((To the *almighty* mods: I asked permission to start this thread. So don't kill me. Please. If you feel like there's something wrong with whatever I'm doing, you can delete this topic.)) Hello, fellow Hetalians~ (FFF sorry, I had to use that term somewhere)
As you all may or may not know, there is an upcoming animated Hetalia movie this summer. For those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about, visit the article here. For those of you that do know about it, yes. Old news is old, I know.
But anyways, I decided to take the liberty of making a discussion thread. Mainly because I couldn't find the opportunity to bring it up in the other threads, so...yeah. (I honestly hate to start new topics. buh.)So far, the only thing we've got is a release date. No characters. No plot. Just a release date. Pathetic, I know. But look on the brightside--you get to mark your calendars! o3o
Release date: June 5th, 2010 according to this website.
Instructions: If you can't understand Japanese, it'd probably be a good idea to read this, unless you want to look for it on your own. Scroll down until you find a turquoise title bar. Look under it for a title that says 劇場版 ヘタリア Axis Powers.Alright. So, seeing that the plot is currently unknown...what do you think the movie will be about, and what do you want the movie to be about?

It sounds nice. A full lenth movie! Though, compared to the show 30 minutes is a movie... stare

I wants the movie to be, like, a full-lenght version of the Valentine extra. XD That'd be so awesome and sweet! 4laugh
Either that or all the characters go on a trip in the mountains. (can you imagine the craziness? O.o)

And yes, I agree with you on that whole thirty-minute movie thing. xD
@Hong Kong: Yesss~ The Valentine extra! I remember reading that. It'd be awesome to see it animated.
Everyone? On a trip to the mountains? The idea reminds me of one of those 'High School Class Trip' movies. Like, half the group would get lost and the other half would tell each other ghost stories by a campfire or something. xD

When I told my friend this, her comment about wheter or not it was going to be ten minutes or an ACTUAL movie! This sounds so amazing! Also, lucky li'l %#$& That makes an awesome present!

@Ambrose Leto: That's really clever~ Las Vegas is twice as exciting as a mountain trip...considering the casinos, the entertainment, and all the other things that could happen there. ;D
@Miss Macabre: I'm really hoping for an actual, hour-and-a-half long movie. xD I would hate it if they rip us off and give us five extra minutes of footage and call it a movie.
And yeshh, be jealous. >;D

I'd like to see maybe a serious plot, since Hetalia lends itself so well to that (with some screwball comedy in it too of course!) and to have the longer strips like Lithuania's Outsourcing Series get animated in the next season.

I have a small feeling that the movie might revolve around the Christmas strips, that would be so awesome.

I don't think they are going to do the Christmas Series. The anime is much more toned down then the webcomics. There is too much stripping in that one for the anime unfortunately (though it would be funny as hell).
I know how you feel Liet about the Outscourcing series. i would love to see an anime version of that as well!
I think the movie would focus on the main chapters instead of the side plots. If you watch the anime, they mostly deal with the side stories. The movie would probably be used to catch up on the main events, 'cause a lot happened that hasn't been shown.

Since we have SOME clue on the plot from Episode 53, it seems as though it will be original and *gasp* somewhat serious.
