Being a teenager is hard. Everybody will admit that. Mood swings, body changes, sexuality…it all makes your life seem just that much worse, when combined with high school issues and the fact that the entire world seems to be out to get you. Which, it really isn’t.
Unless, you’re not completely normal.
In the state of New York, there is a school. The Xavier Institute for Gifted Children.
It is here that our story takes place.

The Xavier Institute for Gifted Children is not what it seems. To the outside world, it is a highly ranked school that teaches and boards only the worlds’ finest scholarly minds.
To the inside, it is the one place they can be safe.
To those who know, gifted doesn’t mean intelligent. It means ‘mutant’. Homo Superior, if you’re into Latin.
Super-evolved beings with powers beyond human comprehension, beyond human acceptance. With powers beyond their control.
The Xavier Institute is where they are accepted. The Xavier Institute is where they learn how to use their powers.
These are their adventures.

- All of the characters are teenagers, except for Xavier. Jean is dead, just because I’m too lazy to explain away the Pheonix statue. and she died one month ago, in an accident that shocked everyone into gaining a bit of a more serious outlook on learning how to use their powers.
- If you are going to play a Canon character, despite the fact that they are now a teenager, PLEASE try to make and play them Canon. If you don’t, I will delete you.
- For the sake of the roleplay, however, the pasts of certain characters have been ‘frankensteined’ to make them believable. Let go of what you think you know about X-Men before reading them, people, or they will beat your mind into the fetal position.
- First come, first serve for character selection.
- You should know the usual rules. If I have to say them to you, you don’t belong here.
- No Bigotry. Go away.
- Original characters ARE allowed, but be creative. Don’t repeat powers, and don’t GodMod. Have fun with it.
- I don’t care if you use Anime pictures, or Real pictures. I just want a picture in there, people.

Rachel was just roaming around the grounds, not knowing what to do. She would even considder being happy if someone said class was starting. No that would be silly, she doesn't like school and she never will even if it's a school for freaks or as everyone else says 'mutants'. Mutant is just another word fro freak and that is what every single person running around here is, a freak. including her, if she wasn't she wouldn't be able to turn into anything she could think of, even inanimate objects though not for long since she stil needs to breathe and a lamp with a nose is just weird and it would stand out. Animals are the easiest to shift in to, it had always been like that and Rachel has no idea why. Maybe because the first thing she changed in to was a cougar, a cougar that tried eating her own brother! Rachel shook her head, trying to force the memory out of her head, nothing actually happened then! Still she would never be able to forgive herself for doing this even though her own brother and the target at that time had already forgiven her a long time ago. It was hard to even not think about it for just a single day. Every night she has nightmares about her killing innocent people and not being able to do anything about it. if it were to happen in real life Rachel would be able to do something ofcourse except when she's angry. When a strong emotion takes over so does the cougar in her. it's the form she automatically shifts in to and when overwhelmed like this there is almost no stopping her. Only one person really can and that is her brother Jacob.
Rachel sighed and started biting her lower lip, she wondered where Jacob was. He probably didn't want to be seen around his twin sister all the time even though he loves her to death, but don't tell that to his mates! Not that they don't know that yet, Jacob is just obsessed with not looking like a wuss and he really doesn't. He doesn't look that tough either but everybody knows what he can do and he does it well, his illusions are almost perfect and they can scare the hell out of people sometimes, that's how real they look. He's a good fighter too, he doesn't just hide in his powers like Rachel does, he can use his own hands and feet to fight while Rachel changes in to something that has claws or horns to fight with.
"Aaaarg..." Rachel let out a angry and at the same time desperate sounding noise and right after letting herself go like that she hoped that nobody had actually heard her. She shook her head again, she needed to get these thoughts out of her head! She needed to find Jacob, now...
