Oh! Good idea. I can start.

So this has been an eventful week for me. I got a new tattoo and a brand new hairstyle/color and I'm so happy!

Amazing how subtle changes to our appearance can make us feel so much more confident, huh? Even though right now my hair is bright red...The stylist said it'd supposed to fade in about a week...

Oh, and I realized I'm a complete nerd...

I'm a major otaku. And I worry that I might be gettting too old for that.

It's called Penelope's Web. It's this kind of geometric pattern somehow made with only two lines. It's also a Wiccan smbol for protection. I don't have a picture of it on my skin because it's on my back, though. But here's the design...



And yeah, it was blonde. Still is blonde. I just have a lot of red highlights now. Which pretty much make the blonde nonexistent.

I know. I can't figure it out, either. And the tattoo artist didn't do it in only two lines either. I guess it's harder to draw when it's bein permanently etched into your skin.

I want to get an egyptian ankh next. I can't wait! I'm a tattoo junkie.

I was really upset about this last tattoo. Not about the tattoo itsel, but about the circumstances surrouding it.

See, I have this friend whom I really value the opinion of. And I told her that I wanted to get a tattoo, and she immediately told me that was a bad idea. She gave me this lecture about how I could never take it off my body, and in ten years I might not like it. Which is understandable.

But see, here's the big thing. She's a tattoo junkie herself. I only get tattoos that have meaning to me. I have a music note on my wrist because music is a very integral part of my life, and Penelope's Web because I am a Wiccan. But she gets a music note on her neck, even though she has nothing to do with music, and she has a huge cherry tree branch on her back just because she thought it was pretty. Which makes me made because that's one of the reasons she told me not to get mine.

It makes me feel like she thinks I can't make these decisions myself, and that I don't think logically about it. It's not an impetuous decision of mine. I've been wanting it for months, but I only recently got the money for it. I really upsets me, and she only talked to me a few days after I got it, asking if I had, and when I told her I did, she got mad and hasn't talked to me since. Which upsets me a lot because I'm the one being punished even though I didn't do anything wrong! I mean, it's my body. And her life motto (she's an artist, by the way. Or used to be) is 'The body is just another blank canvas.' It upsets me so much!

Oh god. Helllooooo, rant queen. Sorry guys. This has just really been heavy on my mind, for the past few days.

@Rune: It was awkward because he was crying. Or trying really hard not to. Before I said anything. Eck. And then one of my friends came up to me before practice and was all like, "You made the poor boy cry." Still awkward. Haha. But no, you don't hve to worry about being a rant queen.

P.S. I have a tattoo also. It's a friendship symbol my best friend got too. Yeah it's corny, but I'd get it done either way, I like the design. I want more tattoos haha.

I'd actually have to have a picture of it with an actual camera. There's one on my phone but I took it right when I got it done. So it's still a little red. The tattoo itself is green. The colour is called, and I'm not kidding, Ectoplasmic Green. The tattoo artist said it was his favourite colour and I liked it so haha.
