Gaia Name: misswho Character Name: Kaiden Le Gweynidth Race: faerie/hunter Age: 449 History: The knight of the unseelie (winter) court, his duty has always been to obey his Queen, no matter the cost to him. The Queen is cunning and cruel, and as such has ordered him to leave court and become a hunter, killing both the enemies of the fae and his own kin without choice. Powers: As a high ranking, winter court fae he has control over cold, water, air and darkness. He can perform glamours on himself and others that allow him to create illusions. It covers a tunic of deep purple, grey trousers and grey riding boots. On occasion he will be seen wearing his helmet, as angular as his face it is shaped like the head of a polar bear, leaving his mouth and chin exposed and made of the same metal as his armour.

Artemis peered down onto the streets of New York. She had a mission, but where was "it". There. There he was, crossing the street as if he hadn't a care in the world. He was strolling quietly along with a girl by his side. Foolish mortal. She had no idea want was in stored for her, as they entered the hotel. Artemis jumped off the building she was preached on and unfurled her wings and soared through the sky. Later, when the sun went down, Artemis set her plan into motion. She walked through the lobby, despite the protest from the front desk worker. "Excuse me Madam, put you can not just walk in here." The worker said placing a hand on Artemis's shoulder. Big mistake. Artemis swirled around and stared into his eyes. The worker stumbled back at the sight of her purple eyes. Artemis focused and suddenly the worker fell down, grasping his throat. As the bystanders rushed forward to help, Artemis continued to walk along.

The ride up on the elevator was rather boring considering the elevator music was Staying Alive. Finally, Artemis reached the top level. She quietly strolled along through the halls, being careful to avoid contact with other people. Number 1 rule in a mission, get in, get out, never leave behind anything that can tie you down. Finally, Artemis reached Room 1234. Artemis reached into her messenger bag , that had been swinging silently by her side. She reached in a pulled out a silver rod. Slowly the rod stretched out and became a scythe. She lightly tapped the point of the blade on the lock. The lock popped open and Artemis pushed through. She found them lying in bed, half-naked. Artemis once again reached into her bag and pulled out a silver gun. She pointed the gun to his chest, just as his eyelids fluttered open.

"Just what do you think you are doing?" snarled the werewolf. He silently moved out of the bed, carful not to wake the girl. "Who are you and can you please put away that cursed gun of yours." The werewolf said, stepping closer to Artemis as he slowly pushed the gun away. "Haven't your parnets tell you guns are dangerous. Artemis remain silent as the wolf quietly smirked to himself. "I know what you are. You're a Hunter. Well the organization must be getting pretty sloppy. For your infomation I haven't committed a single crime since I was turned." "Oh I know that." Artemis lied, speaking for the first time. The wolf's eyes widen at the sound of her angelic voice. "I know you haven't done anything but, that girl has." Artemis nodded towards the still sleeping girl. "She has told an outsider about our existence. She can not be allowed to live." Artemis said, without a hint of emontion in her voice. The wolf eyes widen even more. "No, you can't. Please, I will do anything. Just please don't kill her." Artemis smiled a wicked grin. "Fine then. Come with me and the girl lives." Artemis guided the wolf onto the roof where the rain was falling. The rain fell down her cheek, causing the illusion that she was crying. Artemis pulled out the silver gun again and aimed it directly to his heart. "I know you planned the assination of the President. And you have to buy for that." Artemis said with coldness in her eyes. "Wait!" Screamed the wolf. Before I die, tell me one thing. What are you?" Artemis smiled and repiled "An angel", then she pulled the trigger.

Kaiden watched silently, his large black eyes focused on the angel. They shared their trade (as much as the winter knight resented it), but he had never spoken to her. The rain, making soft chime-like notes against his silver armour reminded him of his home. "An angel indeed..." he muttered to himself, slowly rising from his crouching position on the nearby rooftop. His long white hair hung close to his body; soaking from the rain, yet the very tips still moved and danced in the breeze. As the droplet ran down his face they froze, falling as ice to the floor and leaving glittering trails of frost across his skin. With a powerful jump of his legs he launched himself off the edge of the building, falling down into the darkness for a second before rising up in a gliding motion. Contrary to popular belief not all fae needed wings to fly. Despite the weight of his silver armour and the sword strapped to his back he used the air magic he posessed to stop himself from falling. Wary of who else could be watching he performed a glamour on himself to make him invisible, and landed lightly on the hotel roof. He circled the girl, one hand hovering above his sword incase he found himself in need of it. "Was he guilty?" he asked simply, still wearing his glamour so the stranger could not tell where his voice came from.

Artemis quickly shoved the gun into her bag and started to walk towards the dead werewolf. She crouched down next to the corpse. Since he had died, his disguise had fallen away, leaving behind his true form. Artemis sighed. Now that "it" was dead she would have to dispose of the body. The bad thing about killing creatures with actual lives, was that people that they knew would start asking questions. Where was he? Where had he gone? Blah, blah, blah. She took out her scythe and tapped the body. "Let this body be transported to its rightful place. Let it be moved to a place where none will fine it. Let his existence be wiped from this planet. Let him return to Hell." Artemis murmured. The body began to glow, causing a strong white light, then the body was gone. Artemis took up her scythe and placed it to the place where the body use to be. She then set about working the spell to erase the memories of him from everyone. She put in false memories, making some sad and painful, while others nice and cheerful. Artemis finished up just when the sun began to rise. Artemis stood up and faced the rising sun. The warmth felt so good, like a cleanser that would wipe away the weight of the sins she had just committed. The sunlight gave her back the power she had just used. Fully recharged she turned around to pick up her scythe but, then she froze. "Who's there?" Artemis called gripping her weapon. Dammit. If someone had seen her, she would must likely get in trouble. She thought furiously. But she couldn't see anyone, as she peered around.

He'd watched the Angel clean the body and the area, getting the feeling it was just as much about her personal feeling as it was to prevent questions. At her questioning he laughed, the sound echoing around the empty roof, sounding deep with a hint of cruelty to it. "My my, that is a silly question! If the 'who' wanted to be seen at a particular 'there' surely they'd make sure they were seen?" he replied, talking in riddles as most fae tended to do. Since they could not tell outright lies it was their way of bending the truth or avoiding questions. As the sun rose the knight found himself weakening, he could still keep up his glamour as it was a simple thing, but his direct influence faltered slightly. Had he not been hidden the soft glow that surrounded him would fade away, giving him an unhealthy appearance, almost corpse like in the harsh light of the sun. "I will ask again, was he Guilty?" he pressed, stressing the final word with a subtle hiss. As he spoke he moved several strides closer, now close enough to let the very tips of his silvery white hair to brush her coat.

Artemis shuddered at the sound of the invisible voice. She focused all her magic on locating the source. There! A ghost like figure with long white hair was walking towards her. She felt his presence as he stood in front of her, his hair touching her precious coat. She stepped back a few steps and raised Apollo, her scythe, and pointed it towards the last place she had seen him. "It is not your concern of what a Hunter does. So I would like it very much if you make yourself visible and come forward. A Hunter's work is very secretive you see. From the way you talk you must be a fae. Will I will answer your question. He indeed was guilty for trying to kill the werewolf leader and the Human President. But I knew just by looking at him, he would be tough. If I were to fight him, he would have caused a lot of damage, which I would have to clean up. Along with that a lot of paperwork and I absolutely hate paper work. I observed that he was deeply in love with a girl. So I thought if I threatened the girl, he would offer his own life in exchange. Of course I was right, so now he is died. Satisfied?" Artemis said smiling now, her purple eyes twinkling.

He laughed again, booming this time and full of mockery. "Ah for you see, it does concern me. I have been ordered to become a Hunter, exactly like yourself," as he spoke he slowly began to make himself known to her, starting with his boots and gradually moving up as he continued to talk. "I am merely trying to find out what we kill for. You say he is guilty for planning to kill this werewolf leader and the President of this, human world," his voice growing bitter as he almost spat the races name. "However, I am making a plan of how to kill you right now. Does that make me guilty? Or simply clever not to under-estimate you in you chose to attack me? Where do you draw the line?" As he came into full view of her he smirked cruelly, his ice blue lips drawn back to show his gleaming teeth, on any other animal it might have been called a snarl. "Who are you to say who should live and who should die? Teach me. Explain to me. I ask a third, and final time...Was He Guilty?" he hissed, taking several more quick steps towards her, looming over her as his impressive height far outmatched her own.

Artemis stopped smiling and turned her face to stone. Her halo stopped glowing and turned black. She looked up at the stranger and said with coldness in her voice. "I can see you don't like humans and I can understand that. Humans have destroyed this beautiful earth that my ancestors labored over to make. You may be right. He may have not committed those crimes. But that is not my problem. I was ordered to end his life. Since you're new, I'll break it down for you. The leader of the Hunters and his offspring decide if the Targets are guilty or innocent. Hunters are not allowed to have opinions in this matter. But if you want my opinion, the yes, I believe he was guilty. I honestly don't care about him trying to kill the Human President. I care more about him trying to kill the Werewolf leader. No, better yet, his own father! Yes, his father. His father may have abused him, he may have done horrible things, but he is still his father. It is against the Magical Law to kill ones parents. So yes once again, he was guilty. We offered for him to go to jail for a maximum of 50 years but no, he was an idiot and decided to run. The penalty then became death." Artemis said. "Now you made one huge mistake when you threatened to kill me." Artemis continued. "Mistake #1, you challenged me. You must have realized I am a fallen angel. But apparently you don't know my name. My name is Artemis via la Earth. Future Queen to the Heavens, if I choose. I may have be cased out but I am still the only suitable angel to bear Prince Jacob la via Heaven's children. If you were able to kill me you will be tracked down and killed by the Royal Guard. You must also know I posse the abilities to heal and give life, along with the powers to bring pain and death. I am invincible. So here is the deal you report to the Hunters Agency today at 4:00 p.m. and we talk about what to do with you. Or if you choose not to I will personal put a reward on your head. Which will it be." Artemis said, her eyes flashing with danger.

The winter faerie stopped his advancement. The sudden coldness she showed him was delicious, and he smirked as she spoke to him. "So, you are bound by others? I see...I understand what it is to serve anothers will," he replied, tone calmer. Even so, it was impossible to tell if he was being condescending or honestly sincere. As she continued, clearly growing angry with him again his full beaming grin returned. Starting to circle her slowly he replied prompty, "Ah see, your mistaken again. I never threatened to kill you, merely mentioned that I was formulating a plan to in case of emergency. Really little one I'd learn to listen more closely," making a lot of sense (for a fae at any rate) he continued, "As for Who you are, it makes little difference to me. What your future holds means nothing to me, as it has yet to affect you. Besides, the babes you produce has little to do with me-" he paused here to sniff, as if the very idea was offensive. "As for your 'Royal Guard' I am also the guard of nobility, to precise I am the leader of the guard. If they did need to kill me I have no doubt we'd face each other as equals. Not as hunter and prey as you suggest," he finished. Completing his circle of her he stopped and dropped down onto one knee, adding a brief bow of his head that only seemed to add to his mockery of her. "I am Kaiden, Knight of the Unseelie Court, and chosen champion of Winter, it is a pleasure to meet you, your Highness," behind his pearly white teeth a blackish blue tongue flicked out and wetted his icy blue lips. "I am bound by my Queen to join the Hunters, so I suppose it will be the first scenario we shall be following," he added in a dry tone, sounded rather different compared to the rest of his speech. If anything he sounded bored as he repeated his orders.

Artemis smirked. "So you are the Kaiden they told me about. Your "queen" contacted us and told us of your arrival, but you sure have kept us waiting. We expected you to arrive last week. You should learn never to keep your host waiting." Artemis said, plainly, Apollo slowly started to shrink back, but not completely. Artemis never really trusted faes. "Please keep in mind. I may be younger then you. But, I still have a higher ranking Hunter and Court wise. I deserve so respect. I have also been assigned to help you until, I deem you worthy to work alone." Artemis said, remembering how he had just mocked her. "Come to the highest floor of that building." Artemis continued, pointing to the Empire State Building. "We will continue discussing this there." Saying that Artemis turn and jumped of the roof, weapon in hand, and began to fly into the sunrise.

Kaiden was taken aback briefly, unaware that Mab had told anyone of his move into the ranks of the Hunter's. In all honestly he'd expected her to just leave him to it to struggle on his own in the world of iron and steel. "Very well m'lady. I look forward to it," he replied simply, watching her fly into the sun. Bringing up a gloved hand to shade his eyes he marked the building she was heading towards before leaving via the stairs. The now rising sun drained his powers to the point where he'd rather not try and fly if he had an option. Instead he cast a glamour on himself to look as human as possible as he moved through the hotel to it's front entrance. His eyes, though still black had the usual area of white surrounding them, and his armour looked like a simple grey business suit. Reaching a man with a motorbike he handed him a leather wallet, filled to the brim with gold in the shape of £100 bills. "Give me the bike, and keep the change," he muttered with a smile, the bikes old owner walking away in blissful glee. Naturally Kai wouldn't tell him that faerie gold would disappear once the sun set. Taking a deep breath he jumped onto the bike and swerved through traffic towards the tall building, trying not to gag at the metallic taste around him. The only reason the bike didn't kill him was due to the gloves and armour that he wore. Maintaining his glamour he made his way up to the top of the Empire state, stopping halfway to grab himself some sweet human food. After all he didn't want to look too eager for his new 'Hunter Queen' as he'd mentally dubbed her. Eating strawberry icecream from a tub he climed the last few steps to the top floor, letting his glamour fall away again. It was highly probable that the angel had reached the floor first, considering her speed and his quick icecream stop.
((Yes he likes icecream, but he is from winter and who doesn't love strawberry? hehe xD))
