»Hello fellow guildmates«
If you are one who has been perusing these forums in the past few months, you would have noticed something rather alarming. For the age and number of members this guild boasts, there is a disturbingly low total post count. Normally this wouldn't matter but considering this is a roleplay guild, the grossly disproportional ratio is quite sad in reality. Instead of having regulars, we have a shocking number of inactives. I would even go as far as to say that less than 10% of Apotheosis' members still keep up with guild activity.
•So why am I here?•
There is a simple explanation for this question. I am here because I want to have fun. I am here because I love what Apotheosis stands for as a guild. I am here because I want to protect that. And I am here because I care. Lord knows why I care so much, but I do. I'm the type of person who will get attached to things and will not let them go until I feel that their fullest potential has been met.
Apotheosis is a place where writers can gather and explore their imagination. It is a sanctuary for all your artistic endeavours. By being apart from the main forums of Gaia, the worry that your effort and ideas will become lost in the clutter of pop culture is lessened. Because we are a guild, it opens an opportunity to grow as a community of people who share similar beliefs. The closer knit we allow ourselves to become, the greater chances our horizons will expand.
Communities are supposed to be intellectual and cultural sinks. Different perspectives can be brought together in the most amazing ways and from there the freshest ideas can blossom. In this generation of increasing globalization and realization, the basic skills that can be picked up from entertainment means like roleplaying are more essential than ever. But who wants to think about civic responsibilities when you're supposed to have fun? I certainly don't but that doesn't diminish the importance any less.
A lot of work will be needed to achieve this goal of an active community and it most certainly is a task too large for just a few people to handle alone. But I believe the effort will be worth it in the long run.
