Hokay, so, this is the first set of forum-specific rules being written.

Now, some of you may ask why this forum is heavily patrolled. You probably don't know what's in here, then.

The Catacombs is the place for any and all so-called "dark" work that is taking place. Any discussions surrounding vampirism, necromancy, curses and the like are for here.

Curses are a very real part of magic and psionics; vampires exist - just not as the sparkly or ultraviolet-light-allergic kind; communing with the dead is not unheard of. It's a part of our ongoing education, and in itself is not evil. None of it is. Curses have their place, as do vampires. Understanding these things is crucial to surviving in the magical world.

However, these topics must be learned while maintaining a sense of morality.

Mostly, this space is set aside for that 'cause those topics can make some people a tad uneasy. So, they don't need to ever come in here.

Now, some of you are probably thinking "Why should I care about what they think?" You don't, not really. But I do, since they're in my guild.

The Topics Here:
1: Vampirism
Yes, I know this'll cause an argument about it not being 'dark'. The fact is, there was nowhere else it fitted. Some of the finer points require... a certain outlook on vampires, and members of the guild at large might not have that.

2: Curses
Both the creation and destruction of. Keep it theoretical, please.

3: Necromancy
Communing with the dead goes here. This kind of thing is guaranteed to make many, many people feel iffy.

Any other topics, feel free to post them where you think they go. If I or one of my faithful crew don't agree, they'll shift it.

Without further ado, the rules of posting.
1: Approach any thread here with an open mind.
Things are not always what they seem.

2: Politeness is a virtue.
Someone may have posted something that you disagree with. A method, a target, whatever. You're free to tell them that. You're free to tell them that they creep you out. But do it politely.

3: Remember the world has laws.

4: The crew's word is final.
If I or one of my crew think a thread is taking a running leap off the slippery slope and we say 'rein it in', you do so.

5: You are free to break any of these rules, but do it somewhere else.
I am very protective. If you want to break these rules, do it where I can't see you.
