Reiko Setsuna
Marei is sitting in a small clearing eating at some berries she found. She was puzzling over some new feelings she had started having since the recent growing. Most of them concerned her best friend Vaedi. She was confused. She still wanted to be friends with him...but...it seemed like she also wanted more.

Heavenly Snow
Vaedi bounded around the forest with a carefree easses type joy that he still had being a young experience less adult. A familiar scent suddenly entered his nose and he turned to look in that direction only to see his childhood friend Marei and he came to a halt. He looked around and then quietly began to stalk her.

Reiko Setsuna
Marei was too absorbed in her own toughts of Vaedi to realize that he was near. She thought the scent that was being carried on the wind was merely her imagination at work.

Heavenly Snow
Vaedi lowered his large body into a prowl with belly low to the ground. His wings laid flat against his body as he stalked closer and closer to the unsuspecting Marei. Suddenly his pace quickened and he pounce on her like a cat. "WARK!"

Reiko Setsuna
"WAAARRRKKK!" Marei jumped over a foot in the air, likely knocking Vaedi off her back. "What did you do that for?!" she nearly yelled as she whirled to face him.

Heavenly Snow
He stood there wide eyed but amused at the same time. "Well...it's not my fault you decided to be an airhead and leave yourself wide open like that."

Reiko Setsuna
Marei was never so grateful that a blush on her couldn't be seen as she was at that moment. But as the word 'airhead' sank in her eyes darkened in anger. "Airhead?! Is that what you think I am?! It just so happens that I was thinking about how different certain things seem since we grew up. Or at least I grew up!" She turned to leave quite upset...almost to the point of tears...and yet she didn't understand why she felt that way.

Heavenly Snow
Vaedi blinked in surprise. She never got upset at him before. He tilted his head to the side and chuffled. "You've never been mad at me before when I joked around or tackled you. Why are you acting so weird Marei," he called to her using her childhood nickname.

Reiko Setsuna
Marei sniffled a little. "To be honest...I'm not even sure. But...doesn't it feel like some things have changed since we grew up? Don't you have any new feelings?"

Heavenly Snow
He blinked and just stared at her. "Feelings? What am I suppose to have feelings about Marei?" He seemed genuinely confused about what was going on.

Reiko Setsuna
Marei gave a soft sigh. *Perhaps it is just me...maybe there is something wrong with me...* She thought to herself a bit sadly. *And maybe spending some time playing around and just hanging out with Vaedi will help me figure things out* "Don't worry about it Vaedi. Maybe things are different for each one of us when we grow up." She walked back to him and rubbed her cheek against his beak. "I'm sorry for getting upset. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. Do you still want to play?"

Heavenly Snow
Vaedi seemed a bit taken aback at her outward affection and strange behavior that he just stared at her gawking.

Reiko Setsuna
Marei stared back again glad that a blush could not be seen on her. "Something on my beak?" She asked playfully before nudging Vaedi with a wing and taking off. "Tag! Your it!" She called over her shoulder.

Reiko Setsuna
It had been several moons since Marei had seen Vaedi and she was afraid that her behavior at their last meeting had scared him away. So in an attempt to not let herself become depressed she had taken to wondering the forest. She rested now in a small clearing wondering when or if she would see Vaedi again.
