neutral It drove me nuts at first, layout on, layout off, back on, back off... Then when it stayed it was like where is everything??? question I seem to have gotten the hang of it and it seems better in some areas, so I'd have to say I like it.

Some of the places they put the links are so annoyingly hard to find.. and it's harder to get to the map.. i liked the giant button right at the top all the time
with these "quick" links.. I try to move the mouse over and they disappear.. click again.. move the mouse.. they disappear! I have to move it caaaarefully over to the side in order to click the link.. but if I move the mouse slightly too high the links change xp xp
ok thats all I have to say..
well.. that and the fact that the pages load slower... if they load at all..

Yeah I hear you Poet. These pages seem slower and it couldn't hurt to have it where you don't have to be carefull how you move the mouse. sweatdrop I'm managing some how though.

If you uninstall Flash, the pages seem to load faster.. however that's not what I want to do.
They should make it so that you can disable the flash animation at the top.

Not for nothing but I wouldn't like the idea of uninstalling the Flash and the whole thing of the top disabling flash animation... OMG headache. I'll just get assuse to it thats all.
I also agree with you Otaku. I miss the old way as well. It was simple and easy.

It appears they're trying to reduce the influence the site had on attracting youth... in the past, a great 70% were between the ages of 13-15.. about 20% were over 15.. and the last 10% were users who aren't supposed to be on the site. Now 10% isn't much out of 100%.. but that number should be far closer to 0... you can't go to the chatterbox anymore without seeing hundreds of threads saying "girls chained to [insert object here] boys come and save them" or... "kill if ugly, hug if mildly amusing, go and have sex with if shallow" ...er.. or something like that..
this isn't even a place for those at the age of 13 let alone 9! I saw someone in the welcome forum the other day that was 9.. I just shook my head. If I were a parent, I probably wouldn't let my child on this site until they were at least 15..
Well with this new layout comes difficulty to navigate.. most users under the age of 13 wont be amused and will end up leaving.. I think that's the idea

Ok I understand now. Not a bad tactical plan if you ask me. As you said if you were a parent you'd let you child on this site when they are at least 15, I agree with you there. With the 10% that shouldn't be here and how some of the posts are set up: Poet "girls chained to [insert object here] boys come and save them" or... "kill if ugly, hug if mildly amusing, go and have sex with if shallow" ...er.. or something like that.. ...and that of the GD forum being geared with questions around sex question situations of the person(s) (which I say 1/4 of them could be presented in a better manner though). I'm not saying there questions don't go against the forum rules per say, but theres stuff around Gaia that I don't feel is appropriate for most people under 15 myself.

I'd not forget about the people that just do stuff in secretcy, but yeah humanity is doomed more and more each passing day sad .
I'll pass on the stupidity thing right now. I've too much of that at present, even from the adults.

OMG...I could go on and on and on in a rant on how stupid kids *younger then ourselves* are so stupid and how so many people out there are sick and demented *take if from me who has had had 3 peeping toms* and how the world is doomed to nothing but natural disasters and how someday we will all go extinct because we take advantage of Mother Earth and such and such and such...but I wont...because I wont stop...just like I didnt mean to make this post so long but...STILL!!! evil gonk scream Oh...and honestly, they should have a thing in the registration where it tell them to put their date of birth, and filter out all who are 14 and under, I know some (alot) of them would lie, but some of them would be honest...and that would narrow it down a percent or two... sweatdrop

What they SHOULD do is filter out the users like you said, but also have a skill testing question or something that randomly changes (so that users couldnt post the answer somewhere)
Or higher 10 or 20 new moderators to run around the forums and actually booting those found under the age of 13..
