It seems that every time i'm about to finish i get by three blue shells and at least one red shell. I still win though.

The worse time you can get a blue shell is when you are right next to the finish on your second grand prix, you already got first the last 3 races, you get hit by a blue shell, 3 guys pass you, and you get in 2nd because of that and can't unlock mirror mode crying

I hate races more in single player than online. Usually, I always get stuck with those usual racers that always come in 6-7-8 ... as people with uber-high item stats. It sucks hardcore, because I'm usually blowing the CPU's away, but usually about mid 2nd lap I get hit with about SIX.

They suck when you get hit with them, they rock when you use them to win.

It's fair game, and are only there to give other racers a fighting chance. I once released one on myself and loss, t'was not good at all...

I was in a race against someone and the person let one at the very end before I woulda won. It was a tiebreaker.

I was on the Nintendo Forums and this guy had a tutorial on how to evade them. Haven't tried it out yet though.

The same thing happens to me as well, and i guess it could be Karma, but the only people i really race against is my friend at school and my sisters (they got DS's for christmas). And i've never really done anything to them... or anybody else...... unless provoked... >> Then again, it's probably only my luck... i'm one of the most unlucky people i know.

Blue shells suck - the worst case I've had was on Airship fortress - got shelled as soon as i hit the floor after the cannon, and then as I got to the bottom of the spirally bit. I was 1st in every race, and was first up to there. Finished 3rd. crying
