I am a ravenclaw just so you know. Anywayz, I have a question (and I have no clue if you can write polls and if you can then I have no idea how to). Which Harry Potter book is your favorite and why, and which Harry Potter movie is your favorite and why (put the book and movie seperately, please). You may also put your least favorite book and movie, is you wish.
My answer would have to be book #7, because it is the final book and I love finding out what happens in the end and because J. K. Rowling wrote so well I cried through some of it (ok, ok, it's wierd to cry while reading but I did), and my answer for the movie would have to be movie #1, because Harry and his friends look cuter when they are younger.
My least favorite book and movie are both #4, it was SOOOO gross when Wormtail/Peter Pettigrew cut off his hand. I saw the movie first, so I made my dad flip through the book till it wasn't gross ( I know, again, wierd but I get grossed out VERY easily).
Please respond to this post, see ya! P.S. xp boo to muggles, they dont get this stuff xp

hello Magda! I really love all the books...though I'd have to agree with you on the 7th book. She did write it very well, and I got real sad too. It was so intense!! My least favorite movie was the Half blood prince, because I didn't think it showed a lot of the important parts...I didn't really like it, and in my opinion it didn't have much of a plot. -Laughs at muggles-

Welcome, Magda! blaugh
To me, the seventh book has a category of its own. I don't consider it a HP book if someone asks me what my favourites are. It's too far up on my list I can barely see it! *squints* But, yes, it is indeed my favourite.
PoA and OotP come in close second and third.
My least favourite was the Goblet of Fire. It dragged on... and on... and on...
I agree with you, tiger, HBP didn't have that much of a plot. It was a book of foreshadowing to what was to come in the seventh.

Hello, I'd have to agree, the Seventh book is the best xD, well it's at the top of my list. As for favorite movie, hmmm. I'd have to say it was actually the first cause it stuck to the book relatively well, but when it comes to Half Blood Prince I only like that movie because of the animation. (haha yeah) Otherwise it would have to be my least favorite, apart from Goblet of Fire, the ending area of that movie kinda bugged me >.< ninja

My favourite book was the 6th. It was fantastic the first time I read it, and after reading the 7th book then rereadingthe series, it got better. After knowing exactly what everyone is going through at that time and where they're headed, I loved the book.
Favourite movie.... Probably the 5th. I don't really have a favourite, though.

I really enjoyed reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I think perhaps it was because of the introduction to Sirius--a connection to his parent's life even more--and because it was intense until the very end.
As for the movie, I didn't like it very much. It was disappointing, and Alfonso CuarĂ³n just did not do a good job of it in my opinion. I actually get kind of frustrated with people when they say it's the best one. As it's clearly not.

Favorite book.... not counting #7, which beats EVERYTHING... OotP and PoA are tied for favorite.
Movie... so far I think I have to say HBP is my favorite. I'm sure it'll get kicked out once DH1 comes out in November, but I really liked how much humor they were able to put into a story that has grown drastically darker since the beginning of the series.
Least favorite books are Chamber of Secrets and HBP -- I found Chamber extremely strange and Lockhart super-annoying, and HBP seemed to drag on and never really tell a story -- the only part of HBP I find extremely interesting is Chapter 2. Least favorite movie, probably CoS for the same reason as the book. And the basilisk looked like a T-Rex head on a snake's body.
