I'd have to say Dir en grey, Mindless Self Indulgence, Atmosphere, Dj Dieselboy, and Tupac.
Its hard to pick favorites, so I choose a 5 thats probably not accurate. I like most genres, and you can never have enough of the good days of rap. Plus metal makes me spaz, gotta love it. :p
System of a Down used to be my favorite band, but I started steering towards new music. Serj in my opinion shouldn't have started a solo career outside the band (even if its on hiatus) he only sounded his best with his band, most of his solo songs are to similar sounding.

I agree, I'm not picky either, as long as it's good.
But I can agree with you also on the fact that Serj's solo album is similar sounding.
But there are a lot of songs on there that really are quite good.
And suggestions on a SOAD type band?

Yes there definitely is!
Hmm. Well Mindless Self Indulgence is very close to soad just in a different genre of its own. Hmm. Theres not alot of bands that can do what SOAD can. But if your finnin to find something new, i'd suggest dir en grey.

It's so true, they're on their own musical island, free from the influence of others. That's why I fell in love with them.
And I'm listening to MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE right now, I like the speedy feel to it xD.

@pyro: Yes a very good reason to love a band even more. I feel that way about most of the bands I listen to. Especially Dir en grey, you can't possibly find a band that can resemble it. Its everything, but at the same thing, not everything. Its weird and complicated. But every album they've ever made is unpredictable. Withering to Death (my favorite) ft The Final (which i'd advise to youtube, you'll gasm) and Uroborus (Obscure) you can see the differences.
Msi is very different for sure. I got exposed to them when my friend took me to their concert, been in love with them ever since.

Gorillaz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Daft Punk, System of a Down (lotta fun memories with that one, ask about them!), N.E.R.D, Cake and Cage The Elephant are all some of my favorites.
Right now though? Coheed & Cambria and The Prizefighter Inferno. Pretty much, if you like progressive metal, check out co&ca, if you like quirky music like Owl City, TPFI is your friend, although they're much better than Owl City, just saying, haha.

Dir en Grey has been one of my favorites for the past 6+ years or so. Although I haven't looked up on them like at all in MONTHS DX they might already have new stuff out and I don't know about it gonk I adore Kyo; he has one of my favoritest voices.
Aeari, did they release anything new after Uroboros?
I also enjoy Arashi, not only is their music happy and enjoyable, but the actual band members are probably the funniest bunch who do the craziest s**t; I wanna be their friend.
I enjoy Big Bang, although I'm really not a fan of rap and that sort, Big Bang does more than rap, but I find their rapping bearable sometimes.... maybe its because I don't understand all the Korean words when they dont rap in English ( lul )
The last few months I've been downloading and learning the songs by like, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Jo Bros; mostly for my niece who loves them although I like a few songs.
I've also been listening to a few Muse songs lately; been thinking about finding a discography because so far I like'm
My music taste is pretty all around. Aside from like the gangster rap and s**t they they try to call good music round these parts now-a-days

If you like that sort of thing. I Also LOVE ICP, Dethklok, Lady Gaga (Oh yeah) and a few others. I Don't exactly have a favorite, I just listen to what I'm in the mood for. Oh yeah, Marlyn Manson is the s**t as well. Rob Zombie, Chevelle, Skillet, and tons of others I can't think of right now razz .

Hmm...I like DBSK's Bolero, Killswitch Engage's Starting Over, Cradle of Filth's Her Ghost in the Fog, Brown Eyed Girls's Abracadabra, Gazette's Distress and Coma with Invisible Wall some more songs that I can't think of now. xD

I never liked BSB or NSYNC when they were 'in' lol. maybe because my sister was a fangirl. But now I enjoy their music. Also I've got some O-Town, Prozaak, FIVE and I thought I put LEN on my itunes.... but apparently not *shall do so soon* I also used to have a bunch of Aqua*must also do* and I've been meaning to put all my Spice Girls cds on my itunes. 90s music=<3
