It seems that our society seems to think that the boob meat from a chicken or turkey is the best part, but frankly... I like my meat darker, like from a thigh. Thigh meat is good to cook with, and cheaper than boob meat. =3 Boob meat just seems to get dry...
So.. what do you guys think? White meat or dark? Why? Discuss! o 3o

I like my meat either way. Dark meat is nice and juicy no matter what you do with it, but light meat (if cooked right) has a lot of flavour, and nice colour.

It's very rare that I get not dry white meat... I dunno. It isn't really bad, really, but it seems much easier to do dark meat well.
Though it does help out when you're on a budget to prefer dark meat, ne. x3

I found it depends on what kind of chicken you get on whether the white meat comes out dry or still nice moist and tender. I finally found a brand that remains tender and moist even after cooking in oven!
As for which I prefer I rather eat the white meat...however it depends if I'm making a stew I'd rather have a nice mixture but with more dark meat rather then white. After all the dark meat is where you get all your broth.
I've got a few chicken recipes but they're nothing all that big.

I have moods when it comes to chicken. Sometimes I want dark meat, other times white. But the only time I really eat dark meat is if my dad buys Church's/KFC. In my own home cooking, I always use white meat.

Smothered Chicken Breasts (My creation)
You'll need:
Skillet Extra Virgin Olive Oil Chicken Breasts Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Or sliced if you prefer) Bacon (Whether bits, fresh, or instant cook is up to you.)
Instructions:
First you make sure your chicken breasts are defrosted if you keep them frozen. When ready you take some chicken breast and a skillet out. You put Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the skillet and clean your chicken breasts while your skillet heats (since it shouldn't take to long). I usually put the heat at around Medium or a little higher then Medium to cook my chicken for this meal.
You then cook the chicken breasts till it's just a little crispy, and cooked through of course, and then you pull it out of the skillet and set it onto a separate plate.
While the chicken is still hot put on some shredded Extra Sharp cheddar cheese and some bacon bits. (However, make note that if you prefer to have fresh bacon you'll want to cook that first right before you start the chicken. I use the instant bacon that you heat in the microwave it works just fine.)
