Duln ForestDominant Race(s): Wood Elves and Humans Places of Significance: Allegiance: Brettonia Population Size: 1100 Services: Merchants, Mercenaries Overview: The Duln Forest is one of the more remote places in Brettonia. The Human population here is quite small since most Brettonians prefer to live out in the plains. Most of the Humans who do live here however are mostly less than savory; the Duln Forest is infamous for bandits. There is however a small Wood Elf colony here from long ago, when the Elves ruled over these lands, but this colony is rather small with a population of only a couple hundred. Map Location/Picture:

Ikzer was having a hard time keeping his mind occupied completly now. He took out his flute and played a few notes on it. The horses seem to move faster because of it. But Ikzer would tire from playing after a bit. However as if to keep his playgful nature when he played the flute for the bit he did, tiny colorful birds flew out of it and around Tira and Vanessa tweeting happily and flying off as soon as they came. Popping in the distance like bubbles.

"That's an interesting flute you have there Ikzer." Vanessa complimented. "Did you use your illusion skills to conger those birds or was that the flute."
Atronies smirked to himself. "Really impressive." He muttered under his breath in jealous sarcasm.
Trell acted as though he didn't notice. But still impressed by Ikzer's talent with a flute.

"My illusion power but music makes it easier. I learned how to play many instruments. I play the lute as well." He patted the one that was on his back. "The flute is just easier to play on a horse. You should visit the wood elves or the high elves we have lots of preformers and the wood elves have the best music I have heard by far. My teacher was a wood elf." He smiled at the memories.

Tira was kinda quiet at the mention of her race. It had been a long time since she had met another Wood Elf, she felt that it was so long that she had forgotten what was to be a Wood Elf. To change the subject she said, "I am TIRRRRRREDdddd and hungry, can we take a break?"
Valen would prefer to just keep moving, but he knew that the nonvampires in the group needed to rest or it would help no one. "Alright, let's stop and rest for a bit. We can't do Rae any good if we are too tired to rescue her."

Ikzer wanted to go along as well he was sure he could live off his waterskin and some dried meat for a bit but the others wouldn't appreciate being put on rations like that. He supposed he couldn't leave them behind he needed thier help.

"I'll take first watch when nightfall hits." Atronies offered as he hopped off his horse. "I'm glad were taking a break. I need to get off this beast for a while."
Trell started setting out ingredients. "What would you guys like to eat? I have poultry, beef, and pork." Trell spread cuts of each in front of him that he had picked up back at the castle.
Vanessa looked to a clearing and noticed a tree with a knot on its side. "I'm going to do some target practice over in that clearing." She notified the others as she pulled out her knife to carve a target in the wood.
"OK" Said the brothers.

Ikzer shrugged at the meat,"I dont mind any of them really but pork sounds pretty good right now." Ikzer started to clean off the horses and let them graze a bit once he got them settled.

"Ok, That's one thing of pork for Ikzer. What about you guys, Dar, Tira? Oh and would any vampires like some meat or are you fine with just blood." Trell asked as he began preparing Ikzer's pork.
"Na, I'm good." Atronies replied as he took a drink out of his wine bottle.
"I'm ok also. I don't really like the flavor of meat anyway." Vanessa called out from the clearing falowed by a 'thp' (the sound of an arrow hitting the tree.)

"Poultry would be nice," Tira said. She looked to Dar who just grumbled something unintelligible, "Dar would also like Poultry."
"I will be fine," Valen said. He stared out into the vast Duln forest that surrounded them.
(Hey Jakle, I am just imagining things or did you make some hint that something was following us in an earlier post?)

((No, it was just the sent that Atronies picked up from a character that I'm going to add later, right now he's in Quenelles. I started him today.))
"Hey Trell, did you smell that back there." Atronies asked still bothered by sent he picked up.
"No, not really. Why?" Trell looked at him puzzled.
"I thought I smelled Tristan when we left Quenelles."
"But that's impossible. He should still be back home."
Atronies looked to the sky. "I know, that's why we need to be careful, just encase it was him."
Trell flipped the pork and poultry. "Almost ready guys." He notified the others.

Ikzer was tuning his lute seeming to be occupied with it until the next arrow that hit the tree there was a throwing dagger there. This time real, he was a great marksmen when it came to throwing knives. He continued to play with his lute like nothing happened. No one saw him throw it due to illusion but he gave a small smirk. Putting the newly tuned lute on his knee now and sighing as he waited for dinner.

"Hey, Ikzer, you messed up my shot. Your knife deviated my arrow to the left a bit. And don't act like it isn't yours, your sent is all over it." Vanessa said after pulling out both her arrow and Ikzer's knife from the tree. "Her's your knife back." She, also being an excellent aim with knives, through it in between his legs about an inch from his crouch.
Atronies went over and sat next to Ikzer. "Hey man, I'd be careful if I was you. One time I pissed her off and I had a strait week of arrows flying past my head at least five times a day." As he finished an arrow flew rite between him and Ikzer. "See what I mean."
"Dinner is ready, come and get it." Trell called from the fire as he pulled an arrow out of Ikzers pork. "And no more arrows fired toward camp pleas."
"Sorry Trell." Yelled Vanessa as she ran over to join the others by the fire.

"I'm sure its all healthy abuse." Ikzer rubbed his head where Rae had hit him with a chunk of ice. It was still a bit bruised. He grabbed his knife up and put it away. He took his meat with a thanks,"Besides its better when they have attitude." He gave a smirk that he covered up with the first bite of his meat.

Valen was standing by a tree watching everyone else when a gurgled "caw"-like sound came from right next to him. He looked over to see a rotting zombie crow staring at him. Around one of it's ankles was a small note. Such zombie crows had been used by his Vampiric order for long range communication, but now he was trying to put that past behind him. He swatted at the bird which fluttered away a little ways then returned.
Valen sighed, if he didn't take the note his former order would be quite angry at him. He took the small note from the crow, the crow pecked at him a little for swatting at him, then it flew off into the forest.
Valen read the note, just out of curiosity, it said, 'our time nears. Return home to prepare.' He was not quite sure what that all meant so he simply tossed the note into the fire.
