I was looking around recently, and I came to a conclusion. There is an unacceptable amount of scene kids in my area, and ZERO Cybers, Rivets or ravers. Z-E-R-O. 0. Nil, Zip, null. I wasn't overly shocked, though dismayed. I wish More people around here would stop conforming to media standards, and just be themselves. Because I know many of them would get along with people they don't talk to, and never talk to the ones they think they like.

These no EBM/Industrial scene in my area. Theres a few wannabe rivetheads, and like two cybers but for the most part the scene is dead in my area. On the other hand I'm working on and EBM band, Neoteric Empire, I have a lot of work to do before things are completely up and running. But I'm hoping that will help bring out a little more rivet/cyber people in my area. Its not that I don't think people in my area aren't into it, I just think they don't know it exists. neutral

I know some people can be stupid. Theres not much Industrial around today though, it mostly died out in the 80's. Most of whats considered Industrial today is actually Post-Industrial, like the genres EBM, Aggrotech, Coldwave, Futurepop, etc. Those are all Post-Industrial genres, the only real thriving Industrial today are Noise and Powernoise, not to say there isn't other kinds going on, those are just the two most populated Industrial genres as it seems. So its not too surprising not a lot of people know it exists, its stayed a pretty underground genre ever since it started, and I like it better that way, as do many people. Though, I wouldn't mind if it got a LITTLE more publicity.

I live in San Francisco... we don't get a whole lot of rivets or cyberkids, but we do get a lot of cyber influence in our raver's styles... Not a lot of true cyberpunk, but it's nice to see that at least the influence is there
