okay, now for the topic.

I like the new layout...yes there are some interesting kinks in places, but overall I like that its cleaner and more streamlined. I dont neccessarily have to hunt for links (once I realize where they reformatted them to).

But bleh, thats what I think.

Okay, the new layout is teh sux.

It had to be said. It can be better, and if they tweak it, it'd be great...but right now as of this moment, it is teh sux.

My first reaction to the new layout: stressed
My reaction on trying to use it (and seeing how much it lagged me): scream
My latest reaction (to the ability to do without flash, stop the snow, etc.): 4laugh

Oh how I pissed and moaned, groaned and whined like a teenager who just heard "no" when the new layout appeared. Four days later I was like eh who cares? and went on with life. I can see some really good points yet miss the cutesy part of the old one. I can get around faster with this one but that means I earn less gold from moving around. I made less gold doing the Hellmas event then I did from the Helloween event. Why? All because I wasn't using the map like we use to have to do with the old layout. But now eh what the hell I like it and will b***h piss and moan like a teenager hearing "no" if they ever change it.

Someone or some people with a LOT o gold bought about 100 Cocos last night and drove the price up to 20K.

While this is good for people with Cocos, it's annoying because it's forced. It's one of the annoying bits of capitalism. Many people think capitalism means a rising tide raises all boats. BS. It just means a few people with boats ride the wave, while the rest drown.

I know it's just a silly online game, but one thing I like about Gaia is that it is the perfect example of capitalism unchecked. I like capitalism as an ideal, but any ideal taken to an extreme is insane. This is just a test environment for it, where a few rich people can suddenly screw the rest of the population.

I shouldn't really rant, I got most of my Cocos cheap and I gave some out as gifts at Christmas time for cheap so it doesn't really affect me. Just need to vent cuz it's annoying. Some 13 year-old girl who was questing forever to get one is going to see what happened and realize their quest that was almost done is now only halfway done.
