Okay, you know Alex in SH: Homecoming. His last name is Shepard.
Mary from SH2's maiden name was Shepard.
Could there be a connection? Cause it's all too possible with the history of Silent Hill and the fact that several characters from the different games are related, so, what do you guys think?

I'll respond to this with simplistic code terms:
ERROR:NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION TO COMPUTE
But seriously, I believe there is a chance, but there's not enough info to research and make any possible theories from. (trust me, ive looked)
They wouldn't have been cousins, just from the timeline you can tell that. Perhaps Mary could have been an aunt, or a great aunt. But in all honesty, there isn't enough info.

Similar things with the Sunderlands in SH2 and SH4. Not enough information(?) to make a connection. But there could be.

iLisa Garland Similar things with the Sunderlands in SH2 and SH4. Not enough information(?) to make a connection. But there could be. Well there is a lot more information to make a connection with the Sunderland case. Look in the Walter Sullivan history section to see a lot of connections making it possible to having James and Frank connected as father and son. based on events and timeline.

If you examine the painting above Henry's bed, he says the Super of South Ashfield Heights gave him the painting, the. Goes on to say that the super told him his son and daughter in law disappeared in Silent Hill. As for the Shepherd reference, The Wiki stated there was no connection. Never know though, it'd be a nice thing to think about.

Wishful Starlight Wow I didn't realize the posts were from forever ago! I'm bringing this back xD Haha well we always appreciate a resurrected topic! Especially one as interesting as this... See the whole ordeal with James and the Super was one of those moments where at the time, I thought nothing of it... Then one day I played SH2 and realized the last names were the same, and when I really focused on what that picture said, like you said, I was just mind blown surprised I honestly cannot believe the amount of thought that goes into making those games... I mean, seriously, it's not even like they threw the James and Super connection in there just as fan fodder, it was like seamlessly woven into everything....

I know, that's why I absolutely love them. The story goes so far back that it's literally mind blowing. I mean Team Silent created the religion, the backstory, the characters and their stories/connections/relations. It's so amazing!

Yup yup, and I can only imagine to have felt what they felt while making all of their amazing game entries, because we here in the silent hill guild once wrote almost an entire story, characters, and monsters in our attempt to write a game design for Konami. But it couldn't have been anything close to what they felt... After all, what we built here was only on the bedrock of what they laid for us whereas they started from ground zero and went up from there.
