Mine will always be Daedalus and Spike, so what about you? Include Kindred: the Embraced or not, it's up to you. Who are your favorite vampires?

1. Barnabas Colins from the classic soap Dark Shadows. He had so many layers and Johnathan Frid played him so poetically.
2. Dracula (novel). He doesn't nearly as much dialog as some of the other characters, but his shadow looms over every page.
3. Mr. Barlowe from 'Salem's Lot. Leave it to Stephen King to bring a classic vampire to life. Ignore the 1970s minseries version of him. It was a comlete 180 from the book.

Nice! And of course, some of the older Dracula movies just serve to make the Count even creepier.

I don't know much about Vampire Diaries. I was in my dorm with no tv when it started, and I seem to have missed a lot. Oh well. I may pick it up one day. For now... heart Daedalus!!! heart

Yeah I didn't know much about it either until I saw the show and I saw Damon and was like 'Who's that?' so that made me read the book and turns out that he doesn't sparkle!!!But he is the evil type of vampire that will drink your Blood. ^_^ (Well not really evil but the type of real vampire that drinks HUMAN blood not from animals.)

Good point. Vampires drinking animal blood only works with the goings-on in Buffy and Angel.

First off, they are pretty dang likeable, but some of them just have something extra. As for Jean Claude, well, that name will never be the same for me again!

personally no matter how many vampire movies i see or books i read never match up to
Vlad the impaler or more commonly referred to Dracula biggrin
his story clearly was good enough to be told so long and still humans are fascinated by his mere past presence biggrin forever
A Vlady fan biggrin

Vlad Tepes was a seriously messed up individual, but he is a hero for his people for saving them from the Ottomans. Let's say I wouldn't have wanted to get on his bad side...
