Rules
1. Have Fun
2. Don't Spam
3. Don't Fight unless RP related
When Fighting:
a.) No auto-hitting (Details below)
b.) No auto-grabbing
4. No god-moding (Details below)

Okay, I'm going to be specific about fighting. Auto hitting and auto grabbing can get annoying for all parties involved. When you fight, you cannot say for example:

"Tifa quickly grabbed Rufus' head and slammed it into a wall full force."

This is a form of god-modding, because you are technically controlling the other person's actions. This is not fun for the other person, because they have no room to counter or dodge. The better way to phrase this would be:

"Tifa quickly grabbed at Rufus' head and attempted to slam it into the wall full force."

This gives Rufus the chance to either take the damage or dodge or counter. This brings another point. You have to eventually take damage. And it should go both ways. The other person should eventually take damage from your attacks as well. So as long as everyone follows this rule, everyone should be happy.

Now, god-modding. No character is better than anyone else starting out. We will start out with complete equality, and everyone builds and learns new skills. These skills are up to you, but learn them gradually. Create your character and have fun developing them.
That is what is going to be fun about this RP.

So please, enjoy this new RP venture, it has promise to be very entertaining, and gives you the chance to create a whole new character. The Bar will still be open for regular RPing, so stop by there too. ^^

Rufus stretched and yawned. It had been a long day working at the ShinRa HQ. He looked at his watch and shook his head. It was getting very late.

He had gone back to the bar to sleep, and he was walking up the stairs, listening to all the snores from the other patrons sleeping. Chuckling, he slipped into his and Tifa's room, changed clothes and slid into bed, kissing Tifa's cheek and shoulder before turning over and laying down.

Almost immediately sleep was upon him, but it didn't feel like sleep. No, he felt like he was awake. He opened his eyes to find himself somewhere else, other than his warm bed. This room was made of stone, and he was alone on a cot in the corner of a very cold room. Sitting up, head groggy, he suddenly felt that his name wasn't Rufus anymore. No, the name that sounded familiar was Gregory Silvos.

There was no mirror to be found in the room, only a metal plate that was on the floor. He picked it up and shined it with his shirt sleeve. The image that looked back surprised him. The man in the reflection had jet black hair, his eyes were green. There were multiple piercings in his left ear. Putting a hand to his face and dropping the plate to the floor, 'Gregory' took a look around. There were bars on the windows, bars on the room door.. was he in a prison? And where was the woman... what was her name...

Tifa had been waiting up for Rufus, it was awfully hard to stay awake. It was like something was dragging her towards sleep. Finally when he'd walked in, she was able to let herself drift, and sleep overtook her swiftly.

But she didn't feel like she'd fallen asleep, only closed her eyes for a short moment. When she opened them, she was in a large room made of thick wood. And it seemed to be... moving? She felt the whole room rocking slowly. The bed she was in was large, and the room was fairly wide open. She looked around cautiously, she was very confused. She couldn't remember where she was, but it seemed familiar. And her name.. was Malara Dupri? Shaking her head violently, she tried to reason with herself. It wasn't working. She found a mirror in the room and found that a young, dirty blonde woman with hazel eyes was staring back at her, looking just as confused as she did.

When she realized that this girl was actually herself, her eyes widened. She stepped back, trying to get her bearings straight. She looked out the window, searching for any sign of familiarity and gasped when she realized that there was nothing but water as far as the eye could see.

She was out to sea on a ship.

Azial pushed open the front door of the bar and stumbled over to the fireplace. He glanced around the bar, but he didn't seem to recognize where he was. He fell to his knees in front of the fireplace clutching his head before falling backwards, knocking over the various coffee tables.

He lay sprawled out on the warm carpet clutching his head while gasping softly. His eyes suddenly flashed open and he stared up towards the ceiling. He couldn't see anything.. and his brilliant red eyes had gone a pale white. He tried to move his arms and legs, but they felt as if they were pinned to the floor by some unknown force. He called out angrily before gasping in surprise as the brilliant white that filled his world quickly turned to a pitch black. His breathing slowly returned to normal as he passed into oblivion.

Azial slowly opened his eyes and slowly sat up. He reached up and ran a hand across his face before stopping suddenly. He slowly traced his fingers across a wicked scar that ran down from just below his eye down to his neck. Somebody had obviously dealt him a grievous wound.. but he didn't have any scars.. Something wasn't right..

He stood up and glanced around the establishment. Everything was so foreign.. he didn't recognize any of the people.. the whole place felt different somehow. A young woman tried to get his attention, but he didn't even notice her. He walked over to the large mirror hanging on the ornately decorated wall and stared into it.

What he saw was something he hadn't been expecting at all.. a pair of brilliant blue eyes stared back at him, and they looked quite angry. He had somehow become a stocky young man with spiked red hair similar to his own. What he saw reminded him of Squall.. but it wasn't Squall, and he wasn't Squall.. He was Azial Silvara, but he knew that wasn't who he was.. He felt like he was watching somehow. He had limited control over the body, but it was slowly slipping away.. He shook his head slowly, the other person was regaining control of him, or them.. one of the two.

His name was Lloyd Winter.. he was a wanderer from a land far to the north. He wore a pair of loose brown pants, a tight tan shirt with an ornate black crest one the right hand side, just above his chest, a tattered white cloak, and a pair of black leather boots. The emblem was a black wolverine, his family crest. He also wore an elegant black hat with a hawks feather poking out of the top. He had an ornate silver broadsword strapped to his back, and a silver buckler hanging from his arm.. he hadn't even noticed the weight..
PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 2:01 pm

Lloyd turned and glanced around the room. He was obviously in a palace of some sort.. but he didn't remember coming here. He had no reason to be in a palace, he was a wanderer, not a guard. Things were so shaky.. he was so confused. How had he gotten here? And why did his head feel fuzzy? He walked slowly towards the front door of the palace and pushed it open. The land that greeted him was covered in snow.. but he didn't recognize it. Could he be back home?

Meanwhile, Azial thrashed around on the floor. He was asleep, but he couldn't wake up. He seemed to have been trapped in a realm of dreams, or perhaps an alternate reality he experienced while sleeping? He didn't know.

Lloyd silently walked past the guards guarding the entrance to the palace and made his way down into the courtyard. He stopped in front of a window for a moment before running a finger slowly across the frigid surface. This was real.. he wasn't dreaming. He raised his head to look at the sky before sticking out his tongue to catch a snowflake. Yeah, this was real for sure..

He shook his head and began to trudge down to the stairway that lead down the frigid mountain. He had a letter in his pocket with an unusual seal on it. He had been instructed to catch a ship to some foreign land.. he couldn't remember the name, but he was on a mission of some sort. Not a "World crisis" mission, just an ordinary mission.. well, that was debatable.. strange things had a habit of barging into his life.

Confused to say the least, 'Gregory' stood up and went over to the bars of the prison door. "Hey! What am I in this cell for?"

A guard laughed at him. "You are a funny one, aren't you. You were caught after you stole some jewels from Lady Bethany of the Court. Don't worry. I'm sure the king has some wonderful execution plans for you."

Gregory's eyes shot open wide. "Lady Bethany?" Suddenly the memories flooded in. He had been staying at the home of this 'Lady' whilst on a mission, she'd invited him in with open arms. And then tried to seduce him. He had denied her. While he was out on his thieving mission, she threw her jewels into his room and called the king's guards to her home, claiming that he'd stolen them. It was then that they'd dragged him back to this god-awful prison cell that stank of stale hay and urine.

Sighing he shook his head. He didn't know how he was going to get out of this one.

Lloyd made eventually reached the bottom of the staircase. He glanced around and shook his head, there had been heavy snowfall lately, but that wasn't uncommon for a region like this one. He began to wonder what the ocean would be like as the snow crunched beneath his boots. He shrugged and looked straight ahead.

About a couple hours later he made it to a small port town. He ignored the guards that tried to question him and made his way through the town to the dock area. A trio of guardsman stood in his way. Lloyd sighed before raising an eyebrow. "This had better be good, I don't have time to waste on the like of you." The guard on the left raised a hand and pointed it towards the prison. "I don't know who you are, but if you want to make it out of this town without trouble you'll have to do us a favor. We've got a prisoner who's been causing us nothing but trouble, and he isn't scheduled to be executed for at least a year. We can't afford to keep feeding him, he just doesn't stop eating. You'll have to take him with you, or kill him, whichever."

Lloyd began to chuckle softly before walking towards the prison and entering. As he went he responded to the trio. "I'll take your problem, but you'll have to waive the ship fee. I'm not letting you dump your troubles on me for nothing."

The creak of the door opening made Gregory look up. A very happy looking guard grinned toothily at him. "Looks like you're no longer our problem, thief. You're going to be transported. You'll be put in the care of Lloyd Winter. I wouldn't do anything stupid." Two guards shackled his wrists, grabbed him at the elbows and shoved him from the room.

"Easy, you brutes, I walk just fine on my own." He walked between the two guards who's hands never left his arms for fear he'd flee. They walked him into the prison's common room where there was a man waiting for him.

"Would it be safe to assume that you are this Winter fellow who's going to be my nanny for this little trip?" He said, chuckling.

A guard elbowed him in the ribs. "Mind your tongue."

He grinned again, rubbing his side. "It has a mind of its own, I'm afraid."

The guard shook his head. "You can see the trouble we've had. He's all yours now.

Lloyd was leaning back one the couch in the common room with his feet propped up on a nearby desk. He opened his eyes as he heard the others enter. He glanced from the guards to the problem prisoner.

He raised a hand and gestured for the guards to leave. "That will be enough, I don't need a personal escort thank you very much. I'm quite capable of handling a thief." He then turned his attention the thief and smirked. "Watch your tongue thief. I am the Winter fellow who is getting you out of this prison. You are probably devastated by the fact that I'm not here to execute you, but I'm sure you are capable of being respectful when it is required, which starts as of right now."

He sat up and walked over to the prison door and threw it open. He walked past the guards towards the dock. There was a large ship called the "Squall's Venture" waiting for him. He turned to the thief and pointed to the ship. "I don't care what your goals were, but apparently you are with me now. I suppose you keep your sticky hands to yourself, and try to stick around. I don't need you pulling a runner on me."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 2:49 pm

Sighing again, Gregory shrugged his shoulders from the guards. "And here I was hoping that I'd have much more of a pleasant and intelligent conversation having been transferred to your watchful eye. Ah well, I'll have to find other means of entertaining myself."

He held his wrists up. "Can I please have these dreadful things taken off? I promise I won't run. Getting away from this horrid town is all I want to do, and if it has to be in your possession, then that will be fine with me."

He looked up at the large ship as they approached it. "Nice boat. Do you have good food aboard this life raft? Or am I to be starved to death like in the prison? And I doubt you'll have to worry about me stealing anything. I only steal what I'm told. Or if I need. I guess it's useless to tell you that I'm innocent of what they put me in for."

Lloyd turned and stared at the thief for a moment before shaking his head. "Intelligent conversation can wait until we've set sail. We'll have lots of time to kill, although I don't know how you expect to entertain yourself."

He then slid the silver longsword out of its sheath on his back and brought it down on the manacles, slicing through them easily. He then reached into his pocket with his free hand and tossed the thief a ring of keys. "There, you'll have to find out which one will remove the bracelets from your hands, but you won't have chains to hinder you."

He then turned his back and walked up the plank onto the ship. The preparations had been made months ago, and the ship was well provisioned. There weren't any treasures stored on it though. This was a transport vessel." He'd taken note of the thief's last words, he obviously wasn't a typical brigand, or he'd steal anything he could get his hands on, whenever he could.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 5:47 pm

Gregory searched through the keys to find one that fit the bracelets of the cuffs he'd been in. Finding the right one, he slipped the cuffs off and into his pocket, just in case he'd need them later for whatever reason.

He walked up the loading plank and onto the ship, looking around at the deck. "Do you own this thing?"

"And where am I going to be staying exactly? I hope I'm not being banished to the brig. I'll die of boredom before we ever reach our destination, wherever that may be." He brought a fist to his chin and rested his head on his knuckles while crossing his arms.

He walked across the deck to the side that faced the water. "I hope we don't run into any pirates on this voyage."

He knew all too well the dangers of the seas, and there was one ship in particular that was well known across all countries; the Regalia. There was a legend of a woman pirate that sailed the seas, looting and pillaging unsuspecting ships.

The lady pirate was said to be ruthless and unforgiving.

Rikaru The Fox Demon

PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 6:54 pm

Rikaru is sitting in a tree watching the stars when he slowly drifts of to sleep

he awakens to find that he is walking along a snow covered path yet he does not feel the airs cold sting as the wind blows by, he walks past a small frozen pond and looks into it and notices the change in his appearnce, his hair is brown and his eyes are a deep blue and he is wearing a mask, he pulls down the scarf to find scales along his cheeks and his teeth looking very sharp.

"ok, what has happend here, this is very curious" he says "and as i recall my name is Alan Ulrain and i am to head to that port town and take a ship to somewhere" he looks to the horizon and sees the ocean and a ship at dock then feels something else taking over, he lets the feeling take over and notices the body to walk again towards the port town putting the scarf back up across his nose

Alan enters the town and heads directly to the port manager and pays for passage onto the ship called "Squall's Venture" as he puts the small bag of coins into the managers hands the man asks "why do you wear that scarf across your face like that" Alan looks at him and says "i do not take kindly to the cold weather" which was a lie since he was born on Mirror's Mountain which is very cold at the summit esspecially during Frostmoon, the manager nods and waves him on to take the next customer

Alan finds the ship and walks up the gangplank and sets his bag down on the portside of the ship and looks out to sea waiting for the vessel to embark on its voyage
