her skin was almost completely white. Her eyes were a piercing blue purple. Her clothing was orphanage issued already. She looked over the other girl, and gave a very soft "hello." She didn't know the other girl had also just been brought in that day...

Kitsune just looked down not saying anything.
Kitsune was a young japanese girl 10 years od age with her power to see, control, and do almost anything ghost related. She has long black hair that went to the back of her knees, but right now it was spread on the bed. Her bright purple eyes looked lifeless as the peared toward the ground. Her name was based of the reason that in the history of japan there were fox poeple that helped ghosts find there place and kitsune means 'fox' or 'fox spirt' in japanese.

The girl sat on the other bed silently as the door closed and locked for the night. She looked over at the girl, wondering what she was thinking, everything was so silent with the band on, she didn't know how to get around the band just yet to control her powers. That was what the band was teaching her, stability so she didn't just do it on the fly and mess with everyone's minds. However, she didn't know how much trouble that could actually get her into...
She let herself flop down on the bed, unsure of everything now that she just couldn't tell what was going on in their minds... it had never been this quiet before, she started to shake a bit.

Kitsune snaps out of a trance as Nightingale hit the bed. "Oh hi" she says silently almost in a wisper. The hoarseness in her voice emplied she had been screaming at something resently. Kitsune Smiled at her roommate. Kitsune had a nice soft smile, well she was a cute young 10 year old girl , She never did much wronge in her life so though.

The older girl smiled, she was about thirteen, she was always said to be mature for her age, but that was because she learned through reading the minds of others, she smiled at the girl, "You alright there?" she asked gently, "My name is Nightingale by the way." she adds looking over the girl. She's trying to get the band off, but it was metal and specially fitted for her so that she couldn't get it off until her training was done and she no longer wanted it.

"I'm fine" Kitsune sighs wondering what the band was for. "I'm Kitsune" She wanted to ask about the band but to her she thought it would be a bit rude. Her parents always yelled at her about asking questions, this made her pretty quiet but very curious.

"Nice to meet you." she says there was a bit of a strugle as she spoke. She didn't trust the band and tried her hardest to get it off. A trail of blood started to run down her face from where she was digging to get it off. "Why won't this freaking thing come off!?" she grumbled as she continued to pull dispite the injury, infact she didn't notice anthing when she had her mind on something, like when she was younger and broke her wrist, three weeks before she realized it and felt the pain, she had been trying to solve a puzzle.

She stood up and ran over to Nightingale. She balled her fists forgeting her parents strict rules. The were gone, thank god. "You all right?" she asked trying to help.

Snapped out of it the girl flinched. Seeing the blood on her hands, she was amazed, she hadn't felt a thing, she still didn't understand why she didn't. "Do you have a tissue... or something?" she asked, the blood was trailing down her face. "I'm sorry, I didn't know I was actually hurting myself... I was just trying to get this thing they put on me off.... its ... been really quiet since they put it on me and I don't like it..." she said softly. She was panting a bit from the effort she had put into trying to get the damn thing off.

Kitsune smiles softly and gets a tissue and hands it to her. "Well thats not nice that they put that on you.." she said a bit worried for the girl that was older then her by atleast 2 or 3 years older then her.

"well that's what I get for being able to read peoples minds." she held the tissues to her head. The blood stopped quickly, "they said something about regulating my powers with it... and boy, its never been so freakin quiet in my entire life..." She admitted to the younger girl
A male slipped into the room, he was assigned to Kitsune, only, each orphan had their own unique person assigned to them, and this just happened to be hers. His name was Theo, and he was actually around thirteen years old, his parents both worked at the orphanage, and with no place close to go to school, he was aloud to be a chaperon to one of them. He was just as well trained as the adults, "Kitsune, I brought some snacks." He had been assigned to her right away due to the fact that she came before curfew. Nightingale's own chaperon would either come in to meet her before lights out that night, or he would meet her first thing in the morning when each came to get the orphan assigned to them. It was amazing the staff they had, one orphan to two staff members. It was it's own run society, the only person who ever had to worry about money was the owner himself, and that was because he was the one buying the food and items they needed and having them shipped to the orphanage, other then that, everything was self contained.

Kitsune noded "Thank you.." She didnt know him so she suffled her feet a bit wondering why such a young boy would be here. She never saw the staff member assighned to her so her mind left to wonder who this person was.

"My name is Theo, I'm your caretaker." he holds his hand out to her, his other hand still holding onto the snacks that he brought, he noticed the other girl as well, and was happy that he brought extra.

Kitsune bows to hi. "My name Kitsune Kichida." she stands up straigh and gives Theo a soft smile.
(My post aren't usealy long sorry I try to make them long, but sometimes I can't, sorry. sweatdrop )
