Damn ... I have to choose ... my tope faves are Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua ...
Anderson "The Spider" Silva: His muay thai is probably the most beautiful yet violent thing I have ever seen ... he is extremely technical ... and an incredible fighter ... but above it all he is humble ...
Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida: He took a stlye that many people thought would never really adapt well in mixed martial arts ... and dominate people ... again he is very humble ... and has brought some old school traditions to this new age sport ...
Mauricio "Shogun" Rua: Another great muay thai fighter ... very well rounded ... and probably should be the UFC light heavyweight champion ... but regardless ... his muay thai is violent ...

Randy "The Natural" Couture: What's not to like about Couture. He is the poster boy of upsets (Belfort, Rizzo, Liddel, Ortiz, Sylvia). He is a bad a** and he is 46. He is an inspirtation to old folk everywhere. And above it all he is humble and kind.

Bit out of left field, but I've always had a healthy respect for Jason "Mayhem" Miller. He has an extremely (overly?) positive attitude about... well, pretty much everything, and I like the underlying idea of his show Bully Beatdown (MTV and MTV2) in which the martial arts are used to help those who cannot really help themselves against people who are, quite frankly, the worst kind of people.

I meet Mayhem at the weigh-ins for the Strikeforce: Evolution card ... and you hit it right on the head ... he is overly positive (not saying that is a bad thing) ... he had a congested throat (my guess he was kind of sick the week before) ... and he had an interveiw ... and I remember him saying something like "Damn I got an interview, oh well, I just say this is my husky voice." Not only was it hilarious ... but it was humble ... he was also there to help promote and anti-bully campaign in San Jose ... Mayhem, though he can be extremely whacky ... is probably one of the best human beings out there ... he cares, but he'll have fun with it ...

Shinya "The Baka Survivor" Aoki 23 - 4 - 0 1 NC
He is probably the best ground fighter in the world. One of the first go go plata performed successfully in MMA competition. The first to use the Del La Riva guard in MMA competition. WAMMA lightweight champion. DREAM lightweight champion. ADCC Champion. His list of accolades go on. Sure he had some controversy with the Dynamite!!! 2009 fight, but going into it, I would have done the same thing.
