※ тӈε sεαsoɳs ※indentindentSpring indentSpring is the kind of person you either love or hate. Her enthusiasm can be a gift or just plain annoying. She tends to make the best of every situation, being an optimist to her deathbed. Life has always been good to her, well off with better than average grades and looks. Spring can be a tinsy bit naive when it comes to people, they often take advantage of her because of this. Some may ask why should they trust others, Spring on the other hand trusts automatically, believing in the good of the person, giving them second and third chances before finally learning. indentShe currently has a thing for Winter. She wants to 'fix' him, help him remove that prickly shell. However, since two years ago she's been on and off with Summer. And to make things worse, her best friend Autumn started dating Winter. But Spring never said anything about liking Winter so Autumn can't be blamed for stealing her man. Spring's happy for her friend, Autumn rarely ever gets boyfriends. She wouldn't ever want to ruin their relationship because of some guy, even if Spring liked that guy a lot.
indentindentSummer indentSummer is the dare devil out of the four seasons. He's always looking for a cheap adrenaline rush and insane thrills. Summer is the party animal of the town, you'll never catch him doing something dull. Everything is a challenge for them. Kind of like Spring. They get together and break up constantly, but she's the only girl that Summer has honestly wanted and cared about. It's the fact that she always slips from his grasps that makes him curious about her. indentAn extreme desire for adventure leads him on. He's always trying new things, even if they are absolutely crazy. Sometimes its to impress Spring. Summer is the athletic, popular boy in school who gets all of the girls that he wants. Spring has the only one who's said no to him and he likes the chase. He hasn't realized that his feelings were honest for her though. indentSummer has known Winter’s family for years and he's aware of his heart problems. Though the two are from the opposite ends of the spectrum, they get along well enough. Mostly because Summer’s father is the doctor in charge of Winter and through that Summer has become Winter’s guardian in a way.
indentindentAutumn indentAutumn is a cool headed girl that you can always come to for good advice. She's honest and painfully loyal to friends, and the kind of person that forgives and forgets. However, there's one person that she has no patience for, Summer. Autumn hates how he keeps on toying with her best friend. Plus, she knows how he's like. Though she's never told Spring, on a vacation years back before she knew Summer, they hooked up. It was partially because he got her ridiculously drunk, out of her senses, and he slept with her. The worst and the best thing is that Summer doesn't even remember her. indentSince then, she's bit her tongue and gave Spring the best relationship advice she could, trying to be impartial that it was Summer she was helping out too. Taking some of Spring’s advice, Autumn focused in on herself and even got a boyfriend, Winter. Her relationship with him is just where it should be. They both aren't very touchy feely people and they respect each other. However, Autumn doesn't feel like she's mad in love with Winter, though there was a possibility it could happen. indentShe uses too much logic and things have to be rational for her to understand. Autumn is a brilliant girl with a bit of a maternal instinct. Protecting the people she cares about always come before herself. Even if people don't like her, they honor the fact that she's reserved. However, though many people don't ever witness it, Autumn has a nasty temper under all that layers of calmness and reason.
indentindentWinter indentWinter puts out a cold front. The quiet type. A lot of girls swoon over him because he's mysterious, but in reality he's just like a little kid. Through his years in the hospital, he's become spoiled and emotional. No ones ever said no to him, he gets everything from his parents that he wants. Winter’s family has known of his heart problems since he was a baby and for the majority of his life he's been in the hospital. indentDue to his inexperience in society Winter is a bit awkward in some situations, especially when it comes to girls. He's personally surprised as to how he got a girlfriend, Autumn. But he doesn't feel like he needs to impress her, which makes the relationship calming. They haven't done anything besides hanging out casually. Winter doesn't love Autumn, but he's comfortable with her and that's good enough for him. She doesn't know the childish side of him. indentBecause of his heart problems, Winter cannot play any sports though he's naturally athletic, just like Summer. He's jealous of his family friend. It pisses him off to no end that his heart is so weak; it's the one thing that his family's money cannot buy him. Winter hasn't experienced any of the child factors of his life, leaving him stuck in it. He's never been able to participate in any activities except scholarly, thus his studies has placed him at the top of the class. indentAnother thing that presses on his nerves is his girlfriend's best friend, Spring. He just finds her overall annoying with her peppiness and 24/7 smile. Winter doesn't see what Summer sees in her but he thinks it might be an amusing way to beat him out at something by fooling around with her. After all, her infatuation is obvious to him. The only thing stopping him is Autumn, but is losing her worth beating Summer? He doesn't want to hurt his current girlfriend, just Summer.

※ тӈε cӈαɳgεs iɳ тӈε тяεε ※indentindentThe Plot indentAs Spring sat bored out of her mind in the Summer, an idea popped into her head. Wouldn't it be soooooooo much fun to go on a trip with Autumn? But... All Summer her best friend has been hanging out with her boyfriend, Winter. She would've invited Winter... but that'd make Spring the third wheel. Annnnd we all know that isn't much fun. But this trip wouldn't be to her beach house in Malibu, it'd be to some small town. But where? Spring continued to wonder, allowing herself to fantasize of all the possibilities and suddenly, Summer popped into her mind. Good 'ol life of the party Summer. With him, it'd be even. Even if it was some sort of group date trip, Spring was sure if she explained to him that it wasn't that way he'd believe her. Zero awkwardness there! indentBut what about the destination? Spring sat on her bed and pondered on this. It had to be some place where everything was just a walking distance apart but it had to be some place to remember too. Now hmmm... There were a ton of places that weren't too shabby but they were bland. Finally, the light bulb shone over Spring's head and she squeeled in excitement. She had thought of the best place ever. indentThey could stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island! Everything was a walking distance apart there, it even had a movie theatre and a bunch of other things! Eight mile bike-rides, horse back riding, a ton of totally awesome fudge, a haunted house... Oh gosh, it was perfect! They could just take a ferry back to the mainland too and go to the beach there. Plus, she was sure that her parents would be willing to book them a flight to good 'ol Detroit and even rent a car for them. indentBubbly with excitement, Spring picked up her phone and began texting away, the clicking sound reflecting her giddiness.

I was the first born, I have a younger sister named Jacklyn, but she was cast as a movie star at a young age. I don't see her very much. My parents are both very successful, my mother a music professor at Oxford [my sister is doing a saga of movies being filmed in Europe], and my father is a Lawyer.
From a young age I've been pretty independent, I mean I always had friends. I did commercials until I was six, I still talk to some of my friends from that part of my life. My parents had the option of sending me away to a boarding school for most of my life, thankfully my mother's convincing enough to get my dad to let me stay. I still love my dad, even though we don't see eye to eye all the time. But now here I am, going on and off with Summer...but all I really want is to break through Winter....Winter...that'd be a challenge... @Reks Solheim + + + Summer = 19 >>:: Me, Myself, and I :: Well, it really depends on who you ask. Some say I'm a jackass and some love me but later think I'm a douche! You pick, really. Okay, okay. It's really not like that. I just tend to rub some people the wrong way with my personality and girls tend to like it until we break up. I really don't understand it either. Pshaw. I can be pretty obnoxious when I want to be and I guess I use sarcasm too much.
I tend to do reckless things. What can I say? Life's more fun with some adrenaline. If someone dares me, I take it as a challenge and I will do it unless it's something completely retarded like jumping into a spike-filled coffin thing. We only live life once, so why not enjoy it and get the most out of every second? I don't want to look back when I'm old and wrinkly, wondering why I didn't have the guts to do something. >>:: Love it/Hate it + Athletics + Liveliness + Concerts x Injuries x Sweets x Allergies >>:: Living it up :: I was born into a normal family with normal relatives in a rather normal place. Isn't that exciting? My life hasn't been traumatized by anything and I'd be spewing bull s**t if I said it was. I was a content child. Nobody abused me, teased me, none of my relatives died, I was just a normal kid. I'm not some tragedy story and I'm damn satisfied about it. Who likes a sob story anyhow?
I'm considered one of the more "popular" kids in my school, but seriously, what does that word even mean? That people tend to dislike you because you seem to be having more fun than everyone else? I really don't understand why people would want to be categorized as it. It's just a name. I wouldn't try to be popular if I wasn't, I'm just 'me' and people just happen like 'me'. Seriously, I don't care.
Oh, so you've heard about that? Yeah, I have a thing for Spring. And yeah, I look over Winter like he's my little brother. What's wrong with that? I like Spring and Winter's grown on me like some sort of fungus. In a good way though. I like his friendship, though he seems to be a little... I dunno, pissed at me 24/7? Either way, feeling responsible once in a while is actually nice. The fact that my dad's Winter's doctor doesn't make a difference anymore. I'd talk to him either way. @ Amity Lin + + + [Autumn] = [19]>>:: Me, Myself, and I::I'm the kind of girl that finds it hard to hold a grudge or hate on others. For me, it's much easier to just accept, to forgive and forget. If you spilled some paint on me, I would be cool with it. And even if you did something ridiculous and drastic, harassing my friends for example, I would forgive you eventually, a long while... but eventually.
I can adapt to pretty much any situation and keep my emotions under control. I guess you could say I would be the one helping everyone calm down and get out during a house fire instead of running and screaming hysterically like many people tend to do. And if a friend needed help in any kind of circumstance, I'm usually the one who gives the advice and comfort. As long as I am able to think rationally, which I am at least 98% of the time, I am confident that I can get through any obstacle.
A lot people tell me that I'm too innocent for someone my age. I never really understand subtle perverse jokes that are supposedly flying around everywhere or understand why drama happens when it does. I can't seem to wrap my head around those strong impulses and emotions that society seems to experience almost every waking moment. Perhaps I keep to myself too much, but I believe that that isn't too bad of a status to keep.>>:: Love it/Hate it+ Ice Cream, specifically gelato+ My family and friends+ Pop/Rock and Classical/Instrumental Musicx Summerx Alcoholx Watching dramas>>:: Living it up:: My parents were artists and loved to travel, but slowed down their schedule when they had me. I was born in a small town somewhere in the United States' East Coast during a time when my parents were still obsessed with Venetian architecture. And that's how the name "Amity" was derived; it was something that sounded Italian enough to them and meant "friendship", so it seemed to fit rather well.
I grew up normally, as society would put it, though it was a bit isolated. I never made any close friends in school, but was able to keep good relations with everyone. It wasn't until I started high school that my parents decided to move to a bigger place, an actual city. In a way, it was a big step forward and also a big regret. In the summer of my move, which was sometime near the end of sophomore year, I decided to let loose and go to a party a classmate invited me to. It was fun... until my drink got spiked. I was hanging out with a pretty cute guy at that moment and apparently fell in love with him along with the taste of alcohol. Things were a blur from there; I remember a bed, a lot of heat and fast breathing, and me waking up with that guy's face in front of mine the next morning and our clothes on the floor. I hated myself so much then.
I moved in and saw that guy again, but he didn't seem to remember me. My hatred of myself turned into hatred towards him, the one that took my purity away. But he was going out with a new friend that I had made, so I try to keep my mouth shut about anything that happened in the past and live a peaceful life with everyone else. @ Ray Silver. + + + [Winter] = [21]>>:: Me, Myself, and I:: I don't usually get worked up about things, so people tend to think I'm "cool." In actuality, I am easily jealous and sometimes immature. I don't usually show it, but some things bother me so much, like that guy, [[SUMMER]]. I don't like being weak, so I hate having a heart condition. >>:: Love it/Hate it+ Music + Rain + Spaghetti x Weaknessx Coffeex Superficiality >>:: Living it up:: I grew up with a bad heart, so my childhood was spent in and out of the hospital. My parents have plenty of money, and they worry about me a lot. They rarely denied any of my wishes when I was younger, as they couldn't know if it was my last. I don't talk a whole lot, so being around people who do can make me feel uncomfortable. There's this one guy who I really hate, but otherwise most people are fine. I have a girlfriend, and being with her relaxes me.

※ Rєкs Soſӈєiм ※ I've got the gift of one liners And you've got the curse of curves And with this gift I compose words And the question that comes forward
Are you perspiring from the irony? Or sweating to these lyrics? And this just in You're a dead fit But my wit won't allow it
The inside lingo had me at hello indentReks slipped out his phone and checked once more, it was the only proof he carried that supported his sanity. The thought that his ex-girlfriend, Anika, would invite him to a trip up to Mackinac with her best friend and Amity's boyfriend was outlandish, so when Reks received a text from her saying that exact thing... Well, he thought it was a joke. But the message was still in it's place, declaring everything just as he remembered. Plus, Anika reassured him by booking a plane and sending him the ticket. But still... What the hell? Why would Anika invite me, Amity and Ray to some trip? It screams some huge double date... Damn, that girl gives some mixed signals. A sigh emerged from his throat. He'd just have to live with it now, after all, Reks already agreed. Or rather, Ray agreed and his father contacted Reks's dad and insisted that he came along too. Just to keep Ray "company". But... he didn't mind it now. Sure, he was basically there to babysit Ray but it was more than that now. Reks realized the possibilities, maybe Anita wanted to get back together with him? A grin appeared on his face just at the thought. He was really anticipating this.
indentToday was the day. In approximately thirty minutes they were supposed to meet each other at the airport, wait around for like two hours withering from the boredom and then practically die from it on the eight hour plane-ride. But that's what you get for going practically across the U.S. of A. California was a long ways from Michigan. Who even wants to visit Michigan anyway? Aren't people coming down here for a vacation? Where it's warm and... not so freakin' seasonal? At least they wouldn't have to deal with the packed beaches because of it.
indentReks packed his suitcase into the back of his car, Anita was pretty vague about the duration of the trip so he kinda overdid it. Well, rather, his mom overdid it. She packed like every single thing for every single possibility imaginable. Plus, on top of all that his mom took into account that they were staying in the Grand Hotel, a place where they only served people that were dressed in their nice spiffy clothes. That means like, dress pants and shirts for the dudes and skirts, dresses for the girls. All that amazingly stiff stuff. But Reks knew that they wouldn't be contained to just eating there at the buffet, Anika told him that they would take the ferry back to Mackinaw City once in a while for some things. Another thing she was vague about... Reks had a feeling that she wanted to keep it a surprise for them.
indentThe drive didn't take that long but his parents practically shoved him out of the door. Reks arrived around fifteen minutes earlier than Anika's scheduled meeting time, so he decided relished the dry feeling in his throat as he sat awkwardly on one of the benches, his black suit-case near eclipsing him. As his patience thinned, Reks began to pick at a loose string near the bottom of his gray Affliction v-neck. Earlier today, he dressed himself in comfy clothes, which explained the shirt, which was soft cotton, and his favorite dark wash jeans. Reks just hoped that Anika had the sense too, he knew that she could go over the top with her outfits. But they were talking about an EIGHT hour plane ride here. All together, they'd be spending a grand total of TEN hours lounging around. No one would be wanting to wear a skirt through that.
indentRummaging through his pockets, finally through with the uneventful entrance to the airport, Reks pulled out his iPod Touch. It's only 6:12am... I have a good fifteen minutes before anyone else arrives, he realized, puffing the air out of his lungs. But there was only so much All That Remains or Hollywood Undead could do for someone as bored as he was and after a short while, Reks found himself playing Slime Ball, kicking the asses of all the other colored CPG slimes, enjoying the mournful expression they held on their... facy/body? Oh well... as the little ball bounced on their side of the court. Hahaha, victory is mine...

╔═════════════════════════╗ Trust in me, trust in me Don't pull away Trust in me, trust in me I'm just trying to keep this together Cause I could do worse and you could do better ╚═════════════════════════╝ Anika twirled around in the on suite bathroom she had connected to her bedroom. She always had a thing for having her own bathroom, so of course her mother told her father to make sure it happened. Looking over at the digital clock, it was 4:00 am, she had time, and she was going to need it. The trip was very spontaneous, but she felt the inner workings of something amazing! Looking at herself in the mirror she looked down at the different bottles she had laid out around her. She managed to get her younger sister to wake up for her, she was going to do something amazing - in lure of....new beginnings. Holding up the first bottle she passed it back to her younger sister, they were basically twins divided by three years, it was freaky. She was just so lucky that her mother and her sister were home for a week ....she was even more lucky because the girl was suffering from jet lag.
"Hey Amy...Do you think this is going to look good? Oh you know what, I don't care! It's going to be new! This entire trip is going to be new beginnings, I"m so excited I can barely breath!"
Anika jumped up and down and clapped her hands, while her sister just shook her head and yawned and pushed her down into a seat. An hour and a half later, Anika was back in front of the mirror, admiring her new locks. She decided to dye her hair a soft black, almost dark brown, and then throw in forest green streaks. She thought it looked amazing. She decided she was going to adhere to the advice of her worldly mother and dressed in something, more casual, pulling on a pair of straight leg dark denim jeans she pulled on a dark green spaghetti strapped tank top. Anika giggled because she realized that her hair ws an amazing accessory to the entire outfit.
It neared 6:15 when Anika arrived at the airport, she figured she'd get there early and make sure she could make sure everyone stayed in a group, she was a**l like that. But once she went through the first set of doors she was amazed to see Reks was already there. Her heart leaped a beat. It was awkward enough convincing him to come, although fun, but she figured he would have been the last to arrive. Seeing this as a good first sign for their trip she quickly ran over, she held a large red suitcase in one hand, had a carry on hanging off of her shoulder, and in her other arm was obviously a suitcase specially for the dresses she packed. She liked having options...she always loved options.
"Reks...I didn't expect to see you so soon! Oh I'm so happy you got here first, now I"m not here all alone."
She sat down beside the man and pulled out her own I-Touch and switched the song to 'Whatcha say' by Jason Darulo, her emerald green ear buds around her neck, one was dangling over her earlobe, so she could hear the music and talk to Reks at the same time
"Hey so thanks so much for coming! I'm sure your going to have a blast, I've been planning this all night! I didn't get a wink of sleep! I'm so excited! I know we're going to have a lot of fun"
At first Anika didn't think that Reks was going to show up. They had gone through one of their break ups again and in all honesty Anika didn't like it one bit. It was the only thing that brought out a negative reaction in her. While she wanted to break through the cold icy shell or Ray, she knew that something was going to go down between her best friend and the man. So being the bigger woman that she was, not that her friend wasn't mature...she just didn't know....ANYWAY, she decided that being friends with Ray was good enough for her for now. Not that she didn't want Reks back badly...she felt confused on the matter. She knew the trip would help her see the light of the truth...whatever that was.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• A m i t y • Lin • -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each time you try, gonna get just a little bit better. Each day you climb, one more step up the ladder. Amity blinked her tired eyes and turned them towards the window with a bit of difficulty, her drowsiness still having the power to hold her down like chains. The road was still passing by, though the scenery outside was that of the airport. "Ugh..." she mumbled as she stretched as much as she could in the passenger seat of her father's small Smart car. She had always been the one that knocks out automatically after taking her seat in a vehicle, or at least a vehicle without someone that strikes a conversation up every waking second. She took a peek at the clock under the radio; she was a bit early. It was at least ten minutes before the meeting time, excluding the amount of time it took to check in.
Amity's nap had pretty much left her by now, so she turned her head towards the back of the car, where her mother's old, but still very sturdy, canvas suitcase sat filled with more than a week's amount of clothes and boasted room for more. Of course, a large sports bag was folded up inside of it with the clothes, just in case Amity needed it. On top of the suitcase was yet another hefty container of sorts; her favorite canvas bag. It was a gift from her parents when they were visiting the art museums of France, so it was rather fashionable. The bag had a plain white base color and was splashed in pastel colors that formed ornate flowers and other simple patterns, which suited her tastes well enough; at least it wasn't something crazy like the other souvenirs her parents got for her. In the bag, she kept her small collection of items that could kill time: her PSP for all her media needs, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown because she hadn't finished it at home, a digital camera for memories, a sketch book and colored pencil set her mother made her bring, and her phone and PSP chargers. Amity patted her pocket; her phone didn't slip out during the ride here to her relief.
After parking, her father helped her get her belongings out and bid her farewell at the gate before check-in. She lugged her suitcase down the many hallways and finally found the terminal the whole group was supposed to meet at... only to find that Reks was there before her. Fortunately, Anika was there as well. Her best friend's presence was a very good thing when Reks is in the same room as herself; she hated him with a burning passion. Thief. Jerk, the nice version of her true word. Someone she wished would disappear from her life... And her best friend's on-and-off boyfriend. If it wasn't for Anika, Amity would have torn him apart by now. But she had to be mature, to be a good person for those around her so as not to hurt them if her hatred started to slip from her control. This emotion is probably her strongest one, which is never a good thing. But Amity is a very rational person; she can reign it all in and plaster on a smile for the happiness of her friend.
"Looks like I wasn't the only early one," Amity greeted energetically as she got closer to the two others that arrived before her. She set her things in front of her seat, the seat beside Anika, and almost sighed at the scene. They both had their iTouch-es out, the girl listening to music and the guy seemingly playing a game. Hopefully their activities weren't loud enough to block out her voice. She relaxed in the bench and slumped back, sliding down enough to put her head on the top of the backing and stare at the ceiling.
Thinking back to the iTouch couple/ex-couple next to her, she realized that she was probably the least trendy out of all of them. Amity had on a simple pair of dark-wash, boot-cut jeans and a plain gray v-neck that clung to her not-so-dynamic figure. Her hair was straight and naturally black, though it was slowly turning brown from all of California's sunlight. She wore some cheap flip-flops and had a navy-blue Aeropostale jacket stashed away in her bag, the jacket probably being the most expensive item of clothing she would wear today. I'm so not a city person yet, Amity complained to herself and breathed deeply, hoping it wouldn't seem too much like a sigh. Oh well, it's not like it would do anything for me anyways. It's a whole new world we live in, it's a whole new way to see. It's a whole new place, with a brand new attitude.

[indent] Ray had lain in bed thinking for a long time the night before the trip. It really had surprised him, to be invited on this trip. He hadn't really gone anywhere like that in a long time. In fact, it had taken a while to convince his parents. They said yes, of course. As usual. He would have been a lot happier if Reks wasn't coming. However, he did think that this could be a good chance to get at him. That guy just floated through life, oblivious to the troubles of others. He'd never been held back by anything. But how to go about it? It was those kinds of thoughts that kept Ray awake.
[indent]He regretted it in the morning. The first time his alarm went off, he slept through it. By the time he managed to wake up, the time was already 6:05. Cursing quietly, he jumped out of bed and pulled on a shirt and jeans. After looking in the mirror, he decided that it ought to be fine, as they were only going to be on the plane all day. May as well be comfortable. "Why did no one wake me up?" he complained as he rushed down the stairs. When there was no answer, he sighed and grabbed his suitcase of stuff. His dad was probably already working, and his mom never woke up before eight or nine if she could avoid it. He left a quick note to his mother, explaining that he'd call her when they got there. Then, he made sure he had everything together and was out the door.
[indent]Ray had to wait a few minutes before he was able to catch a cab. It was already 6:19. If there was no traffic, he would still be able to make it there on time. "To the airport please, quickly." He settled back into the cracked leather seat without buckling the seatbelt. As he watched the familiar scenery pass, he pulled out his iPod and started listening to music. He let his mind go blank and flow along with the familiar sounds. There was no need to get unduly panicked about his lateness, although it was embarrassing. Finally, the cab arrived and he paid the driver. It was only a few minutes past 6:30, but it was obvious that everyone had been waiting for him.
[indent] "Sorry I'm late. I overslept," he explained when he saw them. It didn't quite seem like the trip was off the the most wonderful start. Reks and Anika were both fiddling with their iPods, and Amity was just sitting. Apparently Anika had dyed her hair. It was unique, to say the least. He put away his own iPod and dropped off his carry on next to Amity. "I'm just going to check in," he said. Luckily, there wasn't too long of a line so the process wasn't difficult. After he finished checking in, he went back next to Amity and sat down. It seemed like they were in for a long day.

※ Rєкs Soſӈєiм ※ I've got the gift of one liners And you've got the curse of curves And with this gift I compose words And the question that comes forward
Are you perspiring from the irony? Or sweating to these lyrics? And this just in You're a dead fit But my wit won't allow it
The inside lingo had me at hello indentThrough his music, Reks caught the sound of the automatic door sliding open. Glancing up for a split second, he saw a girl with green hair. Looking back down, he continued to play his game. Wait a second. His head shot up, locking on the young woman. It was Anika. The green haired beauty was her. His chest warmed and a smile automatically welcomed her. Because of this drastic change, he barely recognized her. Reks wasn't sure what to think of her hair color, there was something unique about it. He didn't quite mind it but it was an acquired taste. Plus, it'd take some time to change his mental image of her. While they were going out, he liked to run his hands through her soft brunette hair. From the smell the breeze carried, Anika just recently dyed it.
indentThrough the years, Reks got over the nervousness while around her. It got to the point where he thought Anika was perfect. There wasn't a thing about her that he couldn't stand, unlike when they first met. Maybe it was because he was able to overlook her flaws to really enjoy her. Reks thought the new style suited her, but then again, she always looked great. Even in her "comfort" clothing. The green complimented her eyes, both from her shirt and her hair. The tank clung close to her body while the jeans accentuated every curve. As realization struck him, Reks looked away from Anika. She wouldn't let him touch her anymore, they weren't going out. But maybe this trip would change it, he hoped it would. For some reason he couldn't get over this girl.
indentA chuckle came from his throat. Anika was the kind of people who disliked being alone with a passion. She wanted to go with the crowd or she felt awkward when alone. Reks was just inferring based on her personality and actions. That was okay though. He didn't partically like to be alone too. From the corner of his eyes, he caught movement. She pulled out her iPod Touch, mimicking his earlier actions. A crooked smile appeared on his face. He could feel the enthusiasm radiating from her body before she even stated how absolutely thrilled she was to be going on the trip. He should have guessed that Anika wouldn't get any shut eye, this vacation was like her child. She planned everything out and knowing her, it all needed to be perfect. Anika wouldn't have it any other way. "Yeah, it's going to be one hell of a break." Reks agreed, his light blue eyes catching hers. "Thanks for inviting me."
indentHe was beginning to become more and more aware that his ex just invited him to keep herself from being a third wheel. Amity and Ray were a couple and would be awkward if Anika was just there. Oddly enough, he was coping with it rather well. She made no sign that led Reks to believe that she wanted him back besides this trip. But even then, she made it pretty clear, whether she tried to hide it or not, that she wanted everything they did to be together. And "together" meaning her, him, Amity, and Ray. In her texts explaining the trip, she used "friends" a lot too.
indentReks's eyes wandered back to his iPod Touch for several minutes before he heard another voice. Glancing up, he saw Amity, Anika's best friend. For years now, Reks caught onto little things that supported the fact that Amity didn't like him at all. He wasn't quite sure what it was about either, but his guesses were the fact that he was with her best friend or that she honestly didn't like his personality or reputation when it came to girls. This was another thing he learned to cope with. Amity wasn't openly mean towards him and he didn't make any effort to make her hate him more. It seemed like they just acknowledged each others presence and just lived with it.
indentRay by default was the last person to show. Reks knew of his friend's heart problems since a young age. "Hey dude, it's fine." Reks jumped up from the bench and slung his suitcase onto his back. Since Ray was here and checked in, they could finally be on their way to the terminal, dropping off their luggage before heading in. Every few minutes, a speaker would echo through the airport, either requesting that so-and-so would come to the entrance or giving final warnings for plane rides. After a good two hours of light sleep on one of the chairs, Reks woke to find one of the stewardesses announcing that the flight to Michigan would be now loading. He knew that he seemed to be pretty anti-social but Reks was the kind of guy who slept past noon. 6am was damn early for him, especially in the summer. After everyone loaded the plane, Reks went to his designated seat and sat down. Luckily, it was closest to the window to the left. Each row on the plane held six seats, a space for the cart separating the left side from right.
indentReks immediately assumed Anika would be placed in the same grouping as him but he watched as she filled the left side window seat. Ray sat next to her. Which means... His eyes glanced at Amity, I'll be sleeping through this plane-ride. He doubted that Anika's best friend would really be up to conversing with him. From where he sat, he could feel the resentment towards him. The only thing that saved him from her was the fact that Ray was also near the aisle which allowed them to converse easily. Once everyone was settled in, the plane's engines roared and once in the air, the pilot gave the green light to take out their electronics again.

╔═════════════════════════╗ Trust in me, trust in me Don't pull away Trust in me, trust in me I'm just trying to keep this together Cause I could do worse and you could do better ╚═════════════════════════╝ Anika's eyes lingered on Ray as he finally showed up. She wasn't upset by his lateness, in reality he really wasn't that late. Once she checked in all of her bags and finished going through all of the security checks and got onto the plane Anika realized one small flaw in her plan. When she saw Ray sit down next to her she felt a little guilty for her seating arrangements. She put an entire couple between her and Reks.... She knew she made the arrangement so that Reks would feel more comfortable, but then she suddenly realized that she had put Reks beside her best friend...Which would cause a situation that would upset two of her really good friends. Deciding to take charge of the action she stood up from her window seat and smiled.
"Hey Ray...Umm...Do you wanna switch places with Reks? I mean that way he's not beside Amity? I mean he'll still be beside her, but you'll be on the other side of her and I know that Amity loves leaning that way"
She really didn't know if her friend had a preference of which way she wanted to lean to sleep for the plan ride. But she knew that if she switched Reks and Ray around, even though she wanted to learn more about Ray, that the problem would be solved. The last thing she wanted was to make things awkward from the gecko...although as she sat down and peered out the window she felt as though she made it even worse...by pointing out the fact that the pair didn't get along. She looked over at Amity and sighed
"I'm sorry Am...but think of it this way, now you don't have to share Ray with me"
She tried to make it sound a whole lot better than what the situation was. Getting herself comfortable she pulled her large black purse from underneath the seat in front of her and started to pull out her cellphone and ipod, glancing out of the window from time to time. She enjoyed flying, mostly if she had the window seat. Although she made use of the time regardless of where she sat. Stretching she let out a small yawn and realized that not sleeping all night was going to catch up to her.
"Blah I'm tired"
She smiled and looked beside her, wondering if Reks and Ray were going to switch places. She didn't mind either way , she just wanted all of her friends to be happy. That's what she was aiming for, complete bliss.

[indent]The walk through security was relatively uneventful, although nobody talked much. For his part, Ray felt too tired for the effort. He wondered idly what was going on at home. His mother was probably still sleeping. She would be mad that he hadn't woken her to say goodbye. She was so excited about the trip. For her, it was all "My little baby's growing up," and other such sentiments. She was probably going to call him immediately, although he had told her that they would be in the air for a while. She was so clingy, just because he had never spent that much time away from home before. It wasn't like he was a kid, anyway. He just hadn't really had the chance, before.
[indent]Ray looked at his seat when they boarded the plane. Next to Anika. He sighed. At least he wasn't near Reks, but he wasn't sure about sitting next to her. It would've been better to be near only Amity, but he could see why Anika had arranged it this way. She and Reks weren't going out, at least not right now. It probably would have been awkward for her, too. He had just sat down when he heard her ask if he'd like to move. He was a bit surprised. It was nice of her to sacrifice herself, but it would have been easier if they had sat this way from the beginning. Changing made it more difficult, as there wasn't much space to move around anyway.
"I'll change with you. Are you sure that's okay? We should ask Reks as well."
[indent]He didn't think Reks would refuse, but it was better to be safe just in case. And it would have been rude to just assume. While he waited to see, he sat down in his original seat with his bag on his lap. He had brought some books to read, and once they were allowed he could listen to his iPod. Also, if Amity wanted to talk they could do that as well. She might want to sleep, or talk to Anika. Planes were so tedious. He really hated them; in fact, Ray sometimes felt claustrophobic while flying. He wouldn't complain or anything, especially with Reks there, but it wouldn't improve the trip.
[indent] Ray glanced at Anika. She seemed really excited about this trip for some reason, even going out of her way to try and keep everyone happy. He didn't really understand, but thought it sort of nice. Before, he had just thought she was kind of annoying, a bit too bubbly and ditzy. But it was really nice of her to put all of this thought into the trip, even though so far it didn't seem to be going all that well. "I may have to change my opinion of her," he thought to himself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• A m i t y • Lin • -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each time you try, gonna get just a little bit better. Each day you climb, one more step up the ladder. Ray had just come into the terminal and was apologizing for being late. Amity felt a little smile spreading on her face when he set his luggage near her seat, a kind of "he chose me over everyone else" kind of happiness. But when she thought over it again, she thought that that kind of action was a tad obligatory; they were a couple after all. She continued spacing out in her seat until he finished checking in and was about to greet him. And then the announcements for boarding filled the area.
She didn't take anything out of her bags and suitcase, but she double-checked anyways. Everything seemed to be where they were supposed to be. Following the other three, she rolled her things into the plane and prepared to maneuver through the crowd to get to her seat, like all plane rides require you to do.
Right as she finished cramming the suitcase into the compartment above their heads and was about to sit in her seat, one that was in the middle row of the plane, Amity started to get mixed feelings. Ray was sitting next to her, though he was across the narrow walkway. On the other hand, she was also sitting by Reks, which stabbed her inside. They would only be one arm rest away, a couple inches, not any farther. She was thinking about what to do in this excruciating situation when Anika spoke up; she asked if Ray and Reks could switch places. Oh my god, they better consent to that proposal... Amity wished passionately, hoping that she looked like she was still pretty tranquil on the outside.
"It's alright Anika. Actually, I don't mind sitting in that arrangement either," she replied, trying to back up some pseudo-contentedness with a friendly face. Amity felt kind of bad for faking her expressions... but at least I'm not lying about my feelings.
Amity wasn't sure if Anika was suggesting that because she somehow read Amity's true feelings for Reks, but either way, she loved her best friend. Anika could always get her out of these little pinches without the trouble she would have gone through if Anika wasn't there. Besides, sitting with Roy would be better than sitting by her friend's currently-ex-boyfriend anyways. People always said that being with an ex is very awkward, though Amity never understood why, therefore she didn't really care where Reks sat as long as it was away from herself.
She wasn't the one switching seats with anyone, so Amity got settled down in the chair she would be stuck in for the next few hours. Switching her phone into Flight Mode and putting her bag under her seat, she waited for the guys to decide where they were going to be during the flight, preparing for whatever the verdict will be.It's a whole new world we live in, it's a whole new way to see. It's a whole new place, with a brand new attitude.

※ Rєкs Soſӈєiм ※ I've got the gift of one liners And you've got the curse of curves And with this gift I compose words And the question that comes forward
Are you perspiring from the irony? Or sweating to these lyrics? And this just in You're a dead fit But my wit won't allow it
The inside lingo had me at hello indentThrough his earphones, Reks could barely make out what his companions were saying. They were just an inconsistent buzzing in his ears for several seconds before he heard someone speak his name. Automatically, his attention turned to them, gently tugging his earphones from his lobes to catch what they were saying. Awesome, they're switching. I won't have to sit near Miss Gloomy. "No problem, let's give the happy couple some privacy." A crooked grin appeared on his face, glancing between Ray and Amity as he teased. Reks stood from his window seat, grabbing whatever possession he took with him and moved across the aisle, dodging Ray and Amity narrowly before sitting near Anika.
indentFor some reason, Reks could imagine Amity's face. It would be distorted in dislike for several seconds before her composure returned. He knew that she didn't care for him and it was just a teensy bit fun to fuel the fire. Justo un poco. But this was all in his head, whether or not his little taunt affected Anika's best friend was unknown to him. But a part of him just wanted it to happen. Getting on peoples' nerves was fun, especially the ones who don't show it at first. Reks found it amusing to watch them snap at one little thing after their aggravation built up from countless others that they tried their best to ignore. It was more rewarding to put work into it. Plus, for some reason, Amity just seemed to dislike him right from the get-go. And hell, Reks never even planned to string her along. It was the fact that she already felt some loathing for him which really set him off.
indentRay, on the other hand... Reks had to be careful with him. He was his friend and he respected the dude enough to tip-toe around him while poking at his girlfriend. There was no way he was going to flat out insult his girlfriend with him around... Not that it was his style either way. Reks was sent on this trip for one thing. To watch over Ray. He'd be counterproductive to get him all worked up and end up having some heart attack. My dad would KILL me if I did that... Not to mention I'd be pissed at myself. Reks frowned, he might need to lay off for this trip. They didn't have his dad up in Michigan so if something were to happen to Ray... It would be pretty bad. Ray's parents knew that which is why they spoke to Rek's dad to rope him into it as "supervision". But what kind of "protection and guidance" can he of all people give?
indentTrying not to think about the situation any further, Reks turned his attention on Anika with an instant smile, an innocent voice coming out of his lips. "I lost my teddy bear, can you sleep with me instead?" Reks gave his best puppy-dog look to Anika for several seconds before leaning back onto the armrest. Without waiting for her reaction, "Haha, just joshin'." He plucked up his headphones from his pocket and poked them into his ears. His eyes wandered away from his ex-girlfriend and to the front of the plane, his body slowly slouching in his chair before finding comfort without even sprawling his limbs out everywhere. Rek's eyes eventually closed to bring him into a deep sleep. 6am is way to early...
[[Managed to actually post, though it's short... But once again, you guys can have a conversation while he's asleep because I'm not sure how long it'll take my computer to get fixed.]]
