WWYCD? And to help reignite this subforum, which is sadly *dead.*
An immense part of writing involves the characters you use. They need to be concrete, specific, strong. They need to have a deep desire they are driving toward while an obstacle great enough to hold them back keeps them from it. And their emotions and realities need to be as real as you.
Concrete and real characters can be difficult to make. This game begins with a concrete scenario the first person gives. The next person will then respond to the scenario with what one of their characters would do in such a situation.
Hint: It is best to use a character that you have NOT already concreted. For example, I have no problem writing about most of my characters. With Tori, for instance, her thoughts flow on the page easily. I know what she wants, what she thinks, and what she will do durring the best of times or the worst of times. However, when I write about Mizu, though he is one my my favorite characters, I have issues debating what he should be doing or thinking. It's like looking through one of Harry Potters Rememberals, peering through the smoke and attempting to get a glimpse. Therefore, I should be using Mizu, and I will. You can use different characters, but it is best to stick to a single one or a single pair of characters to avoid skipping them because you simply do not know what they would do in that situation.
This game requires a severe thought process and creativity, which is what writing demands, so it is a great exercize. If you want to play but don't have a character, make one up. You are not penalized for giving a "bad" or "incorrect" response. It is assumed that most responses (especially mine) will be utter failures, so don't feel pressured. If you can't think of a response on the spot, well, that's the idea. Simply try to give as detailed a response as possible. Detailed action/reaction = detailed character = good.
While creating a scenario, try to avoid references to conduct. For example, don't put something like "WWYCD if, while basking in the sun in a field of lovely flowers, a poisonous snake bit them?" What if the character wouldn't be caught DEAD in a field of pretty flowers? Therefore, simply do your best to remain somewhat generic (that goes for gender, too), but, overall, there is no "wrong" scenario. It is okay to use movie or book instances to create a scenario. Just try to keep them short and let the author fill in the details. Also, I appologize if I have been spelling "scenario" wrong this whole time. I'm and English major, not a Spelling major XDD!
Example:
WWYCD if they were trapped on a small island after a viscious plane or boat crash and appeared to be the only survivor?
Mizu would moap for a while because he is prone to counting his losses bitterly and wishing for the past. However, his fear of strange animals or people on the island would eventually overwelm him, and he would be driven to create some kind of protection like a weapon or a shield, in case they happened to be inhospitable. He would naturally have a desire to return home to his eight-year-old daughter Yukizu because, despite the fact that he was probably on a long trip, he neglects to hire a sitter. In his fear of the unknown, he would refuse to make a fire, as the smoke would attract, not only ships, but all manner of life on the island. He is used to eating vegitation and depicting what should and should not be eaten. He would remain in the smallest corner of the island with little shealter and probably be reduced to placing large rocks in a "HELP!" sign. Unfortunately, he comes from the Shibbian planet, and would not speak English, but surely some form of writing would at least attract anyone if they were oddly close. Coming from a planet with no large bodies of water, he would have no knowledge of what salt water is and why you shouldn't drink it, so he would soon die from drinking ocean water. LOLOL sad day for him!

Mizu would run spastically back to his home (with the assumptions that spastic serpentine directions will confuse the bombs) where he would look for Yukizu, his five-year-old daughter. Then he would abandon the house (and his favorite hat) to look for her at the school (still running spastically, btw). Then he would leave said place of residency (probably on foot). If he actually had somewhere to run, as in, he doesn't live in the middle of the desert or on an island, he would find a relatively peaceful place to make out some sort of existence there, most likely scarred for life. If you bang on a locker, he'll be all "IT'S THE BOMBS IT'S THE BOMBS! *fetal position*" If he had no place to go, he would attemps to run away, find that his efforts were futile, and die somewhere in a ditch in the fetal position. Unfortunately, finding Yukizu doesn't change either of these outcomes as far as life and death. If he lived, he would simply be less scarred for life.
WWYCD if they awoke one morning to discover that they had been turned into a giant cockroach? If your character is ironically already a giant cockroach, assume that they have been transformed into a human instead.

I like this game! And I was just tempted to create a character who is already a giant cockroach.. but I won't.
I shall be using one of my newest charries here. Her name is Flaris Zavir LeGenevieve Marie Dominique Chaffee, and she is French. I created her for a sick and twisted Neverland RP; she left France and joined Hook, as she is out for revenge against Pan, The Child Theif. So I am putting her in that world.
If Flaris awoke one morning, finding that she was a giant cockroach, the first thing she would do, is beging to scurry around the ship, squealing in panic. Now, the crew would probably think that this creature came aboard and ate Flaris, because they can't find her. So, seeing as the crew would be attacking this cockroach, Flaris would most definitly fight back, while still squealing in panic. Then, she would try to find a way to fix this, first by going to the Indian Spirit Prince they have captive on their ship. She would give him a few warnings, and then try to attack him, and if he really acted like he didn't know what was going on, she would simply wound him badly so that he would probably die. Next she would go to Berulli, the merman who befriended her. He has magic, and she would expect him to fix it. Now, Berulli would be able to see that it was Flaris, and since he actually likes her, he would be quite upset that his Crimson Child is now a cockroach. Next, she would go to the faries, the evil little creatures, and attack them, expecting them to fix her problem, since Berulli could not.
Now, the faries might kill her, or she might kill them. Seeing as she is in a strange body that she doesn't know well, she would probably not do so well. Flaris is a fighter, and cockroaches don't die easially, so I'm going to assume she makes it out of this, and gets back to the sea, where I'm assuming Berulli would have found a way to return her to her natural form. Now, if Berulli couldn't fix it, Flaris would go to Tiger Lily, the Indian girl, and try to get her to fix it. I don't think she could.. but if her condition could not be returned to normal, Flaris would attempt to wipe out every single fairy in existance, and torture Pan until he slowly bled to death. Then, Flaris would continue to search for a way to turn human again until she died. If she did kill Pan and turn human again, she would go back to France, somehow.

Wooo post! Thanks, Boo! =D
I'm assuming that this means that Mizu would be the main character in his game of Mari in the 64 Nintendoness. Therefore, starting from the beginning of the game, he would slowly climb out of the pipe, confused as to where he is and why the graphics are so bad as well as grossed out that he just clumbed out of a green sewage pipe to get there. As he examines his clothes (assuming they are still his and not Mario's) to dispose of anything out of place (like sewage), the guy in a cloud would come up with the camera. Mizu comes from a planet where, if you can manage to see the clouds at all, they are dark red, not white. He would imagine that the cloud is some kind of odd bird. The latku itself, he would assume is also a bird because it is riding on top of the larger bird. If a large bird allows a small bird to hitch a ride without any complaint, the smaller bird must be formidable, and should therefore be treated with caution. Mizu would beg for the latku to spare his life. When the confused latku relays his message of Princess Peach, Mizu would take less intrest because he is a homosexual. However, there is the possibility of finding a prince with this said princess, so he would most likely go along with it. Because the latku is observing from behind, Mizu would assume that this fierce bird is responsible for his predicament, and it is studying his species. Finding said princess (or prince) would make the bird happy and surely return him to his formal state.
Wao, this is actually going to be kind of long.
So, Mizu goes into the castle and observes from the strange humanoid stubs (who appear to be some sort of "toad" men) that he must go through some sort of door with a star on it. They all have stars on them. After trying every door (having to suffer through Bowers horendous barking for each one), he finally opens the right one. Apparently, he is suppose to jump into this nausiatingly high painting. Fat chance, toadman. He'll wander around the castle grounds for a day or two and eventually attempt to pole-vault in there. Once in, if he isn't frightened off by the bomb, turtle, and mushroom creatures, the giant bowling ball with teeth will certaintly send him scurrying. A few days later, he may gather the courage to run past the chop. If he survived the annoying rocky battlefield, he would find a 70 degree hill or a bowling ally. He would choose to climb the hill rather than being possibly crushed by bowling balls that weigh a ton or two. He would exhaust himself doing such and find that he must taverse the bowling ally anyway. If he miraculously survived without being crushed, and made it all the way to the top, he would find that he must defeat a massive black bowling ball-like structure that appears to be made of some sort of solid hard matter. Nevertheless, it is a creature impossible for his species to harm, let alone defeat. He must climb back down the bowling ally, back to the friendly pink bombs, who will hopefully agree to helping his survival. Mizu would expect the best from him because he is used to the hospitality from his culture. Unfortunately, there is no access back to the castle other than pressing the start button, which Mizu does not have access to. Assuming that the bombs have food fit for a human-like creature, Mizu may live a few more years before dying of boredom or terror. Sad day, he didn't even get one star XDD!
When hi discovered that the latiku was actually a weak creature that simply wanted to stalk him, he would eventually murder it, seeing as how it isn't responsible for his transformation. Who knows, mayber killing it will set things back to normal. No? Well, he probably would never find a way to change back. If he did manage to change back, he would fear videogame systems forever and assume that they are cursed, possessed, and demonic. Look out for dat Mario, he'll steal your soul!
WWYCD if a hurricane had caused a massive blue piano to land on their home? If they have no home, it landed on their belongings. If they have no belongings, it landed on . . . them.

Saru would immediately attribute the piano's blueness to magic. Saru would tilt her head and wonder about its origin instead of trying to do something productive and concrete because she's indecisive. she would probably run to her best friend's house to avoid the wrath of her parents, who are currently paying off their house, and are close to finishing the mortgage. she would probably attack herself for being so indecisiveness and engage in some more mental debate about how she should treat her indecisiveness. She and her would write about the piano in her room, and wonder about the significance of the color blue. the winds have caused a tree to fall on her friend's house, but the rest is in tact, and both are grateful.
