What is it with this series? Seriously, I have to ask. It's like they're stripping down everything the main characters have. First Ashley, then Tesla's power and now this. I'm actually mad at Damian Kindler now.

I also don't speak the language featured in this episode, so I can't say how accurate any of the pronunciation was. I still think it was put together well, though, apart from one slip. Everyone but Helen pronounced the empath Musa's name with a long U. Helen used a short one, as in "use". This kind of thing does not suspend disbelief. It brings it back in full force. How could it be made more obvious that the word was read off a piece of paper? I read in the opening credits that a director I well respect worked on this episode, one who's used to unusual names in scripts. How did he not catch it?

This week also marked the return of the multi-screen editing technique. It was also a good exercise in the right and wrong ways to use it. Yes, it should be used for displaying many different snips of scenes at once. No, it should NOT be used for showing pieces of the same scene, no matter what angle they're all shot from. Then it just gets annoying and old really fast.

This episode had a lot of potential, what with John's anger explained (though I liked the old explanation better) and a potential way to be rid of it. Then that last few seconds went and messed it all up. I read on IMDb that Sanctuary is set to have a third season after this one. I have to ask, how is that going to work if they've not only killed off their main antagonists, but many of their protagonists as well? Granted, John has a chance of still being alive, but it's a slim one. At this rate, Helen will lose her mind and the series will jump the shark early. This is why I'm ticked off. Please let next week be less maddening.
