Hi! I am 21 and want to know what other people's experience has been with romance. I just gotta know! I'm single right now (uh, unfortunately). I don't have any children yet. Right now, I'm pursuing a degree in college.
If you are or have ever been married, what age were you? Why did you get married at that age? Thx for comments! heart

well Im arab so there are different types of what u call marriage we dont have an engagement then a wedding like non muslims do
first we have the engagement(its just like non muslim engagement)
second we have something called milkah (we are married by law, we just do the paper work but no wedding the point of this is for the couple to relax together and this way the girl can uncover her hair and spend all the time she wants with the guy and its not forbidden cuz technically she's his wife)
third we have the wedding(it when by islam standards ur officially married cuz after the wedding is when u allowed to have sex when u do ur married by every standard there is lol)
I hope this is not too confusing or boring for others sweatdrop
but I just couldn't say my experience till I explain it
anyway I got engaged at 19 it was an arranged marriage partly u could say
in a year we had the milkah but we didnt have the wedding yet but by law I have been married for 2 years but last week I broke it off lool
so I guess that makes me divorced at 22 loool xd
but no one in my society sees it as a divorce they see it as just braking off the engagement.
if my post was boring Im sorry every one whee

Married Jan 21st, 1995. I was 24 she was 20. We had a great marriage, but unfortunately do to recent mental issues (depression, anxiety, etc...) we have decided it best if we do no live together anymore. We are still the best of friends and talk every day, but we have not lived together sine 2005.

Well Im not married yet but the wedding date is set for April 24th of 2011. Im 31 and he's, well he's younger than me. :p We'll leave it at that. He's the best man I've ever been with and aside from this starting as a personal statement "I love you, I'm gonna keep you forever and marry you"- "You better..." few months ago then turning into lets look out gowns, him and my 14 year old going on secret missions for engagement rings and now we have a date wow this started fast and huh, but yeah, I'm not that nervous. I think that you know when you know, and I know I never actually thought about being with someone forever until him.. I'm more nervous about this than he is and kinda concerned that we are rushing into something that maybe he's not ready for. But anytime I start to question it, he makes it all okay. biggrin I hope this still counts. :p

We married 9/3/2001, one week before 9/11. We came back from our honeymoon and the next day it happened. It was not a harbinger of bad news for our marriage, luckily, as this year we'll celebrate our 10th. It was Monday, Labour Day, and the weather was magnificent...which considering we had an outdoor ceremony, thank goodness. We married in an arboreteum under a shag bark hickory tree. We had a huppah held up by friends and family, and after that a grand reception at a glitzy hotel. I married my in-laws only daughter and they went all out. It was difficult in one regard because I have anxiety and it was a big wedding with lots of people I didn't know, but I was distracted by my wonderful bride throughout. heart

Hi! I got married on April 25 of this year, so I don't have much experience like some other people do. We got married three days after my mom passed away from pancreatic cancer, she made my dad promise we wouldn't postpone it. I don't even have an engagement ring, which I'm fine with, since it all happened really fast. We've known each other for over four years online, we met in February and - boom! Next thing I know, I'm calling up justices of the peace.
We're married and living off-base now, as my husband's a mechanic in the Army. We got an apartment in May and are soon adopting two or three cats, not sure how many. We haven't had any arguments, we think alike and what we do disagree on, we can talk about and discuss it instead of yelling and fighting.
