Also, I've never even seen a box of .35 Remington, anywhere. One of the great things about .30-30 is that it's common and comparatively cheap. For example, I saw a box of .300 Winchester Magnum at Academy for $40! And another for $50!

The .35REM thumps too much for the energy it delivers. .30-30 is better and easier to find.
