Personally this year I'm looking to push myself, I was going to pick 3 pretty much insane cosplays to do.
Here are my idea's for the cosplay groups, but they're based off my own selfish want to cosplay certain characters haha.
Cosplay idea number 1: Probably the easiest. Would be characters from WoW

That Diablo person is freaking EPIC. But that would take yearssssss! I'd love to cosplay with you, but...I know NOTHING about video games T.T The only 'video game' i play is like, Pokemon. It's sad haha Well, since you're giving us lovely video game ideas, I'll contribute some non-vid game ones xD There's always Pokemon gijinka. I've got a lovely list of them HERE. Kuroshitsuji anybody? They've got a really interested cast, and I know Ciel has a billion different outfits. The only thing is that it's very overcosplayed. But hey, it can still look amazing [: Here are some examples: Ciel (Dandy) | Ciel (Ballroom) (I have this one already) | Grell and Madame Red | Lanmao and Lau (I have a Lanmao costume too...) | Sebastian | The Undertaker (right) | The Servants (Bard, Maylene, Finny) and Tanaka | ElizabethD.Gray-man has got tons of characters. TONS. I'll just list some of the more awesome ones, in terms of character and design. Allen Walker (with Timcanpy, the yellow thing) | Lavi | Kanda | Lenalee | Millennium Earl | Krory and Elliade (the girl) | Miranda | Noah Family (Top to bottom: Skin, Tyki, Debitto, Road, Jasdero) | Jasdevi (Debitto and Jasdero merged) | Cross | Klaud | Grave of Maria (shown with Cross) | way more that I'm too lazy to find. There's also the ever popular Vocaloid. Some of them here. Luka is missing - she's here. CODE GEASS. I love this series. @K': I'm not at all familiar with that series actually eek . Is it any good, I mean what sort of anime is it (shojo, etc.) I'm interested I may check it out.
@Dreamlights: Nah the construction would be pretty basic, the dress and sleeves would be an easy find pattern at joans, the legs could be made of a strong boned base for the thighs (like wood covered in fabric and stuffing to give it shape) and then stuffing and fabric for the calve area where I could tie strings to to create that moving look. The whole back end would probably have to be constructed on a mobile platform with wheels of some kind that could be hidden by the dress length in the front. The only time consuming and challenging aspect of that costume is the hat... And all the embroidory detailing. But bah you don't have to cosplay from a videogame to cosplay with me!! While I do have a tendancy to prefer game titles over anime, I would gladly and easily put videogame cosplays aside in order to cosplay with the group.
Haha I already have a misty cosplay and a drocell cosplay. (btw how could you forgot drocell QQ gonk ) But oo I like sandslah and pidgeot along with, nidoqueen, nidoking, venonat, Poliwrath, tentacruel, slowpoke, dodou, dewgong, muk, lickitung, weezing, rhydon, Mr mime, Lapras, Kabutops, zapdos, moltres, dragonair, bayleaf, meganium, Typhlosion, Cleffa, togepi, Flaaffy, Bellossom, Sudowoodo, Wobbuffet, and a whole heck of a lot more.
That would be something to cosplay as maybe a signature of pika lmao, pokemon cosplays.
O o oooohh and I always wanted to cosplay CC in her straightjacket esq outfit. Or Empress Tianzi from code geass! Blha! There are just to many good things to cosplay out there.

Shaman King is Shojo, I liked I it was about 63 episodes 2 the whole thing. It is sorta like Soul Eater, but there partners are spirits and the spirits "posses" the persons body and the person gains all of there skills like fighting, etc. Or the spirits can take over a weapon,glove etc.
It is weird this is the first time I have heard some1 that they have never heard of it.

I like the Pokemon gijinka idea. In fact, I'm already working on a Teddiursa gijinka. Ha.
Anyway, I know it's way overdone, but I'm dying to do a Kingdom Hearts group cosplay. But I was thinking that instead of just the regular versions of the characters, do different holiday versions of them.
For example, Halloweentown Sora, Christmastown Riku, Eastertown Roxas, etc.
That way, if two people wanted to be the same character, they could just do a different holiday.

I have an Absol (Ginjika) cosplay. But I think it is 2 plain its basically white jeans and a sweater with the horn and tail. So I am going 2 change it I want 2 add white fur and use a vest or something instead of the sweater. But when I wear it I like saying Tail Whip until the tail broke and the horn ripped a bit.

@m00: That's another great idea! I always wanted to do a kairi cosplay since I have the hair for her and face, but I just hated her normal outfits, their too overdone. But if she was in a holiday outfit.. That would be awesome!
I say the Pokemon Gijunka idea should be put up on the ballot for member voting though without a doubt.

Especially because there are so many to choose from xDD
I have a half complete Honne Dell cosplay, Haku Yowane's brother :'D
Miranda Lotte from D.Gray Man has been on my 'Do someday' list for a while o3o
Suggestions:
the .hack series also has a lot of great characters.
I've been addicted to hunter x hunter (I wanna do Kurapica @o@ ) so I'm just throwing that out there.
Since someone suggested KH, I'll suggest Final Fantasy which is only about a hundred characters to choose from with awesome costumes :'D

@Pleurer: Yeah, I've always wanted to do a Sora cosplay, but his normal KH2 outfit is so overdone you can't throw a rock at a convention without hitting one.
That's why I want to do the Christmastown version of him.
@Zillar: Ooh. Final Fantasy is a good idea. Cause if you can't think of a character you want to do, you could always look back at FF: Tactics and choose one of those races/professions.
Also, maybe just a Square Enix group. That opens up all kinds of options.
