Update by the Captain: I hope you all got your Pichus! The Event ended yesterday! This thread will be moved to the archived announcements forum in a few days! Sorry for the late update, Serebii hasnt updated anything about the special Pichu for some reason, so I've decided to use the information off Pokemon.com instead! ThanksHead to GameStop beginning January 30th to get a unique Shiny Pichu for your Pokémon™ Diamond, Pearl or Platinum Version game! A special Pichu is heading to Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Versions, but only for a limited time! From January 30th to February 14th, head to a U.S. GameStop store with your Nintendo DS™ and Pokémon game to receive a Shiny Pichu! This Shiny Pichu is a deeper yellow color than most Pichu, and it has bright red cheeks, much like its famous evolved form, Pikachu! Shiny Pichu holds even more secrets if you transfer the Pokémon to either Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver Version, coming March 14th. Once you've traded Shiny Pichu, take it to Ilex forest to meet Spiky-Eared Pichu, the one featured in the recent movie, Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life! Be sure to visit your local GameStop store between January 30th and February 14th to get this one-of-a-kind Pichu and reserve your copy of Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver Version! Stay tuned to Pokémon.com for more information!

Just a reminder to everyone that the Pikachu-colored Pichu event at Gamestop is now underway, until February 14th, so be sure to stop in at your local Gamestop and get ahold of yours.
(I have a chance to get mine today; I'm not sure yet...if my sister actually comes through for me for once...as embarrassed as I was to admit it to her...)

And may I say....that Pichu suuuuure is cute.....(I snuck two systems into my bag and didn't tell my sister. I got two!)
It knows Volt Tackle, and has a Classic ribbon, and to my great amazement, it comes to my first-ever pokemon in a Cherish Ball! I've always wanted one!!!
PS, it's holding an Everstone, so be careful you don't evolve it by mistake. It's level 30 and you'd be tempted...

I have yet to get mine, so I should probably venture up to GameStop this weekend and get it.
Do you actually have to be in stores to get it? Or can you just stay in the car outside the store?

Well I've heard that some places you can manage this. It's worth a try.
Oh, but if your game has more than two Wonder Cards, you'll have to delete one of them. You have to have a free slot you know.
And you just download the Pichu via Mystery Gift. Takes two seconds, literally. You cannot change its name, and I don't recommend evolving it or you might not be able to trigger the event in HG/SS.
But watching it come out of the Cherish Ball and then give its special Shiny Glitter....totally amazing.

Cherish ball pokemon only seem to be given out at special Nintendo events, and in that regard you could say this was my first one, although I've gotten Darkrai, Manaphy, and others from other non-trade sources, usually via wi-fi that unlocked game events or from the Ranger games.

My friend got mine (I don't have D/P/Pt), she had Diamond and Platinum and got 2 Pichu. She's giving one to me once I get HeartGold. She says he quite the gentlemen, so I'm rather pleased. x3

They really are adorable.
My last reminder to everyone is to not accidentally evolve theirs. (It comes with an Everstone but still...) If you do, I doubt you can use it to activate the special event in HG/SS.

hey if anybody actually wants cherishballs to get pokemon with, lemme know...i have a ton in my back room. bought a severly hacked diamond game so i have 999 of them, and can make more readily. and i have 3 copies of that pichu, and yes evolving him will stop the hg ss spikey eared pichu from popping up.

Note from the Captain:
I can't stop you from trading hacked item/pokemon between yourselves, but I'm giving off a warning now....hacked items or pokemon have a chance of disrupting your game or erasing it entirely, and hacked pokemon are banned from gameplay in this Guild should any of you decide to use the subforums to set up your own tournament or battle requests.
I'm not innocent of ever hacking games myself--my third gen games--but I can't emphasize enough the dangers of being reckless with your games and the possible damage you could inflict on others by trading them hacked pokemon or items.
On the personal level I only use(d) hacked pokemon or items for my own benefit. I didn't have anyone but myself to trade with! (still don't.)
That, my friends, is your call and this Guild bears no responsibility if your game sustains damage from a hacked item or pokemon.
