Argento walked through the streets looking for entertainment that may appease his thirst for danger. He passed numerous humans, their stench driving him mad and making him feel sick. He hated hiding amongst them and longed to just be able to be free to do as he pleased. He was about to make the trip to what he called home when the sounds of coins and several laughing caught his attention. Near the entrance of an alley way were several men older than himself rolling dice around and exchanging coins over bets. Well well well what have we here? he thought to himself as he walked over to join in.

Ian walked into the streets proper from the slums and sniffed the air. He was home proper now. He had missed his home city, and would enjoy being back. He headed off to the bazaar to see who else of his friends he could find.

Apocate stood chuckling darkly down a side street, a shimmering sheen of mist, smog, and dust cloaking him mostly from view. Bending light is a difficult matter using electricity alone, so a steady and constantly shifting pattern of dim light still shined on the ground and walls around him, but with the shadows and low traffic through this area he figured he wouldn't be too noticeable. It didn't matter much anyway, no one would ever believe a person that saw him and told people about it. Apocate continued chuckling as he stared at nothing in particular, he found something immensely amusing, but he didn't know what. Maybe it was that feeling deep in his gut that had been slowly building over these long lonely years: the feeling that he should burn these wretched cities of man. He should burn them all to the ground. Maybe that would stop this unceasing, maddened, and disgusting laughter that pulsed and vibrated out of his electric maw. Apocate shook his body, flinging the dust and mist and smog that he had gathered around his body away from him, revealing his true, shockingly violent yellow color and the crackling sparks of electricity around his monstrous wolfen body. Chuckles still wracked his body as he vanished in a rolling burst of thunder and a bolt of lightning.

Adenar felt something explode next to him and he turned to see as a strike of lightning not but ten yards from where he walked with Demitri. He ran over to investigate the area and was dismayed when all he found was a static charge and some ash from the plants on the ground that had been burnt to a crisp by the electricity. Adenar frowned and stood, then going back to Demitri he said, "Well... I'm not sure what that was about, but I would say that it is safe to continue. Shall we?" He pointed in the direction of the palace. "We should not keep them waiting..." He motioned for Demitri to follow and then continued walking, stowing the brass knuckles he had pulled out when the lightning struck.

Argento saw his chance and took action. He bumped into one of the two that he had seen investigate the lightning strike. As he bumped him nearly as quick as the lightning had been he retrieved a small object from the man. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and the lightning made me jump" he said trying to honestly sound that he was sorry. Before he let them respond he nodded at them then went off into the crowd. Only then did he look at his prize, a single brass knuckle.

Ian a few feet away tripped Argento very plainly and purposefully. "Oy, Adenar. This kid stole your knuckles." He said as he put his foot on Argento's back. "No moving friend." He said

Argento squirmed under his foot trying to get free. The fall had split his chin open leaving a crimson trickle running down to his neck. "Get off of me" he yelled as he tried to grab his assailants leg. He hated getting busted, especially in public.

Ian silently put more pressure down on the small of his back. From the blood he could smell this man was a lycan, much more contemptible because he was lowering himself to thievery. "Let us leave here." He said as he pulled him up and lead him away, his dagger next to his back so that he wouldn't run.

"Look, I don't know what your plannin, but I've been in worse before" he said trying to sound tough. All he needed was an opening but the man wasn't giving him one. If not for the dagger he would have been gone by now, but he decided its not worth the risk of personal injury.

Ian growled so low in his throat that only another Lycan would hear him. He grabbed the brass knuckles and threw them back without looking, trusting his super intuition that they would land before Adenar. "Listen kid. I don't know who you ******** with. But you are spoiling the name of Devoncroix with this kind of behavior." Ian said, his grip tightened on his arm.

"Oh please, whats there to spoil? We have to hide what we are and what we can do, many of us now work with the humans, I figure I'm just doing my part by bringin home food and money everyday, what I do helps us" he said through gritted teeth. If I can just get him to lose control or focus for a second, I can be out of here he thought to himself as he waited with a smug smirk on his face.

"Heh. Stealing is for weaker animals. We are hunters." Ian said with no emotions on his face. "You should know this." Ian said stopping and putting his dagger away. "Go, you disgust me too much to be in your presence." He said before walking past him to the palace but bumping him and cutting his purse with his nail and taking it to make the other know how it felt. He turned a corner and threw all the coins of the purse into the street and the greedy humans descended on it immediately. He scowled at them and left.

Argento laughed as the human went after the money he had earned that day. Looks like I got a busy night tonight he thought to himself as he retrieved the brass knuckles that the man had left without taking. Could probably make a few bets with these, if only Altair were here then we could make a boat load. he continued in his thoughts as he pocketed the weapon again and went in search of his friend.

Aden had noticed the theft, and was going to catch Argento when he thought he had succeeded, but Ian's solution was just as good. He told Demitri to wait, and backtracked to the place where Ian stood. "Ah, nice to see you so soon after your return Ian." He walked stealthily among the crowd to where Argento was and punched full force into Argento's kidney from behind with his other knuckle. "I would not have done that if I were you. I suggest before I paralyze you that you return my other bras knuckle, thief. Stealing from a military officer was your biggest mistake today."
