PearlyUnicorn
Koryu had been missing for some time...the snows had melted, and fallen again. A week passed, and then more. His shrub was empty, and none of the places he hunted showed signs of having been killed in recently.

The black Hippogriff was, simply, missing.

darksithya
Sesshomaru had noticed Koryu's abcense, and with each passing day, it seemed to trouble him more. His strolls in the forest, had become less and less, and had taken to lurking under the maples he haunted as a easse, so he could watch the others, without having to limp all over the place. He had also grown more iritable, and snaped more easily, over smaller things, it seemed that without Koryu, he just felt on edge. Unshure if he should look for him, or stay put, incase he should return.

PearlyUnicorn
Time passed, and still another week went past with no sign of Koryu. Long days dawned unseasonably warm, long dull and boring. Other griffs milled about or hunted as best they could, and not many moved from where they lay. Snow was a memory writ in mud or slush, and ice floated free on far shores, quickly diminished.

...that day, all was stillness and buzzing flies...

Until a slim Mystic approached Sesshomaru in the shade of the tree and soundlessly handed him a vlack feather of the particular sheen that could only be Koryu's.

darksithya
Sesshomaru stared at the feather, and then the mystic. He knew what this ment, sickening thoughts of Koryu hurt, and dying somewhere raced through his thoughts. He studyed the feather a moment longer, and then he noticed, that the feather carried the sent of plague. His heart skiped a beat, as he turned to the mystic. "Did he go to the old city?" he asked seriously, his amber eyes, masking worry behind their usual cold icey stare, but the worry was there all the same.

PearlyUnicorn
The elf nodded solemnly, and spoke, his voice pitched low. Only Sesshomaru would hear.

"His egg was among the first to hatch untainted, and it was among the last we brought with us, from the city, when we left. He has out magics, and our trust, and his was the duty to enter the city, and find those still living that were left behind."

The elf turned away with no further words and moved away for several heartbeats.

"He is alive still. We know not for how long he will last, or if he can be healed. He cries out for you. Come to the circle, if you wish."

darksithya
Sesshomaru was tence, but he followed the elf silently, his mind rushing with images of Koryu slowly dying. Tho his difient and rebelious side refused to belive Koryu could possibley die, and leave him.

PearlyUnicorn
The elf did not look back at Sessshomary again until they had made the long walk to the Mystic's Enclave, there he turned and gestured to a small stone shelter, built into the ground, much like a cave.

Another Mystic stood at it's mouth, leaning in, as if fascinated by what lay within. A low, hoarse moan echoes softly from within, and another Mystic approached to watch, leaning around the first, intrigued. the shelter appeared to be lit from within by a dull blue light.

darksithya
Sesshomaru slowly entered, it took his eyes a moment to ajust, but even once they had, he was not shure what he was seeing. "Koryu?" He asked, his voice low and soft, as he took another step closer.

PearlyUnicorn
Slowly the dim light adjusted Sesshomaru's eyes to the scene. The shelter was a small one, vaguely round in shape, and all of stone, with shelves and flat holes that might have been beds carved directly into the living rock of the walls. Currently, the floor was covered in a padding of long grasses and pin boughs, to make a bed for the groaning occupant.

...and there, he was, laying limp and flat, one wing flopped exhaustedly loose across the floor, and the other bound tightly to his side with bandages that at one seemed too tight and too few. Koryu thrashed weakly, as if in pain, as the elf holding his head moved away to allow Sesshomaru nearer. As the while hippogriff approached it became shockingly clear that his last foray into the city had not left Koryu unchanged. His horns had gone, simply gone, and whether they had fallen off or lost their place in some other fashion it was not clear. The black hippogriff's eyes were tightly shut, but hearing his beloved approach, Koryu lifted his head and turned it blindly towards to so-soft sound of Sesshomaru's hoofsteps, struggling to open pale, filmed-over, rheumy and blind eyes to see what he so desperately wanted to see.

"Se-....'Shomaru?" Koryu whispered, harsh and painfully, his voice a broken ruin, head wobbling vaguely, as if it were too heavy for him to keep up.

darksithya
Sesshomaru moved closer to Koryu. He had never seen a griff that looked as he did, or looked to be in such suffering. He gently gave Koryu's neck a reashuring nuzzle he was there.
"Dont move Koryu. I'm here now." He whispered softly.

PearlyUnicorn
Blind and needy, Koryu did his best to press into Sesshomaru as soon as he knew by touch where he was. "S'shomaru, S'shomaru..." he whispered again and again, like a mantra, though his tone was rough and weak.

The elf that had been holding his head spoke softly from her place at the wall. "He came in...perhaps two weeks ago. He was already blind, and struck his wing upon the stones as he landed, blind. His horns..."

At that, Koryu cawed painfully, and pressed his head more firmly against Sesshomaru's neck like a child seeking asylum. No male hippogriff would enjoy thinking of lost horns, and not a few might have been driven mad by the loss. The young Mystic took the hint and fell silent for a moment before continuing.

"The plague will kill him," She told Sesshomaru, her voice as ice-calm and uncaring as his ever was. "Or it will not. It is difficult to say."

darksithya
"He's not dying." Sesshomaru replied to the elf, his voice strong and defiant, as he wraped a wing gently over Koryu, so as not to hurt his ingered wing, returning the nuzzle.
"I wont let you die." He whispered, so only Koryu would hear him.

PearlyUnicorn
As soon as he felt Sesshomaru's wing, Koryu's head fell, weak as a lamb, unable to bear it up any longer.

"S'Shomaru," He slurred, trying to blink eyes crusted with plaguey discharge. "Sss....s-sorry...I...sorry..."

The Mystic watched openly, intently, and the watchers at the entrance had become four rather than two. they were all as silent as the grave...it was possible that with his eyesight gone, Koryu simply thought them alone. He had no way of knowing without sound or touch that anyone but Sesshomaru was nearby.

darksithya
Sesshomaru shot all the watchers looks, but other then that, ignored them. "Its ok. You've done no wrong..." Sesshonaru reasured, as he set to work preening Koryu, in atempts to both calm him, and remove some of the grime the plague had left, and dried blood, that was all over his feathers.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu whimpered and sighed, flopping gently against Sesshomaru and he relaxed under the preening. some of the pained trembling seemed to go out of his breathing, and as he relaxed more fully it became apparent that he'd not eaten in at least a week...he was so thin a weight against Sesshomaru's side, and once puffed and displaced feathers had been smoothed down to their rightful places, he was exceedingly thin.

"Love...you..." Koryu sighed haltingly, using each exhalation to speak rather than go through the labor of a breath specifically for speaking with. "...hurts to...be alone..."

darksithya
Sesshomaru could hardly believe what had happened to Koryu in such a short time, it pained him to see him like that, but most of all the thought that he could have saved him had he gone after him sooner pained him the most.
"I wont ever leave you...not agein" Sesshomaru replied, his neck protectivly over Koryu's, tho carful not to put any weight on him.
He glanced over to the nearest elf, and with a cold glare, that would make even a king do his biding, he ordered the elves. "Get him food and drink." He said calmly, tho his glare proved this order was not to be disobayed.

PearlyUnicorn
"This we have done before," the Mystic calmly informed him. "He can eat, but what he eats will not stay eaten."

Koryu flinched weakly away from the elf's voice when she spoke - he had forgotten about her, distracted by his own pain and Sesshomaru's presence. He remembered the savory chunks of haunch that had been brought before him at regular intervals previously...he remembered and his stomach roared at him. All the same, the black hippogriff could feel the bile rise at remembering what had happened after his sickness-sharpened hunger had satisfied itself...bringing more sickness and a great mess.

Still, he was so hungry.

darksithya
Sesshomaru pondered this for a moment.
"I have heard of herbs to help keep food down, could we not try and find something like that?" He asked, wondering what the best course of action for this was.

PearlyUnicorn
The elf shook her head, but removed herself from the stone shelter without further comment, presumably going for the food and herbs.

"S'sshomaru?" Koryu whispered softly, his head pillowed on Sesshomaru's foreleg, just before the elbow-joint. "You...a-alright?"

darksithya
Sesshomaru watches the elf leave, still unshure he fully trusted the elves. After the elf left, he turned back to koryu. "I'm fine, as long as I know you're alive."

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu make a soft sound of agreement, and sluggishly shifted his head closer to Sesshomaru's body, wanting to feel the warmth of the other's neck-ruff spilling over his beak, wanting the closeness, to know by the movements of Sesshomaru's neck against his feathers which way his Beloved was facing. Koryu wanted...

He wanted to be able to see again.

"I...blind...can't see..." He whispered miserably. "N...no horns...useless...ugly...s-sorry..."

Just then the Elf returned, bearing a thick haunch in both hands, she seemed not to notice the weight, though the leg was clearly from an animal at least as large as the largest Hippogriff, one of the herd-beasts of the Elves. It was raw, fresh enough to still be hot with blood, and still on the bone, as any Hippogriff might prefer. Koryu drooled, both in hunger and nausea.

darksithya

"You're not ugly, or usless. Thats Phinna talking, and you have no reason to be sorry." Sesshomaru's voice was strong, but reashuring at the same time, wishing he had a way to cure it all, and take Koryu back home, happy and heathly. But then went he elf reapeared, he had expected to see small chunks of meat, such as fish, and lamb, with berried, but he could only gape at the elf. "And you call you're self healers, and mystics?!" Sesshomaru roared at the elf, thinking this the sorta thing a easse might do.

PearlyUnicorn
The Elf, startled, dropped the haunch, and flung herself back against the wall of the shelter. The meat hit the ground, right in front of the pair, and Koryu flinched at Sesshomaru's angry tone, pressing himself against the other's chest with the smallest of whimpers.

Her composure broken, the young Mystic stared at Sesshomaru in open fear, while the other watchers fled like crows from a kill.

darksithya
Sesshomaru glared at the elf. "Its a wonder he hasnt starved! You cant feed him large amounts of meat, he needs softer foods, in smaller bites!" Sesshomaru hissed, his voice laced with poison, and his glare throwing far worse then daggers.
He took the haunch, and started shreding it in to smaller peices,, that would be easy for Koryu's stomach to handle.
"Get some berries, I want him eating small amounts of those every hour, and some meat once every 5 hours." Sesshomaru ordered, wen he was done shreding the meat, in to small enuff peices.
"Koryu, you need to eat small bites, I know you're hungry, but eating small bites, very slowly will keep down." Sesshomaru it seemed to have mastered the fine art of one second being a ferice griff, ready to kill anything that annoyed him, and the next, being calm, and comforting as they come.

PearlyUnicorn
The elf nodded several times, fast and tersely, and turning fled Sesshomaru's presence to find more suitable fare for Koryu's delicate stomach.

Koryu roused slowly, relaxing a bit from his tense pressing against Sesshomaru.

"...I am hungry," he agreed plaintively. "Smells....so good..."

Slowly, tentatively, he shifted his head a little closer to the food, eager for it, but unwilling to put forth the effort to lift his head, and loath to lose the intimate contact that was the touch his beak on Sesshomaru's foreleg.

darksithya
Once the elf was gone, Sessomaru turned back to Koryu, and gently picking up some of the meat, he lowered it back to Koryu, as gently as Mystia would would feed a new born. Sesshomaru had never been on for siting around, and taking care of the sick, but anything short of all the 'griff banding together to drag him away, would pull him apart from koryu right now.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu lifted his beak, ever so slightly, and took the bit of food daintily from Sesshomaru's beak, swallowing it whole, as Hippogriffs usually did. He waited a moment, as if waiting to feel sick, the smiled, the first smile he'd had since Sesshomaru had come to him, and opened his mouth like a baby bird for more.

darksithya
Sesshomaru had a soft smile as he noticed Koryu's, and obediantly, offered more meat to Koryu.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu ate and ate more, as much as Sesshomaru would let him. At some point, the elf returned, deposited a basket fo berries and another containing a rather large fish and fled without a word.

Koryu hardly noticed.

When he could eat no more - or When Sesshomaru stopped him, it was hard to tell - Koryu collapsed, crop ful and stomach heavy and warm with sustenance. Weakely, he lolled on the ground, wanting vaguely to curl up next to Sesshomaru a bit closer, but too tired to understand how he'd do such a thing. Koryu's eyes closed, and if Sesshomaru said anything, Koryu did not hear it.

When he opened his eyes it was morning.

darksithya
The next morning Sesshomaru was no where to be found, at some point earlier that morning he had left the cave, the spot where he had been beside Koryu was still warm, but no clues had left as to where he might have gone.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu stretched and sighed, reaching with his good wingtip, beak and claws to see what he could of the place he was in. Wingtip touched close walls and low cieling, but his other groping limbs could find nothing but aromatic grass and pine in each direction, the walls too far out of reach.

With difficulty, he decided to try and stand, to find Sesshomaru, but carrying out his plan proved problematic. koryu strained to stand, and for one shining breath he though he'd make it to his feet before collapsing again in an undignified heap. Koryu's wing complained, and he bit back a whimper of pain, curling back up into the place that smelled of Sesshomaru to wait. He wasn't going anywhere soon. He couldn't even see to know which way the door was, or stand and walk there, if he did.

darksithya
"Koryu!" Sesshomaru hurried over to Koryu's side a moment later, aparently having heard the sound of him falling to the ground. Sesshomaru looked him over, to make shure nothing had been crushed.
"I told you not to walk around." Sesshomaru sighed, just thankful koryu was ok. "I brought some water, so we can try and atleast clean up you're eyes." Sesshomaru looked back to the bucket of water, with a sponge floating in it, he hadleft at the interance.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu nodded, tuning his head blind and inaccurately towards Sesshomaru with eyes glued shut by disgusting crusts.

"Water?" He whispered hoarsely, his voice sounding as raw as the previous night...apparantly the plague's airborne miasma had burned his throat as well as his eyes. "Thirsty, too...I would like...my eyes to not be so....so burning."

Tired out by his earlier efforts, Koryu could only life his head and lie there, and though his neck trembled with the strain if he did so for too long, even this small movement was a large improvement.

darksithya
Sesshomaru brought over the bucket, dividing it in to a bucket from the other day, and the fresh bucket for drinking.
"Remember to drink slowly." Sesshomaru reminded, as he prepared the sponage, so he could clear Koryu's eyes without soaking him, or hurting him.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu nodded and dipped his beak eagerly into the bucket....or rather tried to.

After a few fumbling tries he found the bucket's rim and drank in slow sips. When he was satisfied he lay his head down, turned, hopefully, so that Sesshomaru could easily apply the sponge.

"Sessh...please be careful...I...I don't want you to be sick as well. Don't let me make you plagued too."

darksithya
"I'll be alright." Sesshomaru replied, gently aplying the sponge to each eye in turn, untill atleast they were cleaned. He did not know if this would help him to see, but he suspected even if it didnt, geting out the film, and crust, would atleast ease the pain.
Wen he was done, he dumped out the water far away from the stream, or from the berry bushes, and burried to sponge, so it wouldnt cause infections, and as quickly as he could he returned to Koryu.
"Does it hurt less?" Sesshomaru asked apon his return.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu was blinking rapidly, but he gave Sesshomaru a wane smile...or rather the wall to the left of Sesshomaru. His eyes were a pale pink rather than their usual bloody red, and seemed to be covered over with a gooey sort of white film that was hopefully part of the healing process.

"Hurts less...a lot less. I'm still blind, though," He posited, smile fading as thoughts surged of never being able to fly or hunt, or even walk without help ever again.

darksithya
Sesshomaru sat down beside Koryu, and nuzzled him, as if having the same thought. "Koryu, if there is a cure for this somewhere. Or atleast a way to help you see, I would fly acrost all the seas for it." Sesshomaru said softly. He wanted to help Koryu be strong agein, seeing Koryu so weak was the most painful thing he had ever seen, the thought of the once happy and healthy griff, now so weak would tear apart any griff.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu nuzzled back, fiercely, until, unexpectedly his head slipped easily under Sesshomaru's, something that would never have been possible with horns on his head. Koryu startled, with a small cry, and pulled his head away, as if stung.

"I...I'm sorry, sorry...I..." He whispered, shaken, staring blindly at nothing.

darksithya
"Koryu, its ok, dont strain you're self." Sesshomaru said quickly, noting his distress, puting a winger over him.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu relented, pressng his face desperately against Sesshomaru's shoulder with a sound supiciously like a sob.

"No, it's not...I'm...I'm a hornless freak!"

darksithya
Sesshomaru wasnt shure how to reply, he knew saying it was ok wasnt enuff. If he had lost his horns, it would have deeply bothered him, and this was considering, he had already proven he didnt need all his limbs, so on a hole wasnt as bothered by it as most. So to think what it was like for Koryu, made it hard for him to choose words, so instead, he just did his best to comfort him.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu sighed, unhappy, but let his eyes close and cuddled against Sesshomaru's shoulder lovingly.

"Sorry...it's so dark...easy to get depressed." he whispered into what was for him the deep pitch black of a moonless night. The afternoon sun shone brightly at the mouth of the shelter. "I love you."

darksithya
"Its ok. Even if its dark forever, I wont leave you." Sesshomaru whispered, wondering what it must be like, to live in total darkness, for days, and weeks, with no ending in sight, or prehaps at all. He closed his eyes, and rested his head as lightly as possible agenst Koryu.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu purred softly, butting his head against Sesshomaru's.

"I trust you, Sesshomaru. If I regain my strength enough...you'll help me? I...I don't know how I'll hunt, or walk or...o-or..." Koryu hesitated, not yet ready to acknolwedge that he might never fly again. The words choked in his throat.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 22, 2010 9:31 pm

darksithya
Sesshomaru nodded, tho not that it matter much with Koryu being blind. "I will always help, so long as you need me." Sesshomaru preened Koryu's neck afectionatly.

PearlyUnicorn
Weeks passed and passed again, and a new month saw Koryu wobbling from the Mystic's places, trailing, trembling, after Sesshomaru, always within wing's reach. His broken wing mended straight, and though it no longer pained him, the black Hippogriff did not dare to test them out.

He was still blind, pale-eyes and filmy, and as hornless as ever, but each day that he felt the sunshine on his feathers seemed to do him more good.

Today he was resting near the river - Koryu still did not dare return as he was to the group as Sesshomaru did - sunning himself with wings spread, gracefully limp, across a wide rounded boulder, waiting for his beloved to return with the day's kill.

darksithya
Sesshomaru was draging stag back to Koryu, recaping on the past month or so. The first few weeks had been hard, but with each passing day that Koryu's stregnth reutrned, it got easier, and seemed all well worth it. He had managed to get the elves to use their heads, but at this point it was unneeded. He still did not know if Koryu would ever be able to see agein, but around Koryu he cept is hopes up, since that seemed to help.

Sesshomaru smiled as he spoted Koryu, he had improved greatly over the past week, and seeing him sunning agein, enjoying the weather realy did help him think things would turn out alright, and he would be able to see, and maybe his horns might grow back!
He droped the stag beside Koryu, and and sat down beside him, it was a nice spring day, the trees were covered in flowers, the air was fresh and carried the sents of all the new flowers, and the animals were returning from hibernation.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu's head went up and he smiled. Sesshomaru usually made no sound when he walked, so perfect and graceful, but nobody could be silent while dragging dead food behind him.

"Sesshomaru!" He called, not bothering to turn his head. Koryu had learned that there was no way to be sure he was pointed the correct way, he was invariably off by more than a little. He simply grinned, poised, like an ebony and pearl statue posed with wings spread to catch the sun and neck curved in a perfect 's.' "That didn't take very long...did you have a good hunt?"

darksithya
"Yes, the prey is all returning from the south." Sesshomaru afectionetly preened Koryu's neck. "Tho the others are starting to stray from the clearing now. I went about 5 miles away, and saw a few easse and their mother out for a walk." He sighed, knowing this would happen eventualy.
"They'll find out soon." He sighed agein, and nuzzled Koryu reashuringly. "But I also promised I wouldnt let anyone hurt you again."

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu sighed, unhappily, and turned his beak, preening Sesshomaru's feathers with careful slow precision, savoring the moment.

"I know," He sighed, "...it's still frightening.

Koryu folded his wings and for a moment simply leaned into Sesshomaru's caress. Then, with shuddering care the black Hippogriff lifted himself and carefully made his way towards the delicious smell of fresh meat and still-warm blood.

darksithya
"I didnt say it had to be now...." He replied, enjoyng Koryu's preening, as he wrapped a wing around the black griff.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu smiled and let the strong pressure of Sesshomaru's wing draw him against the white 'griff's body until he was sheltered in that warm place that always served to make him feel safe.

"I love you," He hummed, voice a silky sigh of pleasure among the thick ruff of feathers where Koryu's head lay. "Though I'm not always sure why you put up with me."

darksithya
Sesshomaru nuzzled Koryu's neck, drawing him closer under his wing. "I dont think I could put up with being without you." He reashured. It was odd, not a few months ago, he couldnt have imagined himself willing to give up anything for any griff, or ever wanting anyone by his side, and now here he was, with Koryu, willing to rip out his own eyes to help him, and not being able to think of life without him.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu smiled adoringly up at Sesshomaru, laying his head along the line of the larger 'griff's neck to do so. "Now, that doesn't make any sense. I know I'm annoying."

but there wasn't any sting in it...barely a month ago Koryu's voice would have held not a soft, joking laugh, but bitter certainty. Blind and hornless or not, Sesshomaru's trust and love had had a profound effect on the black hippogriff.

He was, for lack of a better word, blossoming.

darksithya
Sesshomaru smiled down at Koryu, Koryu was the only one that he would ever smile for, while he wasnt walking around grining like a fool around him, he did smile, even if Koryu couldnt see it.
"It wouldnt be the same without you tho."

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu chuckled and nibbled at the fluff near Sesshomaru's chin lovingly.

"I can hear you smiling...Your voice always sounds like that when you smile."

darksithya
"You're geting better at going without sight." Sesshomaru replied, enjoying Koryu's preening.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu snorted, and curved his neck to rest it on Sesshomaru's forelegs, like a dog.

"I'm not as stupid as I look, you know...not that that's saying much," Koryu jibbed, jokingly.

darksithya
"Its a good thing I like the annoyingly cute and stupid types." Sesshomaru teased, gently preening Koryu.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu chuckled and arched his neck, bending to receive Sesshomaru's caress like a happy cat.

"So very lucky for me," He murmured, voice a low rumble of pleasure. The sun was hot on his black feathers and bright on Sesshomaru's white ones. In that oment, facing the others didn't seem so bad.

darksithya
Sesshomaru was enjoying the moment as much as Koryu, it was times like these that made everything seem like it would ok.
"I love you..." Sesshomaru murmered.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu responded with a happy sigh and a subtle shift of his weight to rest nearer to his beloved, wordlessly he replied in kind, of his love for Sesshomaru. Time stretched in silence as motes danced on amber rays through the overhanging branches.

"We...we'll always be together, right, Sesshomaru?" He whispered, almost frightened. He had not used this soft desperate tone since that first night in the Mystic's cavern...it spoke of deep fears in the dark, and made the warm, honeyed afternoon seem chill and dim.

darksithya
Wen Koryu spoke like that, it chilled his heart more then the worst of his icey glares which could make almost anyone flee in terror. Tightening his wing around Koryu he nuzzled his neck. "I wont ever leave you. Even if you should not wish me by you're side any longer, I would still follow you, even in to darkness."

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu cried out softly, and wrapped both his forearms around Sesshomaru's nearst one, clinging in a way that once might have gotten him repremanded for act like "a silly female easses." For a half a minute he held tight, trembling, as a bird to a branch in high wind, then heaved a sigh and laid back down, content to lie still within Sesshomaru's strong grasp and great strength.

"Sesshomaru, I love you...always, always." he whispered conversationally, then fell silent for a long time, simply listening to the river and Sesshomaru's heart beat, staring off into the darkness that was the beautiful view of the river.

A fish jumped, a bird sang, the rays of sun moved along the rock another two inches with the passing of the day. "S...should we...Do you think..." Koryu began, then stopped. "No, nevermind...'m'sorry."

darksithya
Sesshomaru looked down at him, wondering if he was about to ask the thing that he had wanted to ask. "What is it Koryu?" He asked as a moment passed, the sun sinking ever lower in the sky, turning it to a golden orange.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu sighed, and wished again for sight. It was so hard to even []think of becoming bonded with Sesshomaru, when he couldn't even see his face.

"Should we...be...becme..." Koryu started, hesitantly, the sighed at himself, disgustedly. He was such a coward, he couldn't even finish saying it. "I don't know."

darksithya
Sesshomaru gave Koryu a afectionate nuzzle, deciding that he was nearly 100% shure Koryu was about to ask him what he thought he was, and even if he wasnt, Sesshomaru still wanted to ask this question.
"Koryu, would you be my mate, and lifebond with me?" Sesshomaru asked, his voice clear and strong.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu gaped, stunned atiff and swallowed, completely unaware f how rediculously sun-truck he looked.

"Really?" He squeeked, voice gone high. The black hippogriff swallowed again and pressed his face into Seshomaru's mane, trying desperately to stop the sudden trembling that had overtaken him.

"I...I mean..y-you're sure you want to? I...I'm terribly annoying. I'm not a good fighter...I...I'm blind, Sessohmaru. What if I never fly again, or hunt?"

darksithya
"I've never wanted anything so much as I have wanted you." Sesshomaru nuzzled the top of Koryu's head. Sesshomaru could not think of a future in which he and Koryu were apart.
"Koryu, I truely love you, and wish for nothing more then to be with you." He whispered.

PearlyUnicorn
Koryu swallowed, and blinked, totally limp against Sesshomaru, his mind clearly blank. then, he giggled. Koryu laughed softly until it turned into something better and he leapt up as if to gallop off like and excited Easses, then, realizing he didn't know how to get down from the stone without Sesshomaru's help, he flung himself down again. Still giggling madly, Koryu splayed himself, not under Sesshomaru's wing as was their custom, but irreverantly across his back, like a lover. It was a frighteningly intimate sort of thing to do, without asking, and it spoke of many things that had not been discussed between them.

Gently he nibbled at the soft wispy feathers behind Sesshomaru's ear-tufts, just as he liked best, still chortling to himself.
