Alex wandered the forest. He hadn't exactly been avoiding Bella since the fight with Ramses...but things seemed a bit strained between them. He had to admit that he might have over reacted a bit...but...he really liked Bella. "It would be nice to be able to talk to her though..." he muttered. He'd only seen the female once or twice since that day.
Heavenly Snow
Bella was laying down in the sunlight on a patch of lush grass. Her rounded belly proclaimed her pregnancy. She started to preen on her feathers. Lately she really didn't do much else besides eating, sleeping, preening, and lounging around.

Alex had finally worked up the courage to wander over to the area that Bella and Gypsie and the others lived in when they weren't out in the clearing. He spied Bella laying in the sun and slowly made his way over to her. "Hello Bella." He looked her over and realized why she hadn't been out in the clearing much lately--she was heavily pregnant. He had forgotten about her deal with Lock. "How are you?" he softly asked.

Bella paused in her preening of a couple stubborn neck feathers. Her head whipped around to look at Alex. She hadn't seen anyone else in this territory other than Lily because it was clan owned lands. "Oh...hello Alex....doing well I guess..." she watched him for a moment. "I'm guessing Checotah let you come over here to talk to me."

"If I said no would you get him to run me off?" he asked with a slight grin as he reaches over to preen the feathers that were not cooperating for her.

"No, because knowing him he already knows your here and if it bothered him would have chased you off long before you got to me." She sighed since he managed to get the two annoying feathers.

Alex chuckled a little. "I hear Sphinx had a near run in with him for coming too close...so...yeah. He probably does know I'm here." He preens a couple more feathers on her neck and rubs it a bit with his beak before laying next to her. "How soon are you due to lay those eggs?" He had lost track of how long it had been since the breeding.

Bella clicked her beak at hearing the newcomer to Alex's flurd getting in the way of Checotah. "That probably wasn't pretty....Checotah is huge..." She watched him layed down in the grass with her. "I have no idea....it seems like forever."

"I bet it does" he muttered softly. He clicked his beak in nervous agigtation...something had been on his mind to ask Bella for awhile...but things had been pretty crazy lately.

Bella nibbled at the grass and then preened a couple more feathers. She glanced at him and then lifted her head. "You ok?"

Alex gave a small sigh. He just needed to come out with it. "After you lay these eggs...your agreement with Lockhart is done, right?"

She eyed him for a moment. "Yes.....I don't even socialize with him..."

Alex looked at her. "Then...would you consider...being my lifemate? I mean I know after the whole thing with Ramses you might not want too...I was kinda out of line there...but..." he trailed off, attempting to keep himself from rambling anymore then he already had.
Heavenly Snow
Bella raised her head to look at him. "Lifemate? Your asking me to be your lifemate? Oh....Alex that would be great. Don't worry about the whole Ramses thing...You males do what you do...."

Alex blinked a couple times, actually a bit shocked that Bella had agreed so quickly. Once it sank in he kneeled next to her and extended a wing over her. "Thank you Bella." he said softly before beginning to preen her feathers again.
