"Within a huge and ancient forest, a variety of creatures reside in a seemingly endless maze of lush green terrain and calming waters. The songs of birds fill the air while the ground is decorated in many different shapes of shadows created by the sun. Its warmth wrapping over the lands like a soft blanket while the large source of light rests in the middle of a clear, summer sky. Among the sounds of wild animals, a mostly silent river can be seen flowing through the center of the area, parting into streams as well as a lake just beyond the horizon of looming trees."

Rowan stretched as she stood up and hopped off the log she'd been lounging on. She'd been dozing in the sun for a good two hours at least. It was quite pleasant, with the sun glinting off the river and warming everything it touched. She gave herself a shake and scratched at her ear. Today felt like a lazy day. Which was fine, since she was still stuffed from her last meal. She'd managed to take down an old doe the day before yesterday and it was still keeping her fed. She glanced out across the river. It was a little on the low side, but not by much. Ever since the incident she'd been careful about the river... and water in general. She absolutely hated to get wet. She'd get close enough to drink, and she still enjoyed looking at it, but never again would she go swimming. Her den was well away from it and safely on high ground, just in case. Rowan yawned. She really should go check on the deer carcass to make sure it nothing had taken it while she'd been sleeping..... she yawned again. Then again, another nap sounded nice.

Spork Slowly spork's eyes flickered open and she could see the light shining off the water of the lake in front of her. She yawned and stretched as she got up and sleepily trotted to the lake to drink some water and wake herself up. As she got to the edge she looked down at her reflection noticing how she reminded herself of her father. She sighed, looked around to make sure she was safe, and drank some water thinking of how much she missed her parents, or more of how much she missed being in a pack. After drinking she looked around her stomache growling furiously since she hasnt eaten since a few days after her escape. Spotting a small rabbit a few feet away from her by a tree she crouched down and slowly crawled towards it being careful not to make a noise. Just as she got close she stepped on a twig and it snapped causeing the rabbits ears to perk up and look straight at her. It bolted and she ran after it going up the lake towards a river.

A large, dark figured loomed in the distance. It's long, shaggy fur shaking on the back of it's neck with every step it took. Now... This was a moose. The real character here; Chaesk, was starring at the moose with a watery mouth. She took a confident step forward, then quickly laid down. There's no WAY I can take it down on my own! she told herself in her mind. She licked her paws nervously, then stood again. She slowly stalked forward, her heart thudding in her chest. She was going to try... She was starving, and she had to eat something other than grass! She was no grazing animal, she was a PREDATOR. MEAT is what she craved. She lowered her head, slowly stalking up on the tall beast. It's ears flicked up, then turned its large head to look down at her, the male's antlers glaring in the sun. Seeing the wolf, so small, he simply turned around and took a few steps to the side to see her better. With the movement of the beast, so close to her, Chaesk instantly took off, spooking the moose and making it also run away. She ran for a good while, then stopped, panting. I'll never eat at this rate! Though, there were other options than big game like moose and caribou... Yet, rabbits and other small things never seemed to be around anymore.. She sighed and sat there, her slim body sulking in the morning sun. She sighed in resignation. "I need help..." Though, closer to the riverside, a large, black and white female stood, looking out at the lake with her head held high. A great reflection came from her orange eyes, seemingly glowing against her fur. The big female brute was known as Akuma. A killer, a fighter, and a wolf that nobody had ever gotten close to. She even killed her own brother just for bragging about the parents she never had. THinking of this even made her mad, as she bared her teeth and spit at the ground in anger. Her blood stained claws dug deep into the ground as she sat there. She was alone; Just like any other time in her life. At this point, she didn't care anymore. Her tongue slightly lolled out of her mouth. This normally happened when she had the urge to kill something. She scanned the lands, spotting a spooked moose about a hundred yards off. She grunted in amusement. In a second, she was gone, sprinting at high speeds towards the running moose. She looked like a blur, her tail flailing wildly behind her. A loud snarl came form the back of her throat as she leaped, her speed carrying her right to the back of the moose. She latched herself onto it's back, sticking her claws into the hind leg. The moose cried in agony and bucked, throwing her off. She darted to the side as a hoof thrust out at her, then leaped at the moose's side. This time, it was a quick, deep bite, before she let go and grasped somewhere else. This move was continuous, and confused the prey. The moose stomped down wherever she had just been, whereas she was already biting the bull somewhere else. She let out a loud snarl again, then leaped at his throat. First try, and she had missed the main target; That one special vein. She got thrown off by the moose's thrashing, and before she could get to her feet, the exhausted bull thrust his antlers at her, throwing her into the air. She wriggled in the air until she repositioned herself, diving right for the neck again. Of course, the moose moved, meaning she snatched it's shoulders in her jaws. She growled in irritation, slammed her paws; And claws, into it's throat, and pulled herself up to the neck, taking one final bite. The moose struggled, but she didn't let go. Everytime the muscles in the neck moved, her grip tightened. Eventually, her teeth met the vein, and the moose fell to the ground, Akuma jumping off before it landed on her. Her fur was stained in blood, the aroma of the substance making her eyes go wide and wild. She quickly dug into her kill, with a slightly battered body, and began to eat her morning meal. (Ooc: There! I promise to keep up with this RP. >:3)

Spork sped up as she saw the rabbit heading toward its hole underneath a tree hoping to catch it before it gets in. Trying all she could she just didnt have enough energy to catch up and as the rabbit went down the hole she crashed into the tree sending birds in it flying out from the shake of the tree. Spork sat there and shook her head when suddenly she heard the sound of an animal in distress and perked her ears looking at the direction it came from. She thought to herself and realized it was the sound of a moose and suddenly the smell of blood. Even though she was a yyoung olf her curiosity got the best of her and she trotted towards the smell when she suddenly saw another wolf, but this one was larger then her and as seen had more experience in catching prey. Feeling surprised to see another wolf after so long she rushed into a bush hoping she wasnt noticed for fear of a what can happen.

Akuma stopped dead while ripping meat off the rib of the moose. She lifted her head, licked her lips, then narrowed her eyes, flinging her head to look behind her. A loud, menacing snarl arose from the depths of her throat. "Get out here! Wind is against you, I can smell your scent!" she demanded, completely turning around and lowering her head, ready to dash out and attack whoever was in the bushes. One ear was turned backwards, however, just incase somebody tried to steal some meat from behind. The wind blew in her face, instantly bringing more of Spork's scent to her nose. She bared her teeth, tongue slightly sticking out in offence and dominance. Her face was stained with blood, only making her eyes seemingly glow more. She lowered her head even more, looking at the bushes from the top of her eyes. She could see her own blood stained fur above her eyes. She snapped her jaws a few times, showing whoever was in the bushes that they had better leave, or something dangerous was going to happen. She slowly licked more dripping blood from her lips, a menacing look in her eyes, as if she was saying 'This'll be your blood.'

Spork jumped at first and then walked out of the bushes slowly in hopes to show that she didn't want to fight. "I heard the moose and smelt the blood in the wind...I did not know there were other wolves in this area so I hadn't expected to bump into another wolf. I thought it could have just been one of the humans, they like to hunt in the woods here. I'm sorry if I disturbed you." she explained calmly and examined the wolfs kill looking at the large moose shocked that Akuma was uninjured. She then thought of her own hunting skills and felt a little pathetic especially after not even being able to catch a rabbit.

Akuma simply grinned. She raised her head, hackles raised to show that she wasn't backed down or calmed. She walked forward, an eyebrow raised. "Human's shall never step upon these lands again. Not on my watch." she snapped, taking one more step to stand above Spork. She grinned, her blood covered teeth glinting brightly in the light. "You're a pathetic little thing... Aren't you? Half starved, scrawny.. I'm surprised you've lasted this long." Narrowing her eyes in a self feeling of high ranking, Akuma simply looked down at Spork, then back at her own body. She was nice and full bellied, while Spork wasn't near that plump. It only made her feel even more powerful than the smaller female. Easier contact to the bones, if ever need be. They would easily snap within her jaws. She let out a grunt of triumph. She seemed to be the strongest wolf around... She could easily form a pack of her own. Her bright orange eyes stared down at Spork, awaiting her response. Just wish to yourself that you dont make the wrong move in this game...

"Well with the way you took down that moose I don't think they would want to even throw a pebble here. And I'm only scrawny cause I was never taught to hunt anything larger then rabbits. Even then I didn't get taught much." explained Spork looking away feeling sort of ashamed of herself for not being a good hunter as most wolves are. As she felt Akuma standing above her she could see how confident she was and wished she was good enough to have that confidence. "Well I guess I'll go..I umm...have things to do" she said nervously while thinking that all she really needed to do was find food. Suddenly her stomache growled furiously and Spork felt embarassed since she could already tell that with how thin she was she kept making Akuma feel more and more powerful.

Eirwyn
The wind cascaded over the crouching wolves form, tickling the hair on her back, shoulders, and flirted with her ears causing them to lay back, slightly aggitated. She was a wolf, not matter how slight her size, and how much her apperance resembled that of an arctic fox. She watched the pheasant before her with two colored eyes, odd for her breed. One a dark brown, near black, the other a pale blue-white with the dark pit seemingly jumping out of the middle.
Her name was Eirwyn. Atleast, thats what she had been called since birth. She took a few steps forward, crawling across the forest floor. She was hungry, and the pheasant seemed to simply be preening infront of her. Flaunting itself. Look at me i'm fat and plump and your hungry! She gritted her teeth slightly. She wasn't starved by no means, simply hungry, having gone a few days without a proper meal would do that for you. So today had been the day she went to hunt.
The muscles in her leg jumped slightly and she bolted over the ground, quickly. Her paws hardly made a sound. She lunged towards the bird, hitting it from the air with her black toed forepaws, and clamped her jaws over its head.
She yelped though, when the pheasant bit her inner cheek, blood flowed into her mouth, and she bit down, seperating head from neck in a single bite, and stepped back, watching as the commical body flapped its wings and fell over a few times, before accepting its head was gone and death had been delt. She spat out the head with a grimace and pounced on the bird, tearing the feathers from the body with expertise. Bird as a pray was no stranger to her. She ripped into the flesh of the beast and laid down, her paws over her kill, wary eyes forward and ears perked as she ate.

She was sleeping, even though it was day. Moonlight wasn't lazy, she just preferred to sleep in the day and be active at night. That way she could be away from most annoying humans. They were too noisy, in her opinion. And those guns... she had seen what they could do to wolves- even cougars and bears didn't mess with gun wielding humans. She was woken up by a noise. A brown bear was invading her cave in the sinkhole. great, she thought. It probably has cubs. What a lucky surprise. The bear snorted loudly, to rouse any animal that might be in the cave. She heard this, yet remained still. She opened her orange near red eye slightly and looked at it. It was female, but with no cubs. at least she had a chance to keep her cave, now. Act as if I have puppies. she thought. Then she might leave me alone. With almost no noise at all, she leaped in front of the bear, growling and snarling.

Dark water swirled all around, up and down no longer existed. Time seemed to slow to years even as the water rushed downstream faster and faster. Such an element was to grate a match for the black body of a wolf that was dragged farther and farther down stream. The wolf was slammed into rocks and tossed around as if she were nothing more than a rag doll. She had no air left in her lungs but that didn't matter to her. All that mattered was the body of the small pup near her. The she wolf forced her leaden legs to work, propelling her faster. Angling herself carefully, she caught the pup's scruff in her teeth. Through her darkening vision she saw the shiny black coat in the dark water that matched her own. Even as she was slammed against another rock she didn't release her pup. Then the next moment her her head and her pup were above water. She coughed and tried to cry out, but her cry was cut short as she was dragged back under the dark surface. t must have all been a game for the river.

Noticing that Akuma was no longer paying attention, Spork quickly ran off as far as she can go before Akuma caught on and chased her. Just as she knew she was safe she ducked behind a bush for a rest. Then she heard rushing water and could have sworn that she almost hear a cough coming from it. She quickly went to the waters edge and looked in the water to see another wolf and her pup. Feeling surprised she quickly leapt into the water and softly bit onto the wolfs scruff, pulling her above water and swimming her over towards the waters edge hoping not to also get dragged down. She quickly leapt out of the water and pulled up the female wolf and her pup. After panting for a few seconds she asked the wolf, "Are you alright? Is your pup alright?"

((My main account is acting up, so I might be posting on my side account, Wolf afar, for a while.... that is if someone lets that account into the guild...))
Onii lay there unmoving, then suddenly she lifted her head slightly; coughing up the water that had made it's way into her lungs. She wheezed, struggling to breath. But that wasn't important. Slowly she moved closer to the small pup. not yet old enough to even leave the den. "I-I-It's a-alright K-Kar. Y-You're safe n-n-now." She wheezed weakly. She didn't seem to have noticed Spork yet. "I-It's a-alright now s-sweetie." She whinned nudjing the small pup with her nose. She seemd convinced that the pup would move. "K-Kar?" She whined. He nudged the pup again, desperation and terror began to take hold. "K-K-KAR!?!" Her body shuddered, still to weak for the exertion. no. NO. He couldn't be dead! Not her pup!
