[[Rules]]
These are the basic rules of the guild. Please try to follow them to the best of your ability.
01. Follow Gaia's Terms of Service. This means any content posted cannot exceed PG-13. And no, don't even suggest 'taking to the PMs.' That is still considered cybering. No graphic descriptions of romance or violence in general are allowed in this guild or on Gaia Online.
02. Common decency is always appreciated. Treat your fellow Gaians with respect, and please be mindful of what you say. If asked to stop on a touchy subject, please have the courtesy to do so.
03. On a follow up to the previous rule. Cussing is not a reportable offense on Gaia. So, if bad language really doesn't suit you, please use the filters provided for you in your account settings. This does not give members the excuse to use the f word every other sentence, but you will not be penalized for it either. Just keep that in mind.
04. Don't stretch pages with needlessly large text, spacing between paragraphs, or pictures. Pictures should not exceed 500x500 pixels, and text sizing if you are talking normally should stay at 12 or under. Also, coloring of any text should be easily legible. Do not use very light or very bright colors that may be hard for people's eyes to focus on. And please, oh pretty please- no rainbow text.
05. Follow the organizational setup of the guild. You can find the rules on the main forum, or look at a basic outlining by subforum in the Organization Thread. While the crew will move your thread if you make a mistake, please don't try our patience.
06. If you have a problem with another member, don't foul up the threads with your huge arguments. Simply PM a crew member and we will help you resolve the issue. On a side note, flaming, or hateful abusive comments about others, is not allowed. See rule #2.
07. Crew members have the right to delete, edit, or move any content within the guild without warning. If you feel something of yours was edited/ moved/ deleted wrongly, you may PM the Captain or a Vice-Captain and we'll see if we can undo the damage.
08. Literacy. If you're not roleplaying here in the guild, we don't ask for fancy-pants prettiness in your writing. However, we do want to be able to read and understand your posts so that we may properly respond to you. So, seeing as people 12 and up should be on Gaia, grammar and spelling rules of an 7th/8th grader should apply to anything you post. So, use capitalized 'I's, 'you' instead of 'u', etc. etc.
09. Posting your own threads. Go ahead. As it belongs in that subforum, accurately explains what the thread is about, and follows the rules of that subforum, have a blast. **Roleplays have different rules when it comes to creation, see the rules in the roleplaying subforum**
10. No spamming! As in, no posting random nonsense or repeating the same thing over and over. You want to do that, Gaia has provided the nonsensical Chatterbox for you.
11. On the subject of inactivity, because the new remove button has been added, we no longer ban users because of inactivity. Instead, we just remove you entirely from the guild if you have not posted in more than three months without giving notice to a crew member. If you want to rejoin at a later date you may, but if you're not willing to be active we don't need you taking up space on our member list.
12. There are always more rules to be added. So be sure to check back every couple of weeks or so. Ignorance isn't always bliss.
If you have any questions, simply post them in this thread. We'll try to answer as quickly and effectively as possible.
