The Order and the Skeleton crew

For thousands of years the world has been blind to the dangers that lurk in the darkness, the very creatures of nightmares of which could make the strongest of men cower in fear. Though the majority of the world knows nothing of the fearsome beasts and ghouls, a single group knows much and is in an ever growing war against such creatures, the group known only as the Order. Within the group are a bunch of misfits from various backgrounds who someway or another have encountered the things that go bump in the night and by some cruel twist of fate have survived, among these people the skeleton crew is the premier team of specialists who are called upon for their expertise in dealing with all forms of dark monsters.

The Creatures

The beasts that dwell in the darkness have existed among men ever since the beginning and have preyed upon humans from the shadows, feasting upon their flesh and blood for sustainance all the while keeping themselves out of the public eye and only occupying the deepest reaches of their minds as beings of myth and legend.

Vampires: The most resilient of all creatures, vampires have hidden themselves with relative ease and have adjusted to the changing times with little to no difficulty. Vampires look completely human save for their slightly anemic appearance and unatural eye colors, forcing them to wear contacts. Vampires typical characteristics such as fangs and claws only show when either feeding or fighting, when not in such situations they exhibit enhanced speed, strength, and have an active regeneration system yet it is not as effective or quick as lycans. Vampires are weakened by sunlight and can be killed by beheading or blessed bullets, blades or bullets dipped in dead mans blood can effectively incapacitate a vampire but will wear off in a matter of hours and is slow to take effect.

Lycans: The second of the great races, Lycans otherwise known as werewolves have lived among humans and eat their flesh. Lycans look human in all aspects except for their golden iris' which forces them to wear contacts. Lycans are capable of transforming into half man half wolf monsters complete with razor sharp teeth and claws, full body fur, and enhanced speed, strength, quick regeneration and sense of smell(lycans can regenerate lost limbs in a day while vampires take weeks to regenerate lost limbs.) Lycans are weakened by mercury and can be incapacitated by weapons such as bullets made from mercury(mercury has the same effect on lycans that dead mans blood has on vampires.) Lycans can only be killed by weapons made by silver and must have their brain destroyed and heart removed, otherwise their body will regenerate itself.

Demons: while demons have been proven to exist, many people don't know much about them. what has been proven is that they can take human form, they are very strong, they are slower than the other two races yet they have exhibited the ability to grow wings and fly, a trait that the other races don't have. Contrary to popular belief, demons do not control elements or any other forms of magical abilities but there have been occasions where a demon has breathed fire. While all demons are evil beings in birth, many have proven that not all are chained to their cursed fate and can live normal lives and actually do good. Demons can be incapactated by special charms and certain spells but it takes holy items and decapitation or piercing of the heart to kill one.
