I'd try plastic resin.

Create the molding first, (tutorial on mold making: http://www.microer.com/molding.htm ) to make the shape needed to create the mold, take a large cardboard sheet, and cut it to the shape of the weapon. To add depth and dimension to the cardboard, use cheap stuffing found at the nearest joanns store, and simply put the amount of thickness you want on top of the cardboard. Then evenly using duck tape, create a smooth surface, if needed to as a finishing touch, sandwhich the cardboard, stuffing and tape, with additional pieces of cardboard sheets that give the exact dimensions and look to the sword (this may mean angling the sheets or adding additional one's on the side's judging on the thickness) Apply a sealing agent.

Then similar to this video;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWUre5qPhKI

fill the molding you finally made with the plastic resin, and then simply wait. Once it's casted, paint the detailing that's needed, and voila! you have an epic weapon for your Kazuki cosplay.

thanxs 4 the help. LOL I don't know where 2 get the liquid plastic. But it looks like if I did do that it would look awesome. But what do u think about fiber-glass? I have never made a weapon or such but ppl I ask tell me 2 use fiber-glass or papermiche. But I don't know how 2 work with fiber-glass because I don't even know what it looks like (even though my dad said he would help me) and I don't think a papermiche 1 is going 2 look as awesome.

Any neighborhood Home Depo or Lowe's will carry that stuff.

Well Fiber Glass and Papermiche work fine too. However I've always found Fiber glass difficult to work with; It's not very forgiving to those who don't know how to use it perfectly.. As for Papermiche, I personally have never tried using it, just because of the many end result props i've seen using that material looking horrid.

But experiment before you commit to one form of prop making. Maybe buy a small supply of each and try making smaller similar versions of the sword with each different material. Once you've finished each (painting and detailing also to see how easy each material is to paint on and mold) compare, see which material ends up looking the best, and then just do the exact same thing on a larger scale.

Not sure how to go about making a bomb
for my Four Swords Link cosplay.
I want it to be about...half the size of a soccor ball?
Have any ideas?
Or know here I could get a wooden sphere that size?

Yeah, I was going to do the styrofoam base with sculpy, but then I realized that wouldn't be safe to cook in the oven xDD
The best one I've seen was styrofoam ball covered in bondo and sanded down, but bondo is hella expensive o.x
Plaster would work o:
Paper mache too.
Thanks c:
