I found a pattern for the "2009" Afghan. You make a square each month and then sew it all together in December (or as you go).
I started the January square last night and I'm just about half way done.
I'd love to post pictures and talk about it with other members who are doing the same project.
It would be an awesome project for someone who isn't very comfortable with different knitting stitches! (like me.. xD) because you're basically making practice swatches and turning them into a blanket ^_^
I'll be posting the monthly pattern each month.
What do you say? mrgreen

yes i agree. we do need more guild projects. feel free to add more if anyone comes across them. i will not mind them at all. I myself am busy with college, so i am not posting as much, but i do come back and see how things are going. keep up the good work guys!

Hmm, can I be put down as a "maybe" or a "she will try but makes no guarantees"? A square a month is easily doable, but I have a lot of projects on my plate and also possess a not-as-good-as-it-used-to-be memory.

I don't think I'll be able to join. Junior level electrical engineering classes plus the shawl I want to start for myself and finish before the semester ends means I won't have the time for something on this scale, even if it's only a square a month. Plus, seaming is my enemy. I still have a granny square block collection I crocheted years ago to finish seaming (only 3 squares of 15-18 are connected right now, I think). Hope you all have fun with this. I can't wait to see the pictures.
