((Just a fall day in Konoha. Nothin' special.))
Kian watched like the sneaky little ninja she was, memorizing the leaves and the way they fell. She crept closer and closer, then suddenly sprang from the bushes. She giggled at Gabriel's groan.
"Kian, I just raked those!" he protested.
"Maybe," she giggled, "But the pile was nice and soft." She flopped onto her back and folded her hands behind her head. Gabriel leaned on his rake and smirked as he watched her.

Phoenix adjusted her hat so her cat ears could fit through the positioned holes.only bits of her blue hair showed through, considering it was just beginning to grow back.
The neko sighed quietly, smoothing out her gray coat.

Kian yelped when Gabriel flopped down next to her, missing her by inches. She glared at him, and he grinned.
"Have some faith, K-chan," he laughed. She pouted and sighed, then brightened when Gabriel glanced up. A broad grin stretched across his face, and he sat up.
"Hey, Phoenix!" he called, waving slightly.

Phoenix twitched and glanced up. She smiled a bit and waved back to him.

Gabriel hopped to his feet, then brushed the leaves from himself. With a glance back at Kian, he jogged over to Phoenix and wrapped her in a bear hug. After he had deemed her lacking of oxygen, he released her with a grin.
"And how is the lovely lady this fine day?" he asked, his day officially bright and happy now that he had a chance to see and talk to the neko.

Gabriel kissed the top of her head and smiled.
"Well then. That's great to hear. Hang on, there's something I want to do."
He picked her up vertical-style and spun around a few times before he set her back on her feet. He winked at her. "There. Much better."

Gabriel laughed quietly and brushed the tip of his nose against the tip of hers.
"Yeah. Same here," he said, his arms still around her. He rubbed her back slightly.

Gabriel let out a contented sigh and rested his chin on the top of her head. He smirked wryly and shifted so he didn't have one of her ears trying to stab his eyes out.

Phoenix smiled softly, her face buried in his chest. She missed the warmth of his arms around her, it felt more like home then the hospital bed.

"We should probably get out of the street before we're mobbed for public affection," he murmured.

Gabriel smirked and picked her up bridal-style, then strode back to the leaf pile. Kian squeaked and moved out of the way, and Gabriel dropped the neko into the large pile. He put his hands on his hips and grinned smugly down at her.
