To increase user activity and potential new member interest, why don't we hold more contests? Maybe hold them monthly or bimonthly?
Some ideas:
*Screenshot contest
- Limited entries, say... 5... or something (Just look at the screenshots thread XD)
- One of your characters would have to be visible to make sure it was you who took the screenie.
- The screenshots could range from silly, to pure awesome, to beautiful and even just simply glitches.
*Movie maker contest
- Also have the entries limited
- Again they could range from funny, to you playing the best you can on whatever instrument, super serious, how you defeated that boss with your awesome skills, whatever you think is good enough to win the contest
*Helpfulness Award
- Must have proof of you contributions to quests and other missions and whatnot. (It is at the discretion of the contest judges to screen what they deem "valid" proof.)
- Helping anyone in any way
*Most improved during the month
- Screenshots are necessary (1 at the beginning, 1 at the end. Late entries not permitted for obvious reasons)
*Best dressed
- Screenshot of your character, members will vote. ... self-explanatory.
*Best dream character
- Same as "Best dressed"
*Artwork contest
- I'm weary to post this because then it rules out some of the members who feel they cannot draw and as such, will not participate, but it will be suggested so I might as well mention it.
- Drawing (or comic) of either your character (reference required), NPC(s), or storyline scenario (reference not required for the latter two)
Aaaannd... that's all I have so far. Now for more contest suggestions, comments, criticism, anything. Shoot. wink Also, if you like the contest idea, how frequently should we have one?
Points to note:
-+- I'm more than willing to supply some (or most depending on what is needed) of the prizes. Be it items or gold. -+-
-+- Lots of guilds have Guild mules. I do not believe we do. I'll gladly make one (Because I'm a vice captain) but it would probably be best for Periot Cloud to make one himself. Guild mules are a really good idea, and it'll help for contests and stuff (Please tell me if we already have one xd )-+-
