I'm just curious what songs/albums you currently have on heavy rotation. And maybe, you can provide me some why, why it really gets you. I can't stop listening to Mark Ronson's remix of Miike Snow's AnimalI fell in love with the original for its lyrics, "In your eyes I see the eyes of somebody who could be strong. Tell me if I'm wrong. Now I'm pulling your disguise up. Are you free or are you tied up." And for the whole concept of hiding your true identity to function in the "real" world. I like the remix because of that great organ-y line (need to learn my sounds/instruments) that mirrors the chorus. And for those even greater ooooh's and animal bleats, haha Ooooh oooh ohhh ohhh

Good thread.
Umm.. on heavy rotation now:
Animal Collective - What Would I Want? Sky - Just a beautiful song, and it has a line in it that just speaks to me, it's worth listening to the whole song for. "I should be floating, but I'm weighted by thinking". Haha.. I just relate. Great song.
Joe Pug - Nobody's Man - It reminds me a lot of when I was train hopping. I get flashbacks of seeing desert, small towns, and smiles. I love his vocal style, too.
Dirty Projectors - Temecula Sunrise - Cool song. I really like the feel of it. Makes me think of two people trying to make a long distance relationship work for some reason, and I can definitely relate to that. -_-
Dirty Projectors - Stillness Is the Move - It reminds me of a '90's R&B song, just modernized. Makes me think of good ol' times, and her voice is amazing, too.
As Cities Burn - Empire - Wow.. it just speaks volumes on my view on religion, it made me see things differently. " I was a pharisee, I never saw my need for grace; Then your love came to me, stood next to mine, and I saw that I was poor". I'm not a religious person, but there's some awesome messages within that song. Plus, I got to hangout with the lead singer from the band, and we talked about what the song means, and all the different ways you can take it. It's just awesome.
I can keep going, but.. yeah.

I can keep going, but.. yeah. Great post! That is a brilliant song by AC, and I enjoyed Dirty Projectors this year. Right now I'm really digging Nurses' "Technicolor" and Twin Sisters' "I Want a House" They're so circular, somehow calming. I like the progression of each track. Otherwise, not sure why they've grown on me so much. And another simple-ish, so-nice song on my mind is "Blue Spotted Tail" by Fleet Foxes. Just asking with the first line "Why in the night sky are the lights on?", why are we here? Why are the stars?

xChrisThePanda She is the New Thing by The Horrors I saw them at Glastonbury back in 2007, they were probably the oddest band I watched there, but they were awsome (:Was that still during their throwback horrorpunk thing or during their new Shoegazey thing?...they changed at some point. Either way I love them lol

'Technicolor' by Nurses is such a good song. I really have to check their other stuff out.
Umm, right now I've been listening to A LOT of Arthur Russell. I'm getting his bio this week too.
I've also been listening to The Drums EP quite a lot, because there's nothing better then surf-y music in winter!

Literally stuck on repeat ; Oh! The Grandeur by Andrew Bird. The whole album. Mixed with Frankie & The Heartstrings, and "Heartbeats" by The Knife, because I'm currently re-arranging the piece for some work :3

I've been listening to David Ackles a lot lately. I was a bit late on the uptake but now that I've finally discovered him I've latched on. Yes, and he's not indie. So shoot me.

I've been listening to Paul McCartney's Ram a ton this week ... it's like the last great thing he ever did, tbh. It's kind of comfort food to me, like aural mac 'n' cheese or something, haha.
The Horrors' "Sea Within A Sea" is gettin' a lot of play around here, especially when I'm homeworking. Aaaand Neu! '75. And Beach House.
I listened to "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush about a bazillion times today, because I had a loooooooolzy dream where the song figured in heavily.
