Out in the deep dark forest there was only a faint sound. Was it crickets? No. Was it the wind blowing over the leaves? No. It was a girl, a girl softly running down the beaten path of dirt and stone. She was running as fast as she could, her eyes bloodshot and watering, streams of tears drawing over her face as she kept moving. Her lips trembling as her breathing suffered. It is generally not advised to be running and crying at once, but she couldn't help it. If she stopped crying, she would feel that she's lost her humanity and if she kept running she might be tempted to look back. What was there to look back at anymore? Her pace slowed slightly as she pressed against a tree trying to catch her breath between her spastic sobs.
It hurt, her whole physical being trembling from malnutrition. How long had she been running? She couldn't remember, but all she could remember was simply that she must keep moving and not look back. She didn't even remember completely and wholly what she was running from. Was she running from her past? -sort of. Was she fleeing a physical abuser? -her bruises and ribs would say so, but it very well could be just from her stumbling as she ran. Why? Why must she keep on running and not look back. The pained goddess peered back down the path she had arrived from. It was dark and unwelcoming, but when she turned to the other side, it seemed to be no better.
Just keep running and don't look back, keep moving and you wont get slack. Keep moving, keep running, don't question just go.
