Have you heard of the new James Webb Space Telescope? I read about it in my astronomy magazine. It will launch in 2014 and then try to find the first galaxies. I can't wait!
It has a 6.5 meter mirror, which is huge! Here is a picture of it:

Holy s**t that mirror is huge I’ve heard about this telescope before but this gives me a better idea of what well be expecting. Thanks for posting this!

Maybe they could also look for some exoplanets... With this size, I bet it could detect Earth-sized exoplanets! Or maybe even Mars-sized!
Yeah, although it was designed to look back in time (trying to find the first galaxies) I read somewhere that we can expect some awesome images of some general astronomy objects too. biggrin I can't wait for the launch!
