Guidelines
First: I cannot stress this enough, for the sake of our guild and all that is Gaia. Please be well aware of and have read, the ToS of Gaia. Our forum rules are no different, and in fact may be a bit more strict!
Second: Please mark all topics/threads properly! For prose, please write PROSE in caps, followed by colon, followed by the name of your work. Please include in brackets 'critique' if you wish for a critique. All other threads/topics should be self-explanatory. I will read all prose to the best of my ability and put an age rating on your work.
Third: The theme on this forum is to use proper spelling and grammar at all times. Unless there is something in your style of writing that defies certain laws of grammar, we should respect the language of English and the art that is writing; we do so by not only learning, but utilizing proper spelling and grammar.
Fourth: Please use the 'Enter' or 'Return' key on your keyboard. tl;dr's are not acceptable responses to any OPs on this forum, best way to avoid them, however, is to avoid giant walls of text.
Fifth: While another theme on this forum and in this community is a bit of brutal honesty, here on the writers' side of the pond, we know that writers have something of an ego and pride about their work. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it all. I would also like to add, if you don't have anything constructive to say, then I suppose say something nice. But, constructive criticism is encouraged.
Sixth: It must be reiterated that one of the central themes of this particular guild is honesty. Please, do not get upset just because another writer/reader has critiqued your work in poor favor. Try to look past the negativity in their statements and open your eyes to new possibilities with your writing. This will help a great deal in the future of your writing career. I will personally keep a close eye on this subforum to insure optimum critiques and reception to such.
