It's probably either a cat or a bird of prey of some kind. Both are equally possible, as cats and birds of prey seem to love me. When I volunteered at an animal rehabilitation center as a wee teen I was the only one the wild hawks weren't threatened by. Everyone else but me got buzzed by them when it was feeding time (they would fly overhead really close as a warning). however, when I would feed them they would just sit there, even if another volunteer was with me. Creeped people out when they would be with me, lol. My friend who is also wiccan thinks that my totem is probably a cat, but even she says that a hawk of some kind is also likely.

I do have one that I finally decided upon. A crow or raven. Since I was young, I always thought crows were beautiful. I felt a connection to them. When I was a teen my coven name was Ravena (which I plan to use if I ever join a coven). When I moved to Washington state in 2007 I noticed crows are everywhere, and ravens even lurked about. Up here they are sacred animals to the local tribes. When I moved to my house and became a "born again pagan" I started feeding them.There are always crows around me wherever I go, greeting me. I call them my minions in jest. Anyways those are mine. And cats and parrots came in close second, but I just seem to connect with crows. They are dark, I dress dark, they are loyal, I am loyal, they are smart, I am smart, they are loud and talk a lot, I am loud and talk a lot, and so on.
If you are not sure what yours is or how to know. It takes time. Maybe go to a zoo and spend time with all the animals and wait for a connection.

i think mine might be a dog of some kind, or a horse maybe. i dont know for sure, if i could get any help finding out what i am that would be awesome. maybe i will go to the zoo soon lol

I feel a connection with all animals, but i've always always always had a connection to the red fire salamanders and dogs/wolfs. my friend said it was funny cause we found out from my dad that bracillo was a type of dog, and he is the fire god, so it explains a lot. This is what i ment by wicca found me. XD

if yours not sure what yours is, maybe it's best to think about what kinda of animal makes your heart skip a beat when you look at them, or you can stare at them (like a stalker) all day. Dsay I can't help but think of you as a horse (even if I nicknamed you moose). It does help that we are both Sagi and horse butted. Plus you love horses.

From what I know it is am animal you feel a connection with you, on the magickal side. Like I think to be stereotypical most Witches have cats as their animal.

My spirit animal is a dog. He is black and big. I have dreamed about him, and he is with me in meditation. I wouldn't have chosen a dog, that is, if it were up to me. He's friendly, burly, and very protective. In one of my dreams he was very vicious towards some spiders that were coming towards us. Ewwww...spiders. I love my doggy.

A good book to check out on spirit animals and guides is Animal Speak by Ted Andrews. It has a lot of good information in it on how to find out what yours is, and a huge encyclopedia of animals and their meanings. I originally bought a copy when I was fifteen but my bf at the time took it and never gave it back. So when I saw it was still in print just a few years ago I convinced my bf to buy it (or bought it myself, I can't remember which now haha).

i was walking with my sister selling girl scout cookies this afternoon, and we were at a neighbor's house. these particular neighbors have a pair of horses, and i don't know why, but one of them was running around the paddock, tail up, mane tossing, having a grand old time. it was one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen in my life.......
i'm thinking that the next time i try meditation, i should put one of my horse figurines on the altar and see what happens with that.

That would be a great idea. Look for horses popping up in weird places (not like real horses mind you, that would be weird). If like you notice horses on TV, in magazines and things like that. If it is you animal, then it is your animal. Another thing you can try is before you sleep ask the Goddess for your animal to appear in your dreams. Do this every night as much as you want until it happens, and when it does you will know. If you can't figure out what yours is right away, dont fret, maybe your not ready, because you will know when it happens.
