Pantheionian Theocracy
The Pantheironians started out far different than where they are now. Originally they were a very powerful race who used genetic manipulation to make their bodies 'perfect' and they strove to be immortal. Originally in their struggle for immortality they tried to extend their life through their technology, but this only staved off death for so long. Then they found that by cloning their bodies and transferring their consciousness to a new body they could be immortal. This worked for many hundreds of years, but overtime their clones started to deteriorate because they had been making copies of copies of copies of copies for so long that the clones became unstable. Thus the fearful Pantheionians searched the galaxy for anything that could prolong their life. They encountered the Eldar and tried to kidnap some Eldar to use their bodies for new cloning material. The Eldar did not like this and they were able to drive them further out into the galaxy. Then they discovered a primitive world: Earth. There they found that Humans were a very simple species to clone, so they abducted some and used them for new genetic material. At this point the Pantheionians had died off to only a few hundred individuals, but with the humans they found a way to survive. Although they were forced to give up their original bodies and to look like humans they would survive.
They feared going through the same problem again so they decided to colonize Earth so that they could watch over their genetic material closely. Their advanced technology made it easy to pose as the gods that the Humans had already created and they adopted the new names that the Humans had for their gods. Overtime however the Humans were abused and used for whatever their "gods" commanded. The Humans had had enough and rebelled, the Pantheionians could not bring themselves to destroy their genetic material, but they were forced to leave since their subjects had become rebellious.
When they left the Pantheionians took as many of their remaining loyal subjects as they could and brought them back to their homeworlds. Their the loyal Human slaves were encouraged to breed and make more Humans that would one day be used by the Pantheionians when their technology could no longer sustain their body. The Pantheionians realized where they had gone wrong on Earth so they gave many of their subjects basic technology to make their lives more comfortable. They also treated them with more respect and although the Humans are clearly an underclass they are content with what they have.
The Pantheionian Theocracy is ruled by gods who are allied together against outside threats but when there is no war they fight and conspire amongst each other to acquire more power. Their soldiers and servants are mostly the Humans that serve them. Society is much like that of Earth in ancient times, with temples and worship playing a major part in society. The gods "gift" their servants with technology to make their lives better if they serve them well. Collectively both Humans and gods are called "Pantheionians."
(If you choose to make a Pantheionian character you can either be a god or one of their servants. When picking a god you must pick one that existed in some early Earth religion. Modern religions (Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, and any others that have been founded in the last 4000 years do not count because the Pantheionians left before they were created.) Also some gods and godesses I may want to reserve for Major NPCs so please ask first)
Elite Guards
Horus Guards: Horus Guards are the elite infantry on the battlefield. They are often used for commando missions and protecting their god should he choose to fight. They often accompany their gods and serve as body guards around their palaces and ships.

Serpent Guards: Serpent Guards are usually found guarding important temples, shrines, palaces, and other places that do not see much combat. Do not be fooled into believing they are weak fighters because they are in fact very deadly.

Anubis Guards: Anubis Guards are the most elite soldiers in the Pantheionian Theocracy. Their usual missions are as advanced stealth warriors. They excel in using hit and run attacks on far larger forces and are good as assassins as well. Sometimes they are also used as body guards for gods, although this is rare and usually it is only one or two Anubis Guards.
