It was a gorgeous day outside, considering the time of year, and as much as the girl loved her violin, there were many other things she would rather be doing than tuning it for practice. But she kept her discontent to herself, the quiet student was not one to shirk responsibility. Still, she thought as her eyes strayed wistfully to the sunlit window, there weren't many days like this in winter. Eliza had considered the possibility of taking her practice outdoors but knowing herself, she knew it would be half-hearted and distracted playing. Plus gloves would be difficult to manoeuvre a bow with. Probably.
Thus she settled for standing by the window of the music room, enjoying the mild breeze that drifted through its slightly open frame. Her mind strayed for a moment, lulled by the fresh air and chattering of birds before she shook her head, scrunching up her nose. “No, must practice! The sooner I get it done, the sooner I can go,” she muttered softly to herself. If only there was something to keep her attention, something to make things more interesting… She just couldn’t seem to focus!

She had spent enough time outside for a while, now trying her best to focus on making her life as normal as possible. The best way to go about that, she'd figured, was to throw herself back into her studies; throw all thoughts of freedom away and concentrate on something important, something distracting.
What better way to distract herself than through music?
Snatching up her folder she'd made her way down to the music hall, searching for an empty practice room only to pause for a moment when she caught sight of another student. She leaned against the doorway for a moment before reaching up to knock lightly on the door frame. "It can be kind of boring down here sometimes... Way too quiet, right?"
