 • Rules • • I am putting the rules in paragraph form, yes, I will be changing these to check up in them ever now and then.
• This roleplay is literate, that means at least one paragraph (Eight sentances) Per post. I understand that we all get writers block, but not every other post. I also understand that typos are a sad part of reality, but do not have them all the time. I have typos too! Believe it or not, so don't fret if you have a few. Do not talk "L!KE D!Z". I hate that and if I see it you will be booted from this Rp. Why, you may ask. I AM GOD.
• The theme of this roleplay is based off of the books, if you haven't read the books then I will post a little summary somewhere below these rules. It does take place in the 1800's so that means no cars, cell phones, computers, flashlights. Nada. You ride on horses or in carriages, you talk by sending letters, you see in the dark using a candle or a lantern. Get it. Got it. Good.
• I will only have 2 characters from the book in play, and the will be Gemma Doyle and Kartik. Only because I think they should end up together instead of him dying. And, Gemma will still have the powers as usual, but..Ah nevermind. I will have everything explained in the plot of the story.
• To reserve a profile spot, title your PM "I do not yet have the magic" To send in an already made profile, title your PM "The magic is within me." I will be very strict on these rules, if you do not follow this guideline I reserve the right to decline your profile without reason. So make sure you pay attention and do as your told.
• You can only kill off someone if they are ok with it. I do not want any godmodding either. I know it sucks. This is godmodding "I threw a punch at him, hitting his nose and breaking it. Blood went everywhere." That will not be accepted and you will get three warnings before your booted. This is a right way to do it "I pulled my fist back, sending it towards his face, wanting to cause as much impact as possible." There, it gives the person room to respond to the attack. And don't be invincible, you will get hit a few times.
• Have fun! I love for people in my roleplays to have fun and be in the loop. If ya'll have any questions don't hesitate to let me know. I'd be glad to help ya.

• Plot Debrief • ••• A Great and Terrible Beauty •••
Gemma Doyle is not your average young lady of her time. Living in the 19th century in London, England, girls are expected to remember their station. Gemma is quite the opposite and spends her time sneeking around at night and stealing the pastor's wine at her all female bording school.
Gemma is sent to boarding school when her mother dies while she is living in India. When Gemma moves to London she notices a man she once met in India following her. When Gemma starts getting strange visions, she is warned by the mysterious man to ignore them. Gemma does for a while, until her curiosity gets the better of her. She is taken to another world when she has her visions. In her visions, she can talk to her dead mother.
Soon enough though, things turn dangerous and results in one of Gemma's close friends dying. Gemma is forced to stop visiting the realms and has to figure out how to fix things and make the mysterious man she fancies forgive her.
••• Rebel Angels •••
Gemma isn't like ordinary girls. She doesn't think about husbands, attending balls and teas, or anything like that. She is too busy thinking about her mysterious, and somewhat frightening, visions. Three girls in white appear, and she follows them. She tries to make sense of these visions, but they get more and more confusing.
She is also too busy thinking about the oh-so-cute boy, Simon Middleton. Yet Kartik, the mysterious boy from India, enters her thoughts also. She is also trying to help her father with his drinking problem. After the death of his wife, Gemma's mother, he hasn't been his usual self.
On top of all that, Gemma has an even bigger task. She has to bind the magic of the realms. This is important so the evil priestess, Circe, doesn't gain this power. If Circe has the power of the realms, the realms would be in deep trouble. She and her friends enter the realms trying to find a temple. This is where Gemma can bind the magic. They encounter many species who live in the realms, but are not quite sure whether they can trust these races or not. They trust a Gorgon, who takes them around the realms. They also trust Miss Moore, an art teacher who was kind to the three girls
••• The Sweet Far Thing •••
It has been a year of change since Gemma Doyle arrived at the foreboding Spence Academy. Her mother murdered, her father a laudanum addict, Gemma has relied on an unsuspected strength and has discovered an ability to travel to an enchanted world called the realms, where dark magic runs wild. Despite certain peril, Gemma has bound the magic to herself and forged unlikely new alliances. Now, as Gemma approaches her London debut, the time has come to test these bonds.
The Order - the mysterious group her mother was once part of - is grappling for control of the realms, as is the Rakshana. Spence's burned East Wing is being rebuilt, but why now? Gemma and her friends see Pippa, but she is not the same. And their friendship faces its gravest trial as Gemma must decide once and for all what role she is meant for

••• Now We Make Our Own Story •••
Ok, so pretty much we will be going off of the plot summaries above. Except we will not have the other characters such as Felicity, Pippa, Ann, Simon, Tom, Gemma's Father. So on and so forth.
We will begin our story at the all girl boarding school Spence Academy. The girls that are in the roleplay all have different powers, nothing like X-ray or something. But they can all access the realms and whatnot. The boys however, are not townsfolk. They are considered Gypsies/Rakshana and live in the forest. The girls are forbidden to see the boys but they go against all the rules as they fall in love. But there is trouble amiss the realms and Circe has returned to seek her revenge on the girls for usuing their magic in the realms. YES! Gemma has to fall in love with Kartik, end of story. But I encourage you all to make your own characters, enjoy, be creative.

The boys are supposed to protect the girls, and they are resiliant at first but eventually fall for the guys.
Girl 1 goes with Guy 1 and so on.
Gemma and Kartik ARE NOT the only important characters, everyone is important and the story will revolve around everyone.
Once we do begin the girls will star off on their 'recess' where they leave the academy and walk around outside on the school grounds. They are forbidden to be seen with the Rakshana (Gypsies) so they have to sneak off late at night to see them. ONLY ONCE THEY HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE.
Everything is starting on a new slate, Gemma and kartik know nothing of one another. Good.
