It was a warm day for winter. Maybe spring was going to come earlier. It would be very helpful when gathering ingredients for her dyes if the weather did warm up. Element sighed as she walked threw the woods. During the winter it was so hard to find good colors and plants to paint with. She loved the wonder of what nature could come up with to inspire her with new tattoo or painting ideas. but winter often took the fun out of her favorite thing to do. But today it was really warm and she knew that there was sure to be some small buds and new growth starting. So into the woods this brightly painted sub star went.

Eve kneeled in the dew-laden grass. It was a little chilly, but much better than the previous days. The substar thrived in warmer climates, so she welcomed springtime with open arms. She picked a small pink flower and pinched a hole in its stem with her nails. Then the ivy-wearing girl strung another pink flower through the hole, and thus she started her flower chain. She smiled to herself, as flowers were something she simply enjoyed being around. After linking a few more flowers, she held them to her nose and smelled their light fragrance. She concentrated on the smell, letting all her other senses dissipate. So she did not hear the footsteps of another substar.

When Element got in a zone she was often clueless to things around her. She was not the most observant substar around. So when she saw what looking like a person shaped group of interesting colored moss, vines, and flowers she focused mainly on the color. It was so pretty and already her mind was racing with ideas to paint using the colors and patterns she could see.
carefully she made her way over to the moving group of plants and she reached out to, what she did not know at the time, Eve's back and tries to pluck the vines off of her.

Eve felt serene and tranquil. She had not a worry in the world, until a sharp pain erupted from her back. She yelped in pain and whipped around to find the cause. It was a rather..brightly colored substar. Still holding the chain of flowers, Eve backed up and tilted her head at the girl. Why on earth would she pull on her vines? They were connected to her body, after all, and that was no way to get someone's attention. It's like tugging on a cat's tail. She blinked, but said nothing, waiting for an explanation.

Element gasped at the scream and dropped the vine she way trying to pull free. "Oh my gosh i am sorry! I thought that you..." she laughed softly, "I thought that you were a plant. And your color is so pretty that I was going to make a very nice dye with it. I did not know it was attached to you." she smiled warmly and gave a nod of her head, "My name is Element what is your name? Oh and don't worry I will not try to pull another vine from you. I hope I did not hurt you!" She seemed to really mean what she said.

Eve smiled and rubbed her back. She laughed now, listening to the substar's words. Truly it was an honest mistake. She did often resemble foliage and could be easily mistaken for one. Standing up, she replied, "My name is Eve, it's a pleasure to meet you! It didn't hurt that bad, mostly the shock of it." Then she bent and picked one more flower, added it to the chain, and tied it off. "May I ask what the dyes are for?" she said, though looking at Element, she had a pretty good guess.

Element smiled and nods. Proudly she held out her arm, "I like to make tattoos and paintings. So I use the dies for both. I can even do non permeant tattoos, they only last for a few months. But it is really fun and since the weather is so nice today I thought I would gather some more plants for the dies so I wont run out when spring and summer come along." She was glad that she had not hurt the other star. "I see that you also really like plants." she said softly pointing to the flower chain.

Eve was genuinely intrigued by Element's hobby. All Eve did was grow flowers in her grove, or pick them and make chains like the one she held now. Smiling, she handed the pink flower chain to Element, a gift for a newly found friend.
"I love plants," she said, looking around her and gently holding on to one of her vines. "I sing to them and they sing back. They are like family to me. Animals are also my friends." she said, smiling. Then she giggled, "Though I do not mind that you create dyes from them, they live on upon your skin, able to see the world as you see it, instead of being stationary all their lives."

A small wave of worry crept over Element's face as she place the necklace around her neck and listened to Eve say she was friends with plants. "Oh well I am glad you do not mind me using them in my dyes. I am sorry if I hurt your plant friends. But if you would like I would love to paint a flower or two upon you. It will not be permeant so don't worry it won't hurt at all. Then you can show your friends around threw your own dyed pattern."
She smiled at the other girl and knelt down next to her. It must be nice to feel so connected to something. Eve was a very interesting little star. "If you want I can show you how to make some dye if you would like to try some."
